The farm estate has a size of 40 hectares, half of which is wooded and lies on the border of Tuscany and Umbria in a hilly, rural countryside amidst fields, vineyards and olive groves, approx. 8 km west of Lake Trasimeno. This place is ideal for families and people who wish to relax and to enjoy their holidays in the country. Il Castagneto offers to all its guests: a swimming pool 8 x 20 m, a tennis court, table-tennis, a mini bowling and two small fishing ponds. In autumn the owner will accompany you and advise on picking mushrooms. On request Mrs. Elsa cooks typical Italian dishes for her guests, mainly with her own products, in her own restaurant. A complete dinner including drinks (wine, coffee, grappa) costs Euro 15,-.. The farm is composed of 5 buildings. The first house is a two-storey house with 2 appartments (Melograno, Rose) and the owner’s appartment. The second building nearby, consists of 2 apartments(Fico and Salice) adjacent to which is the owner’s restaurant. Nearby is the table-tennis, the swimming-pool and the tennis-court. Approx. 50 m away from the pool, at the edge of the forest, there is another one-storied house with 2 adjacent appartments (Olivo and Valentino).On the estate there is an individual house “Casa Bosco” amidst a small forest. The fourth house “Casa Luigi” as well as The fifth one “Le Cannucce” are described separately.
