Description
Beautiful, spacious holiday home with a sunny private terrace and a view of the dunes of Dishoek (and our dogs). The holiday home stands separately in the middle of a well-maintained garden with many flowers. All rooms are on the ground floor or 1st floor. Our holiday home can still be booked starting from Oktober 2023.
Layout:
Corridor with toilet and stairs to the first floor with 2 spacious bedrooms and spacious hallway, bathroom with shower, sink and washing machine, living room with open kitchen (equipped with induction hob,dishwasher and combi oven) through sliding doors you reach a sunny and private terrace with views of the dunes.
Our holiday flat has underfloor heating and is well insulated. So it is also comfortable before and after the high season. The flat has Wifi, TV. If necessary, you can use a cot and high chair (free of charge).
Parking is possible in front of the door and you can park your bicycles in the shed.
Our flat is non-smoking and pets are not welcome.

Location and surroundings of object
The holiday home is located just outside Dishoek and a 10-minute walk from the beach (dune crossing Kaapduin). From the private terrace, you overlook the dunes and our chickens!
The location of the holiday home is quiet yet central with Koudekerke, Zoutelande, Vlissingen and Middelburg within 5 -8 km cycling distance. Nice trips to Domburg, Veere, Neeltje Jans or to Belgium with Antwerp and Bruges. Dishoek and Koudekerke belong to the municipality of Veere on the island of Walcheren. The beaches are clean and equipped with many conveniences, such as showers, toilets and play equipment for children.
In Dishoek there are several restaurants, an ice cream parlour, a snack bar, a small supermarket and a bicycle rental. Koudekerke has two large supermarkets, a bakery, pharmacy, doctor and a weekly fishmonger.

Holidays in a beautiful setting
We spent a very varied week with sun, rain, and wind in this lovely cottage. Nothing was missing, and the pleasant neighborhood with the nice hosts is particularly noteworthy. Many thanks to Muriël and John.

Nice holiday home, everything is present! Lovely quiet place. Cozy with the chickens. Convenient location near the sea, Vlissingen, Middelburg and walking and cycling routes.

Super nice vacation rental
The cottage is located super in a quiet garden. Very private and quiet. Only 10 to 15 minutes walk to the beach. The owners are very nice, friendly and helpful. The house spacious and very clean. We only missed a few things for small children in the kitchen. We will definitely come here again.

It was wonderful for the 2nd time
We can only recommend the holiday home!!!! Muriel is a wonderful landlord.
We stayed there for one week in the summer of 2022 and two weeks in 2023 with our two young sons.
They were great vacations in a wonderful holiday home. Our 3-year-old loved feeding the chickens in the morning and evening. We will definitely come back!!!!

Super vacation
We stayed with Muriel and John for a week. Everything from booking to departure was great. The booking process took only a few hours. The arrival was very welcoming and everything you need in a vacation home was available. The fresh eggs and beautiful flowers in the house were great, as well as the pet chicken ?! We only moved our car once a week and did everything else by bike. We will definitely come back. Thank you very much.

Great holiday with chicken
Normally, you don't like it when the landlord's family lives on the same property
But here it's different...!
Because Muriël and John are as friendly as they are funny. At the same time reserved, but also always there when you need them. Perfect.
The latter was rarely necessary, as the house is really well equipped and you have everything you need for a perfect holiday. Including a shed for the bicycles and such.
Next to/behind the house there is access to the ponies on the neighbouring property.
The view from the terrace into the garden is beautiful and you are really invisible because of the plants
A highlight are the quite tame chickens living behind a fence in their own garden, which sometimes go for a walk and like to be spoiled with food. Our son has been a chicken fan ever since.
As an encore, the feathered friends naturally donated the breakfast eggs.
The location of the house is ideal, because it is only a few minutes to the beach, the cycle paths are almost around the corner and the nearest towns and cities can be reached quickly. Koudekerke is right between Vlissingen and Zoutelande.
Middelburg is not far away, nor are Westkapelle, Domburg and Oostkapelle
In the ruyter town of Vlissingen, don't miss a visit to the maritime muZEEum (with a view from the roof)
The Watersnoodmuseum in Ouwekerk is also highly recommended.
For travellers with children, the Berkenhof Tropical Zoo in Kwadendamme is a must (don't forget your swimming trunks). Of course you can also go without children
In short: the yellow house in Dishoekseweg offers peace and relaxation, nice animals and even nicer landlords and is an excellent starting point for all kinds of explorations of the beautiful island of Zeeland.

