Description
The villa Artemis with its approx. 70 cm thick exterior walls was built outside Prines on a dream plot of approx. 4500 sqm in natural surroundings. Prines is located in the north of Crete near Rethymnon.
Villa Artemis was built without thresholds and at ground level.
It is therefore also suitable for wheelchair users and guests with walking difficulties.
The exclusive villa also contributes to your holiday happiness in the "colder" season with its large heated pool.
According to the classification of the German Tourism Association, Villa Artemis would have 5 stars.
Villa Artemis is nestled in the middle of nature. Approx. 1000-year-old olive, carob, oak and many other trees provide you with sufficient shade. Here you can relax and enjoy the beautiful sunsets in the evening.
Villa Artemis has been equipped with 3 bedrooms, two with king-size beds and one with two single beds. In the bedroom with the two single beds there is also a small gallery with 2 sleeping places. One of the double beds does not have a footboard, so that even tall people feel comfortable. The beds have back-friendly mattresses. All bedrooms have air conditioning and TV. Two bedrooms each have an en-suite bathroom with XXL shower and double washbasin and toilet.
One of the three bathrooms is equipped with a Jacuzzi.
The double beds are approx. 1.80 m wide, the single beds are 90 cm wide. They are made of wrought iron by a blacksmith.
The kitchen leaves nothing to be desired. It has almost 20 sqm and is fully equipped and separated from the living room with a counter.
The open kitchen with living room is over 65 sqm and comfortably furnished.
There is a fireplace in the living room. The sofas are comfortable and cosy, one is three metres long. You will also find a large Full HD TV with Ambilight, a stereo system suitable for almost all iPhones, DVD-Blu-Ray player, a small library and DVD collection. A desk is also located here. Internet is available with WIFI. Of course, the living room is also equipped with AC and fan.
On the spacious shaded terraces you can make yourself comfortable in teak furniture of particularly good quality, or relax in the comfortable rattan armchairs. The terraces extend over approx. 250 sqm.
The pool of approx. 50 sqm provides pleasant cooling in summer. In the colder season the pool can be heated. (If the outside temperature allows it to approx. 28°) Via non-slip steps you enter the heatable pool, can relax and really enjoy yourself!
Enjoy your morning exercise on the large terrace. The villa is equipped with a yoga mat. If desired, Mira, the yoga teacher can be booked and will be happy to come to your villa
An outdoor shower with hot and cold water offers additional comfort.
The washing machine is located in an extra storage room. Ironing board, iron ... are also available.
On the approx. 120 sqm roof terrace there are also high-quality teak loungers and exclusive wicker furniture.
You can show off your cooking skills at the large brick barbecue.
For the little ones there is a playground with swing and sandbox.

Location and surroundings of object
The villa is located on the edge of the village of Prines. Around the villa there is almost "only" the harbour town of Rethymno with shops, Lidl, restaurants and culture you can reach by car in 10 minutes. Prines is situated above the bay of Rethymno. If you drive on the old national road from Rethymnon to Prines, you first pass through the larger neighbouring village of Atsipopoulo. Many Rethymnon residents have built their family homes there, and numerous shops and other commercial enterprises have settled there. If you drive from Atsipopoulo to Prines, you will find the taverna "Giannikos" on the right-hand side, which also serves as a kafenion. This also includes the tables and chairs on the small, cosy village square right next to it, which is shaded by some large trees. Just opposite is the smaller of Prines' two mini-markets. The old village centre is behind the taverna "Giannikos". If you continue along the old national road for 100 m in the direction of Georgioupolis, you will see Antonis' taverna "The Olive" on the right-hand side. Here you can eat Greek dishes prepared by mum every day. Dad grills and Antonis serves. There is also a cosy morning pint here. Almost opposite is the larger of the two mini-markets and the local citizens' office. At the end of the village there is a petrol station on the right, a butcher's shop and a country store, and at the very end there is the cafe "Gesthimani" with a snack bar. The neighbouring village of Atsipopoulo has almost all the shops you could wish for within easy reach.

This is staggered by category and season: The fee from March 1st - October 31st is €10.00/night per villa and from November 1st - February 29th it is €4.00/night, regardless of the number of guests. The amount can be transferred to us before arrival, or paid in cash, or with Visa or Master card. |

The perfect family villa
The perfect villa for our family. The children romped in the pool and jacuzzi all day. The gas barbecue was often in use. In the evening we went to Prines to the taverna. Super tasty
The house was very well kept and clean. We didn't want for anything. The garden was great. The pool and jacuzzi were clean and well maintained. We can gladly recommend the villa.
