From July 15th to July 22nd, we, as a grandparent couple with 4 boys between the ages of 8 and 10, spent a wonderful vacation week at Birkenhof. We were expecting a huge, charming vacation apartment in the hallway of an old farmhouse, which left nothing to be desired. We immediately felt warmly welcomed, which doesn't happen often with a big group of children. The cake that was presented to us as a welcome gift was devoured with enthusiasm, and off we went into a great week of swimming in the nearby lake, romping and playing on the farm, and exploring the surrounding area, which had a lot to offer. Our two eldest boys were particularly excited when they were allowed to take care of and ride the horses with Annelin. She has a wonderful way of dealing with children, for which we would like to thank her once again. All the boys were thrilled with their week of vacation and definitely want to return to Birkenhof. Dear Stock family, thank you very much to all of you - we really enjoyed it!!!!

The Traberhof is located in the Aukrug Nature Park and offers everything that the stressed city dweller needs: Pure nature, fresh air, family connection, horses, long walks or even sulky rides. The flat is bright and friendly, the beds are comfortable, the linen is fresh and of good quality. You feel at home right from the start. The kitchen is functionally furnished, cooker, refrigerator and coffee machine - everything is in order. Everything is very clean, carpets freshly shampooed, cupboards wiped out, dishes clean and not tarnished. Fresh bread rolls are delivered in the morning on request. The owner's door is always open, and it's not unusual to get an invitation for coffee. You can watch the hustle and bustle of horse care, training and sulky riding from a distance, or you can help out yourself and even ride with the trainer in a two-seater through the beautiful countryside. A holiday home to feel good in. Even a weekend feels like a holiday. We would love to come back any time.