Sehr schönes Ferienhaus und liebevolle Gastgeber
Wir hatten eine super schöne Zeit in Dishoek bei Muriël und ihrer Familie.
Unsere Tochter hatte viel Spaß mit den Hühner, diese leben direkt neben der Terrasse.
Fahrräder können direkt am Haus sicher in der Garage verstaut werden.
Man ist in schnell am wunderbaren Strand von Dishoek und auch die anderen Orte sind schnell mit dem Fahrrad erreichbar.
Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit und bis bald!

Hele fijne week in Dishoek
We hebben een hele fijne week doorgebracht in het vakantiehuis van Muriël en John. Het vakantiehuis was voor ons van alle gemakken voorzien en heeft een mooi terras op de zon. Het huis ligt bovendien op loop afstand 15 minuten van het strand. En bovenal waren Muriël en John heel erg vriendelijk en gastvrij.

Ideaal vakantiehuisje
Dit jaar gaan wij voor de zevende keer naar deze locatie, dus dat zegt wel wat over de kwaliteit. Elke keer worden wij hartelijk ontvangen door de familie Verhage. Er staan overal verse bloemetjes in het huisje, verse eitjes in het rekje, en Zeeuwse bolussen op tafel. Je voelt je er meteen thuis. Het is er schoon, goede bedden, en een terras op het zuiden. We genieten er van de rust en de rondscharrelende kippetjes. Het ligt heel centraal, met de fiets ben je zo in Middelburg, Vlissingen en Zoutelande. Ook zijn er veel fiets en wandelroutes in de omgeving. Je wandelt in 10 minuutjes naar het mooie brede strand, en je kunt er genieten van een prachtige zonsondergang. Tips: 1. In Vlissingen met de fiets/voetveerpont naar het vissersdorpje Breskens voor heerlijke mosselen. Je kunt er langs de hele kust van Zeeuws Vlaanderen fietsen.
2. Het middeleeuws dorpje Veere is ook zeer de moeite waard.
Al met al zeer geschikt voor een fijne vakantie!

Der ideale Urlaubsort in Zeeland
Für uns ist es der idealste Ort in Zeeland.
Die Lage ist wunderschön und ruhig. Es hat alles was Sie brauchen. Schöne Umgebung. Ziemlich nah am Strand. Restaurants etc. auch in unmittelbarer Nähe. Gute Supermärkte auch in der Nähe. Es ist ein großartiger Ausgangspunkt für schöne Rad- oder Wandertouren.
Muriël und John sind die Eigentümer des Hauses, zusammen mit ihren Kindern bieten sie einen großartigen Service, ohne tatsächlich anwesend zu sein. Zeeland Gastfreundschaft von seiner besten Seite.
Es ist nicht ganz fair von uns, da wir schon ein paar Mal dort waren, also etwas voreingenommen, aber für uns fühlt es sich wie zu Hause an.
Auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert für eine unterhaltsame Woche an der Küste Zeelands mit dem schönsten Strand und den höchsten Dünen. 5 von 5 Sternen

Great holiday home
We felt very comfortable in Muriël and John's beautiful holiday home. We prefer a rather quiet holiday accommodation away from the holiday parks. The cottage is ideal for this. Short distance by bike to the beach. Good shopping facilities in Vlissingen (Lidl) within 10 minutes by car. The holiday home corresponds to the description and the pictures. We were very happy about the fresh flowers, the eggs and the pastries. The highlight for the kids are of course the chickens and the cats. Our daughter loved feeding the chickens from her hand. Now she also wants chickens and a cat. (;)

Wunderbares Ferienhaus in familiärer Atmosphäre
Das Haus ist sehr gemütlich, sauber und ordentlich, mit allem hochwertig ausgestattet, was man braucht (auch mit Kleinkind). Die Lage ist ruhig und idyllisch und besonders die Hühner auf der Terasse ein Highlight. Die Gastgeber sind super freundlich, hilfsbereit und unkompliziert und es hat alles super geklappt und unser Sohn hat auch gerne mit den Kindern gespielt.
In ca. 10 Minuten ist man am Strand sowie im kleinen Zentrum von Dishoek, auf dem Nordsee-Radweg kann man tolle Ausflüge in die umliegenden Orte und Strände machen.
Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne mal wieder!

Toller Familienurlaub
Tolle Gastgeber, im Haus ist alles vorhanden, was man für einen schönen Urlaub braucht.
Die Hühner haben unseren Sohn die ganze Zeit begeistert. Der Tipp der Vermieterin "Hof Poppendamme" bei einem Regentag zu besuchen war genau richtig... Können wir nur empfehlen.
Der Weg zum Strand führt praktischerweise an einer Eisdiele und einem Fish & Chips vorbei...
Der Fahrradverleih ist zu Fuß zu erreichen...
Ein gelungener Urlaub, wir würden wiederkommen!
