It has 2 bedrooms for 4 persons, living room with integrated kitchen and covered terrace with sea view. The house is situated on a dune, about 100 m from the beach (without street in between). In the season you will find in the immediate vicinity the baker, restaurants etc.

Wonderful Gite

Beautiful view, quiet, everything necessary is available, very nice contact with the landlord, who responds promptly and assists further, beach with lifeguard in season, nice restaurants, a great place to relax. We spent a wonderful time here with 2 adults and 2 children.

Location superb, view top

but the property very neglected, even the entrance doesn't make you want more.
It smelled so musty, not nice.
Dishes partly dirty.
Never for 4 people, it was already very tight for us as a couple with a dog.
Armchairs in the mini seating area not very comfortable.
After the reviews, which were good, we were very disappointed.
Also left earlier.
Price-performance is not given, price much too high.

Holiday home Moana 12

We spent a wonderful week in your holiday home Moana 12. We felt very comfortable
it is very comfortably furnished and lacked nothing. The breakfast and
Dinner at sunset on the terrace with sea view was unique. The house and the surrounding area are tiptop!
We can only recommend your house.

We spent 2 wonderful weeks in the holiday home by the sea and can only agree with the previous reviews. Great location with a beautiful view of the Atlantic and a nice contact with the landlords!

Sound of the sea

Since we had such a good time here last summer, we came back in July/August 2021 and again felt very, very comfortable and familiar to boot!
As the weather was not quite as kind this year, we spent more time indoors, which went very well despite the not too abundant space
A recommendation for anyone who wants to have the sea in view and in their ears the whole holiday!

Holiday with the sound of the sea

We spent two wonderful weeks in the little house in Amélie as a family of four
We also felt very well looked after by the friendly landlords beforehand, as for a long time we were not sure whether we would be able to go on holiday due to Corona!
We were all the happier when we knew that it would work out!
The house is small, the furnishings correspond to the pictures and there is everything you need. In bad weather it could be a bit cramped inside for four people, but we spent almost all the time we were "at home" in the garden and on the terrace
The view of the sea is unbelievably beautiful and from the upstairs bedroom you can see it from the first glance in the morning! The sea was thus within sight and sound the entire holiday, we could enjoy the sunset over the Atlantic every evening!
The small village of Amélie offers a small shop, restaurants, a surf school and a bicycle rental - we rented bikes for the duration of our holiday and usually rode them 2 km to the beach at the Pointe de la Négade, which we particularly liked.
The area also invites you to go on bike tours to the neighbouring villages or to the Gironde! The beautiful centre of Soulac is also easily accessible by bike
We really enjoyed our time in the cottage by the sea and would have liked to stay another week.

The calmness on the Atlantic

In addition to the peace and quiet that one can enjoy in this small place on the Atlantic coast, the very friendly and personal support from the landlord in advance of the stay there is worth mentioning. An example of this is that the landlord kept us informed about the possible pollution of the beach caused by the stranded oil tanker.

We spent a very nice and quiet time there. Outside of the season, the small town of Amelie is very sleepy, but there is a small shop just a 2-minute walk away that has everything you need for everyday life, including fresh baguettes and croissants, of course. Those who want to see/experience more than just walks on the beach can drive to nearby Soulac or to Le Verdon. Our trips along the Gironde/Garonne in the nearby Medoc area or to Cap Ferret were very nice. The latter is a must for oyster fans, and the fishing village of L'Herbe, which belongs to Cap Ferret, is worth the slightly longer drive.

Our conclusion: Very nice, helpful landlords, a beautiful, well-equipped accommodation, a peaceful, relaxing place, and the perfect place for a relaxing holiday for two.

Feel good with a sea view

The accommodation fully met our expectations. The furnishings offered everything to make yourself comfortable without worries and to simply enjoy your holiday. We found the view from the upstairs bedroom or in the garden at sunset particularly charming. We liked the village of Amelie very much, as the small offshoot of Soulac sur Mer, away from the hustle and bustle, offered a lot of peace and quiet on the one hand, but on the other hand also everything you could wish for on holiday: a small corner shop, restaurant, bars, beautiful beaches, guarded or unguarded, a small promenade. The old buildings in the immediate vicinity provided a special flair. All in all, for us a place that definitely invites us to come back.
