Great accommodation in a fantastic location

With two families (two small children each under 3 years old), we rented the house for two weeks. The communication with the landlord was super friendly, reliable, pragmatic, and very dependable. The house is located in a holiday home settlement and very close to the Lyngvig Fyr lighthouse and the dunes and beach behind it. In the evening, the lighthouse's beacon enchants, visible from the living room. The property is framed by overgrown walls. A playhouse, a climbing tower with a slide, as well as a soccer goal and several seating areas and loungers are available outside. This makes it very suitable for a vacation with children.
Inside the house, everything is lovingly furnished. Of the three bedrooms, one is designed with a bunk bed for children. Overall, it is a bit noisy, which is why long gatherings in the living room and at the dining table with sleeping children in the evening were only possible to a limited extent. However, since one finds so many destinations during the day and quickly finds the way to bed in the evening, tired and satisfied, this is not a problem.
The kitchen is equipped with all the essentials. Storage space and a large refrigerator are available for smaller amounts of personal food. Additionally, there is a washing machine and a dryer. Movie or TV evenings are also quite possible, but we did not take advantage of them. It is possible to take the bus after a short walk to the main road, which runs frequently and affordably north (Sondervig and Ringkobing) and south (Hvide Sande). However, it is noticeably a location for drivers. Overall, a great accommodation with a wonderful landlord. Well suited for a vacation with child(ren).

Good accommodation

+ Very many different seating options on the huge terrace
Hot tub, sauna
Shed
Feel-good factor
Many varied beaches and attractions nearby

- Long and arduous path to the beach
Cleaning staff was still busy for ½ hour upon our punctual arrival
Communication with the landlord was difficult, but was ultimately resolved to our satisfaction.

A small cozy little house

It is a wonderful little house that has everything needed for a vacation for two. For four people, we would only recommend the house with smaller children, as it is indeed small. The landlords are super nice and always helpful. The surroundings are great for walks on the beach, but the beach itself is quite stony for a bathing holiday. If one wanted to mention something for improvement, it would be the double bed with its sagging mattresses.

What do you need to experience in West Jutland?

Deep Connection with Nature in West Jutland

You can find a magnificent North Sea beach in the Danish dune landscape in the holiday destination of West Jutland in various places and regions. For example, Blåvand is recommended, from where the beaches stretch almost unbroken for more than 100 kilometers up to the Limfjord. The sea sections are wild and untouched. Here, nature is still unrestrainedly at work, the seagulls screech over the dunes, and the oats sway gently in the wind. In short: The atmosphere during a holiday with a holiday house or apartment by the sea is unique. West Jutland is also popular among kite and windsurfers. At Ringkøbing Fjord, there are several surf schools that can teach you this sport. You can delve deep into the history and culture of this country at the open-air museums Hjerl Hede, Skerjn Egvad, or Moesgård. The small Christiansfeld is part of the World Heritage, as are the Jelling runestones. The fascinating Wadden Sea, which belongs to the World Natural Heritage, is yours to explore. Visit the wonderful small town of Tønder and the village of Møgeltønder, which brings you closer to the original West Jutland. The picturesque Ribe is the oldest town in Denmark and impresses with a relaxed and soothing ambiance. Always worth a visit is Aarhus, the European Capital of Culture 2017. Or travel all the way to Skagen and thus to the northern tip of Jutland. Also worth seeing is the Historiecenter Dybbøl Banke, a history center at the site of the legendary Battle at the Dybbøl Mill. Rent a cozy holiday accommodation or a beach house directly by the water, for example in Søndervig, Vrist, or Central West Jutland, or on the idyllic sandy beach of the North Sea, and experience unforgettable, relaxing holidays full of activities and visits to numerous attractions in the varied holiday region.

What can you experience in West Jutland with children?

Across Beautiful, Flat Land

Visit family-friendly West Jutland and the North Sea with the whole family and rent a spacious accommodation or a holiday house or a beautiful holiday apartment with a view of the water for your family and children privately. The landscape is perfect for extensive bike rides and walks for both young and old. Also, visit the Viking Museum! The routes are mostly easy to manage, with few inclines. In the warm months, you can splash in the North Sea at bathing beaches and enjoy the beaches of the country. A major highlight during a holiday with the kids is a visit to Legoland in Billund with a total of around 45 million Lego bricks. Not far from Herning is Jyllands Park Zoo, known as Denmark's largest mini-zoo. You and your family or children can get closer to marine creatures at Jyllands Akvariet. Take idyllic walks past bathing beaches, heathlands, fjords, and bays in the holiday region. Also, make a trip to Bork Havn, to Vejlby Klit or Holmsland Klit, to Fanö, Römö, to Vejers Strand, Henne Strand, Strand Blavland, or to surrounding fishing villages.

Where can I eat out in West Jutland?

Specialties with World Fame

During your holiday with a holiday house or apartment at Hvide Sande or Ringköbig, rented privately on the west coast of West Jutland or on the endless sandy beach, do not miss the culinary delights of the country. Some of the accommodations are well-equipped, and you can cater for yourself. For this, a visit to the local weekly market to buy regional specialties is suitable. These include, for example, air-dried plaice. In the local eateries, you can find Thy Brewery's amber beer or the world-famous Smørrebrød, which is more than just a buttered bread but is artfully prepared. Of course, fish and meat specialties are also widespread. Delicious options are also available at the numerous small fish snacks or the small smokehouses at the harbors. Sweets are also highly popular: try the cinnamon rolls Kanelsnegl, the rolls Boller, or the doughnuts Æbleskiver.
