Description
Our holiday home was classified with three stars by the DTV (DEUTSCHER TOURISTENVERBAND) in April 2014. It is situated on a small lake with a covered terrace directly adjacent. Two sun loungers with a sun roof are available, as well as a large parasol for outdoor enjoyment. Meanwhile, a jetty has been built directly on the lakeshore for our holiday guests. So you can observe a natural spectacle at close range. Kingfishers, water fowl, nutrias, herons, frogs and much more round off the nature experience. The jetty is especially suitable for relaxing and sunbathing!
The cottage is equipped with all the facilities you would expect. A DVD player with a small home cinema system provides good sound.
Kitchen: ceramic hob, oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, bread maker and all utensils for cooking.
In addition to a double bed in the first bedroom, there is another BOX SPRING BED in the second bedroom. Here you will also find the pull-out sofa bed for two more people. The five sleeping possibilities are thus divided into two separate bedrooms. Ideal also for disabled people, everything is at ground level and the shower is designed barrier-free and offers a shower chair, so that even physically impaired guests have no problems. The bathroom (hairdryer available!!), as well as the living room are equipped with underfloor heating! In the living room, which has roof height, there is also a stove for cosiness in the cold months, which can be used in addition to the heating system

In the garden house, in addition to three free bicycles (two 28 inch bikes, 1 youth bike 26 inch), further bikes can be stored locked away.
The Emsland is ideal for cycling tours. A large number of further sights can also be reached easily by car
easily reached by car - the MEYER WERFT shipyard in Papenburg. You will find plenty of information about tours in the holiday home.
Internet access (WLAN) is available at a charge (€ 1.50 per day) if you wish!
By the way, our house is now equipped with a completely new bed system and with a new set of seats!!!

Location and surroundings of object
Our holiday home is located in the "EMSPARK - AUENWALD".
A recreational area where tranquillity is a priority. Our terrace is located directly on the shore of a lake.
Also on the area, only a few metres away from the house, is another small lake with a bathing beach, which is especially interesting for children. This idyllically situated lake invites you to stay for picnics and barbecues, because there is a garden house with a covered terrace.
Of course, you can also barbecue on our covered terrace. Just as you like.
As you can see, nothing stands in the way of your leisure activities
THE LARGEST MAN-MADE LAKE IN EUROPE IS LOCATED IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF GEESTE. The lake has a beach of approx. 1 km length and a children's playground, which you will also find on the grounds of our holiday home.
At the so-called SPEICHERBECKEN you can swim, sail, surf and dive, or learn to do so. You can reach this lake on foot in approx. 300 m. There you will also find
the restaurant "Deichkrone" with good cuisine and beer garden terrace directly at the lake. A golf course is in the immediate vicinity, as is an indoor swimming pool.
The nearest shopping facilities are 2 km away in the district of Dalum (Lidl, Aldi, Nettomarkt, Combi, Postenbörse, drugstore etc.).

IMPORTANT NOTE: from 1 November we will be offering a 2nd holiday home (newly built) for rent.
"Haus Gerle, Am See 79" will keep our standard: clean, cosy and comfortable!!!
This house is 20 sqm bigger, will cost 10,00 € per day more and offers accommodation for 1 -6 persons.

| The daily rent of 65,00 € refers to 2 persons (minimum rental period 3 days!) Each additional person 15,00 € per day Due to the high demand during the holiday season, our house is only rented out for 1 week or more during the main season (holidays in all federal states). In the interest of our long-term tenants, there is no weekend booking during the main season. We ask for your understanding! During Christmas and New Year's Eve, a minimum stay of 5 days is required. CHILDREN up to four years stay free of charge! Pets, who are welcome, are charged with 7,00 Euro per day All energy costs are included in the rental price: Electricity, water, gas. Arrival day from 14:00 h / Departure day until 11:00 h (These specifications are variable by arrangement) Arrival and departure day are calculated together as 1 day. If we are to provide bed linen (6,00 €) and a towel set consisting of 2 towels + 1 bath towel (5,00 €), 11,00 € per person will be charged once for the stay. Please inform us if you wish this. If we are not informed about this, we assume that you bring your own bed linen and towels. For longer stays, our washing machine and dryer are available. The "Haus Suzan" is only available for rent from 7 days.
On the very popular dates, such as Christmas, Easter, Ascension Day and Whitsun, a stay of 7 days is payable, even if the stay is chosen to be shorter.
We are also happy to rent out our holiday home for professionals and fitters.
Long-term rentals are possible. Price by arrangement.
CURRENT NEWS: Due to the exploding energy costs, we unfortunately see ourselves forced to charge a consumption cost allocation of € 6.00 on the rental price with immediate effect. This is the only way we will be able to maintain our basic price and react flexibly to the energy crisis.
We are referring to the recommendations of the "Ferienhaus-Verband" and have not decided on the basis of our "gut feeling". We ask for your understanding, as sorry as we are!!! As soon as the situation eases, we will immediately reduce the surcharge accordingly.
This is a matter of course for us!

