Family vacation in the Emsland with dog.

The house is very neat and clean.
Everything that was described was available.
We went on trips to the Netherlands, rode bikes with the children, or went to the swimming pool. The canal invites you to go for a walk or bike ride. A few meters away, there is a lock with a small cafe.
The surroundings are rather quiet, we didn't notice any noise.
In the neighboring town, there are two bakeries and shopping opportunities. The beds were comfortable, but we only used 2 rooms to sleep. The children's room was a paradise for our kids. Great toys! There was also a small play area on the ground floor, which was frequently used.
In the bathroom, there were plenty of towels (which we could freely use).
The large bathtub was tested by the children. It was great that toys were also available.
The only drawback would be the shower. This is great, but water is leaking under the door.
The kitchen is equipped with everything needed for cooking. A large gas stove, an oven, and a dishwasher are available.
A washing machine, a dryer, as well as a refrigerator and a freezer are located in the adjacent room. There is also a pantry with supplies that guests can use or contribute to. Absolutely positive!
The living room is well equipped. A comfortable sofa invites you to watch TV and read. A large table is also placed here, perfect for playing games. The garden is great. We could watch the children play under the covered terrace. Next to a swing, a slide, and a sandbox (where the sand might need replacing), there was a ground trampoline and soccer goals. There was a bed with many strawberries and some fruit trees. Mr. Schütte was there for us in case of problems and absolutely competent.
An absolute paradise for everyone.

Relaxed spring holiday in Emsland

Our family (2 adults, 2 children) was guests in the Paradise Emsland during the last week of March.
The house offers plenty of space, so even in bad weather (we had a lot of rain) you can easily keep yourself entertained, leave your board games at the large dining table, and also find enough opportunities to retreat. It is quiet and you won't notice anything from the neighbors.
For our 7-year-old, there were also nice toys like the train set, Kapla building blocks, and the play grocery store, and the soccer goals in the garden were highly coveted by both boys when the weather was dry.
For those who cook themselves, there is a large gas stove and an electric oven, as well as plenty of space to cook even with several people. There are a variety of spices, oil, vinegar, etc., so you don't have to carry everything from home.
We found the idea of a pantry with durable basic food items, which can be used when needed, and in return, you can put something else durable in it later, essentially replenishing, a good one.
On one of the dry days, we visited Schloss Dankern amusement park, which is only a 15-minute drive from the vacation home. In the preseason, it was not crowded yet, so we could try out all the rides. Only for the roller coaster, which the children wanted to try out, we had to wait about 25 minutes.
At this time of the year, some leisure activities and cafes are still closed for winter, so you should inquire about their opening hours in advance.
The area is great for cycling. By car, you can take some nice walks/tours within a half-hour radius - lakes, biotopes, moors, heath, forests. Grocery shopping is also easy by car. If you want to go shopping, you will find plenty of nice pedestrian areas, even in the Netherlands, with everything your heart desires.
We happily recommend the vacation home!
