Furthermore, there is a boat of one's own that may be used. If that's not enough, you can hire a suitable boat from the boat hire shop on the beach. You can buy fishing licences at the nearby campsite and enjoy relaxed fishing on Lake Schwieloch.
There is also a Spanish tappa bar on the beach - holiday feeling guaranteed.

The surroundings also invite excursions and walks, so there was something for everyone.
I was there with my four nephews, and for us, it was the ideal mix of relaxation and adventure. The boys had plenty of space and made use of the opportunities, while we adults could fully enjoy the peace and fresh air.
Thank you very much for the warm care and uncomplicated communication. We felt completely comfortable and would love to come back! And it is not far from Berlin.

Idyllic wooden house with lake access – perfect for relaxing
We spent a weekend in this charming old wooden house in the Spreewald. The house is located very quietly and idyllically in the middle of a pine forest, just a few steps from Schwielochsee – with direct access to the beach path.
The house itself is clean and functionally furnished, with a certain retro charm. Everything you need is available – from kitchen appliances to dishes to cushions for lounge chairs, which are neatly stored in the associated shed along with the grill.
We also really liked the laundry service, as we didn't want to worry about the bed linens and towels.
We (five people) felt comfortable from the very beginning. We particularly enjoyed the shared meals on the small terrace (perfect spot also for the sundowner) in front of the house and of course the morning swim in the lake – a real highlight and guarantee for vacation mood! The scent of the pines, the light in the trees, and the proximity to the Spanish beach bar almost evoke a Mediterranean feeling.
Communication with the landlord was uncomplicated and very friendly.
We would love to come back! !

The Schwielochsee is worth a trip.
A beautiful little wooden house with a certain charm in a private forest property. Wonderful peace and a great view through the pine forest to the lake. When you stand on the terrace early in the morning, you only hear the chirping of the birds. Simply wonderful.
Unfortunately, the house is aging, and some renovations should be carried out. For example, the door frame in the bathroom could use a fresh coat of paint, as the color is peeling in many places. Here, there is also a bit of a lack of attention to detail, which is reflected, for example, in the colorful arrangement of the furniture.
The grill mentioned in the house description was not available. When we asked the manager, we received the response that she should not provide it because it was defective.
Okay, why is it still offered/mentioned in the description?
We then bought a grill ourselves in the next larger town. We only received the key for the garden shed upon request as well. That was great, so we didn’t have to store our bikes in the house for a second night. In the photos, you can see two garden loungers. We then found these in the garden shed. Anyone who wants can dig these loungers out from under the scrap and old paper, clean them up, and if they are intact, then use them. However, we chose not to.
The photos also show two wooden folding chairs. We only found one of them.
Where is the second?
We also found the wall mount for the hairdryer in the bathroom interesting or funny. Three screws were simply screwed into the wall, the hairdryer is hung up, and that's it.
The height adjustment for the showerhead in the bathroom was broken. A zip tie was simply used to keep the showerhead at the desired height. Unfortunately, the showerhead can still twist to the side when you touch the water hose with your body.

Wir bedauern es jedoch aufrichtig, dass Ihr Aufenthalt durch die genannten Mängel getrübt wurde. Ihre Anmerkungen sind für uns sehr wertvoll und wir nehmen jede einzelne davon ernst, um uns kontinuierlich zu verbessern.
Bezüglich Ihrer Kritikpunkte möchten wir Ihnen mitteilen, dass wir bereits erste Schritte unternommen haben:
Die abblätternde Farbe im Badezimmer ist notiert und wird bei den nächsten Renovierungsarbeiten Priorität haben.
Ihre Anmerkung zur Möblierung nehmen wir zur Kenntnis und werden bei zukünftigen Anpassungen eine harmonischere Gestaltung in Betracht ziehen.
Die Angelegenheit mit dem Grill bedauern wir sehr. Es handelte sich hierbei um ein Kommunikationsproblem, das nicht hätte passieren dürfen. Wir haben bereits einen neuen Grill für zukünftige Gäste angeschafft.
Die späte Schlüsselübergabe für den Holzschuppen tut uns leid. Wir werden unsere Abläufe optimieren, um sicherzustellen, dass alle notwendigen Schlüssel bei der Ankunft problemlos verfügbar sind.
Bezüglich der Gartenliegen möchten wir uns für die Unannehmlichkeiten entschuldigen. Leider wurde eine der Liegen gestohlen. Wir haben jedoch bereits eine neue Gartenliege besorgt und der Schuppen entrümpelt. Ebenso wurden im Bad alle aufgeführten Mängel beseitigt.
Bitte berücksichtigen Sie, dass Sie in diesem Jahr unsere ersten Gäste waren und wir in der Zeit vor Ihrer Ankunft intensiv damit beschäftigt waren, das Grundstück nach den notwendigen Baumfällarbeiten aufgrund von Trockenheit und Borkenkäfer wieder in Ordnung zu bringen. Dies hat uns leider zusätzlich beansprucht.
Wir verstehen, dass diese Mängel Ihren Aufenthalt beeinträchtigt haben und bedauern dies nochmals ausdrücklich. Ihr Feedback hilft uns enorm dabei, die Qualität unseres Angebots zu sichern und zu verbessern, gerade auch im Hinblick auf die Vorbereitung für zukünftige Gäste.
Wir hoffen sehr, dass Sie die positiven Aspekte Ihres Aufenthalts dennoch in Erinnerung behalten und uns in Zukunft vielleicht noch einmal die Gelegenheit geben, Sie von unseren Verbesserungen zu überzeugen.

In the middle of the forest and directly at the lake
We had a very nice and relaxing holiday here with two small children. Highly recommended accommodation! You have peace and privacy on the large wooded property. The old wooden house is very light-hearted, but it is simply stylish and comfortably furnished. The accommodation was clean when we arrived and everything we needed was there. The lake with its bathing beach, kiosk and playground is also less than a minute's walk away through its own gate on the property. The nearest supermarket and bakery is 2 km away. The neighbours were also friendly.
For both a family holiday and a romantic weekend, I would love to come back again.

Those who seek peace are in the right place here.
The fantastic property and the hidden wooden house in the middle have their charm, and those seeking peace and relaxation are in the right place here. However, we were unlucky: No cleaning was done inside beforehand, it was very dirty (floors, bathroom/shower, mattresses and toppers, real boards in the kitchen dirty...), with cobwebs everywhere and lacking some basic supplies - at least for the first few days - (toilet paper, soap, dish towel...). There was nothing to see and find. Existing bed linen (thankfully they had announced to bring our own) was crumpled up and hidden in the wardrobe, so the suitcases could not be unpacked. The bed upstairs was broken (leg broken off) and the announced firewood was also not available. So, upon arrival, the only option was to immediately reach for the phone to consult the landlady (unfortunately not on-site). Thank God, she took care of it right away, so that at least the bed and wood problem could be solved after 2 days. Our conclusion: With a little more passion and attention to detail, and the right contacts on site, the wooden house could be a charming old gem, and the entire, fantastically located property has tremendous potential. Under different circumstances, we would love to vacation there again.
