Location and surroundings of object
The tranquil coastal village of Sehlendorf and its better-known neighbour, the former fishing village of Hohwacht, have remained beautiful oases of tranquillity to this day. As a Baltic Sea spa and with the fine wide and light sandy beach in Sehlendorf, the villages offer a successful balance of active holidays and relaxation. The lakeside climate and natural forests, three nature reserves around the Großer and Kleiner Binnensee lakes and the unique, wooded cliffs characterise the surroundings. In short, anyone looking for relaxation will find it here. The proximity to the picturesque Holstein Switzerland with its many lakes and hiking trails is another plus for this unspoilt region. The well-known Golf & Country Club Hohwachter Bucht also offers ambitious golfers everything their hearts desire. The nearby surroundings with their old manor houses and estates invite you to go on discovery tours and excursions. Culinary delights are on offer here, for example at Gut Panker or nearby Hessenstein, as well as in many other small restaurants and cafés.
The small climatic health resort of Lütjenbg. is only 6 km away and invites you to stroll through the town. Shops & the colourful weekly market (every Wed. + Sat.) - supermarkets also open on Sundays in summer!
The cycling and hiking paths between the Binnensee and the Baltic Sea and the fine sandy beach in Sehlendorf are worth a holiday in themselves.

Cancellation terms:
If the tenant terminates the contract prematurely, a processing fee of €60 is payable. If the termination is made without naming a subtenant who meets the same contract conditions, the following costs must be paid as compensation: Termination before tenancy begins: - Up to 90 days before the start of the rental period: 20% of the rental price - Up to 60 days before the start of the rental period: 40% of the rental price - Up to 40 days before the start of the rental period: 60% of the rental price - Up to 20 days before the start of the rental period: 80% of the rental price - Less than 20 days before the start of the rental period: 90% of the rental price The landlord will simultaneously attempt to find a subtenant as well. The cancellation must be made in writing; the time the landlord receives the notice of termination is decisive. If the tenant breaks off their stay prematurely, the entire rental price is due. Travel cancellation insurance is not included in the contract. Note: For larger amounts, insurance specifically for groups may be advisable. In the event of a prohibition on accommodation (due to, for example, the COVID-19 pandemic) in the area of the holiday home, cancellation is free of charge up to the day of arrival – payments will be refunded without fees within 1 week after the departure day of the booking, or can be rebooked at no additional cost. Proof of vaccination, contact bans, testing requirements, etc., fall within the risk sphere of the tenants.

We had a great time
A holiday home in which it was very difficult for us to end our stay. There was nothing missing here, it was very clean, spacious and lovingly furnished. I can recommend it with a clear conscience. Thank you very much for a wonderful time.

Great house
We were in the beach house in September 2017 with 8 people and 1 dog. It was a very relaxing vacation. We lacked nothing in the house. Everything was wonderful. Very nice landlord, great house and you can really recommend it.

Super nice vacation
We (10 people and 5 dogs) spent a wonderful vacation at the Strandhus. Nothing was missing. The house is just great. It was great that the property was fenced. We were able to let our dogs run. The rooms and the equipment were perfect. The sea is easily accessible on foot. You could sit and barbecue beautifully on the terrace. In short, it was a wonderful vacation at the Strandhus. We all agree: we'll be back!!!!
