Like God in Soulac

Dreamlike holiday in this top domicile. 10 minutes by bike to the centre of the village/beach. Very quiet villa area, shady spots in the large garden.very well equipped kitchen to process the fresh things from the market hall (large fish department). Good beds without back problems, gauze in front of the windows, so windows open and mosquito free!!! Very nice every end of May Soulac 1900, 3 days like at the turn of the century. Cabaret and music in every alley. Oldtimer parade, concerts in the evenings. Contact person for the villa in the neighbourhood. Extremely helpful, has good tips.great cycle path system in three cardinal directions. We will be back.

The calmness on the Atlantic

In addition to the peace and quiet that one can enjoy in this small place on the Atlantic coast, the very friendly and personal support from the landlord in advance of the stay there is worth mentioning. An example of this is that the landlord kept us informed about the possible pollution of the beach caused by the stranded oil tanker.

We spent a very nice and quiet time there. Outside of the season, the small town of Amelie is very sleepy, but there is a small shop just a 2-minute walk away that has everything you need for everyday life, including fresh baguettes and croissants, of course. Those who want to see/experience more than just walks on the beach can drive to nearby Soulac or to Le Verdon. Our trips along the Gironde/Garonne in the nearby Medoc area or to Cap Ferret were very nice. The latter is a must for oyster fans, and the fishing village of L'Herbe, which belongs to Cap Ferret, is worth the slightly longer drive.

Our conclusion: Very nice, helpful landlords, a beautiful, well-equipped accommodation, a peaceful, relaxing place, and the perfect place for a relaxing holiday for two.

A very beautifully located house, quiet, with a large property, and yet close to the beach and the village. Very good equipment, a house suitable for taking a vacation and really getting away from everyday life, whether you're at the beach, cycling, or just chilling at and inside the house. Attentive landlords and a "supporter" on site.
