We spent a weekend in this beautiful holiday apartment and can absolutely recommend it.
The apartment is beautiful, very high-quality furnished, very clean.
Nothing is missing.
The landlords are very nice and helpful and always approachable.
The bread service makes the stay even more perfect.
The holiday apartment is very well suited for families.
During our next stay in Naumburg, we will gladly book here again.

Where else can you find that? A super beautifully equipped apartment with all accessories, homemade jam (very delicious!!), apple juice and always freshly treated drinking water? !! Here we really felt the attention to detail, being welcomed guests and the quiet, yet central location to the historic old town of Naumburg is simply ideal. Naumburg is beautiful!!

The city's landmark is the Naumburg Cathedral St. Peter and Paul. This impressive building is a late Romanesque-early Gothic basilica with four towers and a cloister. A visit costs €9.50 but is generally worth it. (As of November 2023) The last remaining gate of the citizen's town can be found near the Maria Magdalene Churches. The impressive Marientor is part of the Naumburg City Museum. The fascinating Wenzel Tower of the St. Wenzel city church is another major attraction in Naumburg. A highlight occurs annually on the last weekend of June when the city of Naumburg invites you to the Hussite Cherry Festival. Here you will experience a medieval market hustle, mock battles, music, a large parade, a wine village, and various attractions at different spots in the city. Since Naumburg is located in the northernmost wine-growing region in Germany, several wine festivals are celebrated in the city. These include the Naumburg Wine Week (with wine fair and young wine tasting), the Saale Wine Mile, or the Wine and Courtyard Festival Winzerhof Gussek.

Along the Two Rivers

Along the Saale, you can stroll, hike, or cycle to your heart's content towards Schulpforta or Bad Kösen. By bike, you can also enjoy the beautiful Saale or Unstrut Cycle Path. Or you can hop on a canoe and explore the region on the water. At Blütengrund, some canoes are available, and there are guided boat tours on the Saale and Unstrut with the Naumburg Canoe Station. Another destination for families is the town of Mücheln, where you can marvel at the world-famous fossils of the Geisel Valley. There are some interesting and typical dishes that you will find on the menus. Particularly popular is the Loose Sausage, also known as Dead Grandma. It is a blood sausage removed from its casing and fried with chopped onions. An Altmark Wedding Soup is a clear chicken broth served with a filling of meatballs, asparagus, and royale. But the locals are quite the sweet tooths - in the truest sense of the word. The Leckermäulchen are a branded milk curd from Weißenfels. Wine lovers are recommended to visit the Vinothek Schulpforte in the gatehouse of the Landesschule Pforta. Besides wine, they also offer wine jelly, honey, apple juice, and grape seed oil from the region.
