Perfect for the whole family

We have booked the apartment several times already to accommodate our relatives. Every time, everyone is very satisfied! Can be recommended without reservation! The garden is also especially beautiful, where we have already had many shared dinners in the summer.

Large apartment with small flaws

The apartment is really generously sized and quite nicely furnished. To our surprise - because nowhere mentioned - it is located in the well, basement. That's where the first "flaw" is: it was impossible to read anywhere nicely during the day or night, i.e. the necessary lighting for this location was missing. The bathroom was wonderful, but there were no options at all to hang towels, not a single hook or rod anywhere. And in the kitchen, we found the equipment with pans and pots in need of renewal and supplementation, at least if one really wants to cook! But otherwise: nice apartment!

The Neue Residenz was built by Cardinal Albrecht of Brandenburg in the 16th century, inspired by the Italian Renaissance. The foundation stone for Moritzburg was laid in the 15th century. The castle, or rather the palace, is styled in late Gothic. Since the early 20th century, Moritzburg has housed an art museum. In 1929, Bauhaus master Lyonel Feininger briefly maintained his studio in Moritzburg. Today, the museum honors the artist with a permanent exhibition. Significant works of Expressionism were lost during the Nazi era when they were defamed as "Degenerate Art." Another impressive fortification is the Burg Giebichenstein located north of the downtown area, dating from the 12th and 13th centuries. Part of the Burg Giebichenstein Art College Halle, founded in 1915, is located within the complex, which established itself in the tradition of the German Werkbund as a competitor to the Bauhaus Dessau. Continue your tour through Halle to the opera house, dating from the late 19th century. At the time, it was one of the most technically advanced theaters in Europe. Today, Halle boasts a vibrant theater and orchestra scene. This includes a puppet theater for children and adults, the Puppentheater Halle, and the Steintor Varieté, the oldest variety theater in Germany. Unique to German cities are the urban river islands formed by four arms of the Saale: Raben Island, Saline Island, Peißnitz Island, Ziegelwiesen Island, and Forstwerder Island.
