Description
The Siegglück holiday home is located on the banks of the Sieg. You can swim into the river from the garden. The house has been completely renovated.
Let your soul dangle in the river for a while. Sleep late in the morning, get some rolls, have breakfast, read, slowly think about dinner, go shopping, then maybe go for a walk in the forest or jogging, or a boat-canoe tour, oh, I'll go fishing and the children will swim. Before dinner, a sauna and then into the river. Cook a delicious meal, play in front of the fireplace and then finally go back to sleep.
Swimming, boat trips, fishing, hiking, cycling and much more are possible without a car directly from the house. In Dattenfeld there are two supermarkets, a pharmacy and restaurants within walking distance
Our house was lavishly restored and renovated according to building biology and monument preservation principles with very high-quality materials.
The house is an old farmhouse with charm. It is not perfectionist, but alive, renovated from natural building materials with great attention to detail
We like materials to age with dignity.

Our house is located directly on the river Sieg and thus stands on one of the few direct water properties on a river in NRW.
The Windecker Ländchen: Only 60 km from Cologne, 90 km from Düsseldorf and 50 km from Bonn, where the Sieg is at its most beautiful, in the middle of the Bergisches Land Nature Park, lies the recreation area 'Windecker Ländchen'. Here the Sieg runs in strongly winding river loops.
Wooded hilltops rise from 100 to 378 m above sea level out of the Sieg valley, with more than 100 picturesque settlements, farmsteads, villages and hamlets scattered in between.
Half of Windecker Ländchen is forested and offers peace and relaxation. Hiking and cycling is possible on the 300 km of cycling and hiking trails.

Dreamlike weekend
We had a wonderful weekend at Siegglück! The location is very quiet and idyllic – ideal for leaving the hustle and bustle of everyday life in the big city behind. The house itself is super cozy and clean. The town was decorated for Christmas, and after a long walk in nature, we were even able to visit the Christmas market at the castle :) A fantastic stay all around. Thank you, we would love to come back!

Oasis of peace and happiness
For many years now, we have been coming to Siegglück. And it truly deserves its name.
Whether with children and friendly families or as a couple: Siegglück is a place to enjoy nature, celebrate after hiking with the sauna and a jump into the Sieg, or simply relax. In the well-equipped kitchen, one can cook wonderfully and enjoy the meal on the terrace, ending the evening by the fire bowl. We gladly come here and always look forward to the next stay when we depart.

Super holiday home in a beautiful location
We spent a super weekend with 10 friends in the beautiful "Haus Siegglück"
The immediate location and direct access to the Sieg are unique. The large garden and the available equipment really leave nothing to be desired. You only need to step out of the front door and you can go on great walks straight away
We can also only recommend the uncomplicated and nice contact with the landlord, Mr. Fietzek!

Relaxing time with friends
We rented the house to have a few good days together with four friends, after having scattered around the world a bit and not being able to see each other that often. The weather was constantly awful, so there was no hiking tour, no outing.... took place; we were actually only in the house. Still, we didn't have a minute of camp fever. Why? No matter if you watch the Sieg rushing by through the panoramic windows of the living room, relax in the evening by the fireplace or in the sauna, whip up delicious meals in the well-equipped kitchen: we had everything we needed for our happiness. The landlord is also very nice. Back again every time!