Short vacation
We were here for a short vacation, very quiet location and a very nice apartment.
The apartment is very suitable for people with disabilities and our dog has a lot of opportunities for exercise on site.
We will definitely come back.

Beautiful cycling holiday
In the house, everything is available for a nice vacation. We have been out cycling every day from the house and were happy when we returned and could put our feet up, mostly on the terrace.

We were very satisfied. The house is very nice and the location is great with a view of the lake. There is nothing to complain about regarding the equipment. Everything is available in the kitchen. The beds are very good and the entire furnishings leave nothing to be desired. Even a mobile dog fence was provided for us. The location of the house is optimal for dog owners; you can go directly from the house past the water into the fields. The contact with Suzan was very good. She is a very friendly landlord and helps with questions immediately. We felt comfortable for the 5 days and will definitely come back.

Cleanliness out of place
The location of the holiday home is optimal and is situated in a quiet holiday area not far from the reservoir, which can be reached in a few minutes on foot.
The holiday home itself has everything that is needed for a stay, but unfortunately lacks the initial supplies for a carefree start to the holiday. Our main criticism, however, concerns the cleanliness of the holiday property: The lawn in the outdoor area has not been mowed for months, and the doormats as well as the blinds were completely dirty upon arrival. The walls in all rooms are worn out and dirty. The glass doors of the spacious walk-in shower are extremely calcified and affected by mold in the lower area, and the sanitary facilities, especially the toilet, could use a thorough cleaning. The doors were covered in fingerprints, and spider webs were hanging from the room ceilings, including next to the cabinets in the living area. A look inside the oven didn't improve the situation, as you really wouldn't want to prepare food in there. Even the dishes that hadn't been used in a while were dirty/dusty, as were the drawers inside. In the freezer, there was still bread, probably left by vacationers from days gone by, and a laundry basket full of dirty clothes was in the utility room.
All in all, most of the shortcomings could be quickly eliminated with cleaning and mowing work.
We are confident that with the proper care of the holiday home, a maximum star rating would be possible, sorry, but unfortunately not this time ☹️.

Hallo A. aus Fürstenwalde, ich werde mich zu Ihrem unfairen "Verriss" nicht viel äußern. Warum? Ich habe es nicht nötig...mein Haus ist stets sehr gut ausgebucht und viele Stammgäste bestätigen den netten und herzlichen Service. Statt mit der Lupe durch das Haus zu laufen, hätten Sie vielleicht lieber mal Zeit investieren sollen, was mein Haus an Idylle und Komfort zu bieten hat. Erbsenzähler gibt es immer wieder und diese möchten sich bitte in Ihrem Eigenheim (falls vorhanden?) um Kalk und "teilweise" Spinnengewebe sorgen. Mein Haus ist sauber und hygienisch, doch lass ich nicht nach jedem Besuch renovieren!
Mein Tipp für Sie: weitersuchen... für dieses Preis/Leistungsverhältnis fällt mir für Sie noch die Jugendherberge in Lingen ein. Schade, dass Sie nicht den Mut hatten, mir das alles persönlich mitzuteilen. So reißen Sie sehr gerne meinen Bewertungsschnitt runter. Ihren Kommentar könnte ich löschen lassen, aber nein: so wissen meine nächsten Anfrager, dass alle Meinungen toleriert werden und nichts gefälscht ist. Wer schlau ist, liest unsere jahrelange Chronik und begreift sehr schnell, dass Sie Familie Sch. die absolute Ausnahme sind! Sie haben noch nicht einmal den Mumm, Ihren Namen zu nennen "Urauber A." !!
