I booked the hotel because it was centrally located and I needed accommodation for the week. Upon my arrival, I was greeted and the room key was handed over. After I entered the room, I went into the bathroom. The entire floor was slimy and partly visibly uncleaned. Consequently, I went to the reception with my suitcase and requested to be assigned another room for the aforementioned reason. I was assigned a new room, and the staff apologized for the inconvenience and offered a free drink to choose from. Upon arriving in the second room, I immediately looked at the bathroom. The floor was fine this time. However, there were some dust bunnies on the floor in the room that were not removed during cleaning. The rooms are very dated and do not meet the current standard. The corridors were also visibly scratched on the walls and not clean. Since I had to leave earlier for personal reasons, I asked if the two unused nights, the parking fee, and the tourist tax could be refunded as a gesture of goodwill. It was correctly noted here that I had booked the rooms without a cancellation. I then asked whether a goodwill request could be made and subsequently received an email address to which I could address my concern. This was therefore not taken up directly, but this effort is now mine as a guest. I was also referred to the provided email address regarding my request for a refund of parking costs and the tourist tax that I had to pay separately. Since this booking was not made through the hotel's website and thus no cancellation is excluded, I was not satisfied with this approach. The service to the customer/guest looks different to me and is improvable. Furthermore, on the second evening, despite having paid for a parking space, I had problems finding a parking spot. I then stood at the edge of the exit and informed the reception that if another guest has problems at the exit, the reception can call me in the room. I did not see the need to look for a parking space on the street although a parking space was booked and paid for. The Hotel Belvilla is bookable for one night in my view, but I would not make a recommendation or referral due to the rooms and the way a goodwill request is handled.

Upon arrival at the reception, a request for a particularly quiet room immediately resulted in the planned room being swapped for one facing the back. And indeed, it was perfect. Good mattresses, decent pillows, quiet, tea prepared, it couldn't be better.

The stay at the hotel was really good and the staff very friendly and accommodating. The booking procedure and the constant sending of emails—partly duplicate—and confusing are in urgent need of renovation.
