My wife, myself, and our dog felt comfortable again at Auenpark. We consciously chose the landlords Mr. Gerle and Mrs. Savas again because we were impressed by Mr. Gerle's willingness to do everything possible for his guests when we stayed at Ferienhaus Gerle last year. This was the case again this year. When minor issues were pointed out, Mr. Gerle is committed to finding a solution to quickly eliminate them. The holiday apartment is well equipped, apart from a few minor things (which will certainly be fixed when Mr. Gerle reads this ;-) ). My wife thinks that drying hair with the vibrating, older model was strenuous and very loud. The mechanism for toasting bread on the toaster is no longer functional. The door leaf between the living room and the hallway hits the frame and therefore cannot be closed. Like I said, these are minor things! ! ! We were very satisfied again, even though the weather at the scenic storage reservoir did not invite swimming. It was time to go fishing at the canal in Osterbrock (10 min by car from the vacation home). Fishing permits for the canal and Ems are available for 10€/week at the Raiffeisenmarkt in Dalem (5km from the vacation home), where shopping possibilities such as Aldi/Netto/Lidl & Getränkemarkt-Hoffmann can also be found. A recommended fishing store, Fishing Attack Emsland, where fishing licenses are likely available, is located in Bawinkel. (15 minutes by car from the holiday apartment)
We used the vacation to explore the nearby and wider area by bike and were able to relax very well. The reservoir is about 600 m from the holiday park and easily accessible on foot. There is also a recommended restaurant, the Deichkrone, with a view over the reservoir.

Relaxing vacation

Restful vacation

After a very friendly welcome with a tour of the wonderfully located house, we immediately felt very comfortable. The house lacked nothing. In this holiday home of yours, we felt very comfortable right away and were able to unwind from everyday life immediately.
The dock that belongs to the house is beautifully built and was used frequently by us. You can also enjoy the evening sun very well on the terrace.
Everything you need is available, including plenty of porcelain, cutlery, and glasses.
Many thanks to your cleaning lady who keeps everything very clean.
The surrounding area invites you to long walks, bike tours, and strolling in pretty cities like Lingen, Meppen, and Papenburg.
Very close to the large Geester Speichersee. Beautifully landscaped with a long beach, bike and hiking trails all around, and a very good restaurant. Pure beach feeling!

My partner and I spent the Whitsun week in this lovely holiday home and felt very comfortable. The friendly contact in advance with the landlord, as well as the uncomplicated handover of keys on arrival and departure were very pleasant. The cottage is quietly situated with a nice terrace and a footbridge at the wetland biotope, where we liked to sit down and watch the animals. We liked it very much.

We found the house clean when we arrived. It is comfortably furnished and has very good equipment, great kitchen facilities, wifi. We wanted for nothing. This was definitely not the last time we stayed here.

Are you looking for holiday home owners who have a heart of gold and a lot of feeling for the wishes of their holiday guests? Then Haus Suzan in Geeste is the right place for you. You won't miss anything there. My great love and I met for the first time in this beautiful and cosy holiday home. For our first meeting, I had booked this cute little house on the beautiful lake with its own little jetty. I had asked Suzan and Jürgen to come to the cottage a day earlier because I wanted to prepare a few things for the first meeting. With a lot of kind words and great understanding for "my butterflies in my stomach" Susan and Jürgen were willing to let me into the house earlier. I was very happy about that. Jürgen and Susan had even provided dried rose petals and a bottle of red wine. They are so warm-hearted and in the house you immediately feel at home and there is nothing missing. During the 14 days of our stay, a pair of swans joined us on the lake. We named the two lovers Bonnie & Clyde. The two of them have settled down there and everyone who rents the Suzan house will have the pleasure of meeting Bonnie & Clyde. If I could give 100 stars, I would give 100 stars. Highly, highly recommended for everyone. In the morning you are woken up not by the noise of cars but by birdsong, and my first walk in the morning was to the beautiful terrace to see what Bonnie & Clyde were doing.❤

Traumurlaub

Family "Maulwurf" (NL) "Super accommodation in the Emsland region near the Dutch border!"

Spring Break 2016.
Never knew that less than 60 minutes by car from our Dutch hometown, there is such a great opportunity to relax. Near the village of Geeste, close to the charming shopping towns of Meppen, Lingen, and Nordhorn, lies the peaceful bungalow park Auenwald with the luxurious and fully equipped holiday apartment of the 'very nice!' and hospitable landlords Suzan and Jurgen. After our arrival, 'der Jurgen' came by with his scooter later in the day to give us the Wi-Fi code. My wife and I enjoyed ourselves in the sunny backyard overlooking the breeding swan couple and the beavers in the adjacent pond. Opposite the park is the artificially constructed ​​Speichersee with a designated bathing beach, diving school, and dining options. Lidl, Aldi, and restaurants are just a few kilometers away. We had a fantastic time during our midweek stay! Highly recommended! Great destination for a weekend getaway.

A very relaxing holiday for two.

Hello,

I am giving this house and the vacation a 5 out of 5 stars. The house already made a very well-maintained impression from the outside upon arrival. The interior of the house could only confirm this impression. Very clean and well-equipped (e.g. sufficient dishes and cutlery, space, very cozy furniture, seating in the garden, etc.).

The house is located in a manageable new residential area with vacation homes. When sitting in the garden, you really hear nothing but nature. It's perfect for relaxing. It's about a 5-minute walk from the house to the lake and about a 5-minute drive to the nearest village (Dalum), where you can find all the supermarkets there are.

It was 5 really beautiful and peaceful days. Thank you!

Hello, I am Leica, the dog in the family. This week we felt very comfortable, the house is exactly as shown in the photos, so top behind the house were swans and ducks, which I found great. I had a lot of fun with my family in the house and in the fields. I wouldn't mind if my people would go on vacation with me there again.
