It dates back to 1484 and is a Gothic structure with three little towers. Also worth seeing is the market fountain, built in 1575. The column features the Archangel Michael, who with his flaming sword and the scales of souls is supposed to ward off evil. One of the oldest water dispensers in the city is the Mother-in-Law Fountain. Also impressive are the Old Court Pharmacy, a half-timbered building from 1557. Other highlights include the late Gothic town church or the synagogue from 1791. The remnants of the city wall with the Thief's Tower can also still be visited. The "Michelstadt Castle" is a half-timbered complex on the former city wall. Today, you will find the Odenwald Regional Museum and the tourist information office here. For families, the Toy Museum or the Motorcycle Museum are highly suitable. In the district of Steinbach, you can visit the Einhard Basilica, completed in 827. In the hamlet of Eulbach, there is Eulbach Park, an English landscape garden perfect for relaxing and lingering. Also impressive are the Roman bath and the fortresses as part of the Neckar-Odenwald Limes. On the Michelstadt cemetery, you will find the late Gothic Holy Cross Chapel.
