A small paradise

We were now for the third time with the Otto family in the vacation home.
Very lovely people, a beautiful, very complete clean home.
A gorgeous quiet environment, surrounded by beautiful nature and by the lovely reservoir.
Ideal for hikers, joggers, or just relaxing and swimming in the summer.

Very beautiful area and vacation rental.

We spent another fantastic holiday week at the reservoir. Our host family welcomed us warmly, as always, and greeted us in the newly renovated vacation apartment. This apartment has everything we need. Cozy furnishings and great surroundings for hiking. We will gladly come back.

The perfect vacation

If there was ever a paradise, it is right here!
The Otto family, with their friendly nature and openness, has played a significant part in this. We enjoyed the wonderful lake right by the house, the stunning green landscape, and the heavenly quiet. The holiday apartment leaves nothing to be desired in terms of its amenities. Ideal holiday apartment in a wonderful location

From the easy booking to departure, we found an accommodation in the vacation apartment of the Otto family that left nothing to be desired for us and our two dogs.
The location right on the Glörtalsperre, the complete equipment of the apartment, the cleanliness, and the friendliness of the hosts are just great.

Sooo lovingly furnished! You feel right at home from the very first moment. Also our dog girl Yasemin, a purebred mongrel :-)

A great location!

We, the four of us and our dog Chocco, enjoyed a week of peace at the Otto family's beautiful, clean, and fully equipped holiday home in a fantastic environment. You can take beautiful walks right from the house. For those who wish, there is swimming in the large lake or relaxing on one of the many benches around the lake with a book. You can hear many birds singing in the garden, and even a deer came to nibble on the plants. Amazing! Chocco had a great time playing with his ball on the grass. Marcel, thank you for the tour with my father, he loved it.
For those interested, Marcel creates beautiful woodcarvings, he is really very good at it!
He made some beautiful pieces of art for us.
Thanks for the pleasant conversations and all the tips, Alexandra and Marcel, we would love to see you again.

A stroke of luck

We were for a short holiday two adults and a dog in the flat Glörtal, and can only say a paradise.the flat is top equipped and furnished with great attention to detail. Midweek end of October 2021

A spacious, well-equipped holiday home, in a beautiful location by the reservoir, surrounded by nature. A cozy furnished accommodation, fully equipped. Our four-legged friends were also more than welcome.
Within walking distance, a very good restaurant with delicious schnitzels.
Sandra is a pleasant hostess who welcomed us well, with the necessary explanations! We will definitely come back!

The holiday apartment has everything one could wish for. The landlady is incredibly nice. The location of the holiday apartment is unbeatable. Ferienunterkunft

Very nice holiday accommodation, nothing is missing. Right in the middle of the forest and directly by the water, it couldn't be better. Very well-kept property with lots of flowers, a large lawn, and parking. There are many flyers and maps available that give hints on what activities to do. The friendly landlady, Mrs. Otto, has taken care of everything to make everyone feel comfortable here.

We, residents of Cologne, unfortunately only spent four days with our two dogs in the wonderfully beautiful apartment of Mrs. Otto. We were warmly welcomed and our dogs got treats. We were overwhelmed by the lovingly furnished apartment, which leaves nothing to be desired. We felt right at home, even better! We have never encountered such a beautifully equipped holiday apartment before and also the beautiful large garden. Our landlady is extremely friendly and attentive, she even remembered our dog's birthday and had a surprise for him.
The beautiful garden, the lake at the doorstep, the variety of hiking trails, a restaurant nearby, what more could one ask for.
We will be back soon and are already looking forward to our vacation with you.

A wonderfully beautiful relaxation holiday

Dear Sandra,
thank you so much for the wonderfully relaxing vacation we were able to enjoy at your place.
Your holiday apartment is simply top-notch and so far the best we have ever rented. From the spacious layout of the rooms, the very good mattresses... slept like children ;-), the super comfortable couch, and the fully equipped cabinets; "EVERYTHING" was there for a great vacation. The swivel grill is super easy to use and the grilled food turns out perfectly. The large terrace with its wonderful view of the garden and forest allowed us to linger outside for a long time and forget about Corona. There are many games available for indoor and outdoor use. We particularly enjoyed playing table tennis and badminton in the large garden. The absolute highlight was the deer grazing directly in the garden, which we observed, photographed, and filmed for a long time. Just great for nature and silence lovers. Also nice is the gate at the property leading directly into the forest and to the bathing lake.

We enjoyed your warm way and the nice conversations with you. All in all, we felt very comfortable all around. We are already looking forward to our next vacation with you and your family, which is coming up soon. :-)

Super schöner Urlaub

I was on vacation with both dogs for the first time and I have to say it was fantastic. From the booking request to the last day of vacation, everything went great. Both dogs were fully accepted!
The apartment is simply a DREAM: spacious, cozy, very nicely furnished, and very clean.
I was quite surprised by everything that is available. Just great.
And the location is also a dream - in the middle of nature and by the water. What more could you want on vacation?! A super nice landlady with her family on top of that. If you don't feel comfortable here, it's really your own fault. From me (and the dogs :-) ), there is a very clear 5-star rating and of course a 150% recommendation. We will gladly come back!

For us, this is a wonderful holiday spot where we have been coming for seven years now. This year was special because the reservoir was completely drained for adjustments to the dam. Our vacation here was no less enjoyable for us, on the contrary, an empty lake has its own charm and leaves a very special impression. The holiday home is spacious, beautifully decorated, and fully equipped. The location of the vacation home, as well as the immediate surroundings, are unique and very suitable for a relaxing holiday.

Prachtige vakantie woning

This house is in a beautiful spot, right near the reservoir. There's also a lovely big garden where you can sit in the sun (if it's shining). Everything you need is in the house, including things for the garden like sun loungers and table tennis. We've been there five times now and we still enjoy it. We're definitely not tired of the area yet. Sandra is there for all your questions, she's happy to help. This year, I had a delightful chat with Sandra at the large table, with a cup of coffee, cozy.
The house is fantastic in one word, I recommend this house.
And who knows, maybe we'll go again next year?

What a fantastic holiday home in a fantastic location. Here you really feel like you are getting away. The holiday home is very spacious and fully equipped, leaving nothing to be desired. The decor is beautiful and more than complete. The space around the house is huge (garden plus parking facilities), providing a lot of privacy. The property is located just a stone's throw away from the reservoir and the forest, so you can head out directly with children or, in our case, with the dogs. For any questions about the property, the garden, or the surroundings, you can always turn to the exceptionally friendly and helpful owner, Sandra. The area is also unique, offering plenty of opportunities to enjoy nature in the immediate surroundings, and if you enjoy culture or shopping, there are many villages and cities that are all easily accessible. This holiday home is an absolute must and has all the ingredients for a great holiday, and we will definitely be back.
