Historic Buildings Outside Europa-Park

Schloss Balthasa, located in the center, once served as a luxurious accommodation for the nobility of Böcklinsau. Today, one of Europa-Park's restaurants is housed within the castle. Balzare-Schlösschen is also connected to the nobility of Böcklinsau. This manor house dates back to the early Renaissance. The building is still inhabited and can only be viewed from the outside. Since 1999, a memorial has been located at the site of the former synagogue. The three former archways of the portals are still preserved. The Old Town Hall is also one of the most popular attractions outside Europa-Park. Today, a bank occupies the ground floor, while a room on the upper floor is used as a civic hall. Pfarrkirche Petri in Ketten is the only Catholic parish church in Rust. During renovations in the 1950s, the church was "turned around." The altar was moved from the eastern to the western side of the nave.

In Baden-Baden, experience art and culture along a mile-long stretch starting with a festival hall. The mile leads you past a drinking hall, to a casino, a neo-baroque theater, and the LA8 Museum. The museum is open Tuesday to Sunday from 11 AM – 6 PM. Admission costs €9 for adults and €5 for children and teenagers aged 13 to 18 (as of August 2023). Continue through beautiful parks and gardens to the State Art Gallery, the Frieder Burda Museum, and the City Museum. The mile concludes with the Lichtenthal Abbey and Brahms House.
