Our villa is located on the edge of the small village Trincheri (su dynamic Google Map). The large natural garden full of quiet places to enjoy, including under the mulberry tree next to the barbecue area with the large table.
Redesigned iron windows, doors and stairs combine harmoniously with the traditional ambience. Impressive views from panoramic windows of the kitchen and the roof terrace. The living quarters are on the 1st floor and amount incl. Roof terrace about 81 sqm.

Location and surroundings of object
The enchanting nature begins right outside the house – ideal for hikers and cycling tours. The small village of Trincheri lies 4 km above Dolcedo. This is the main town in the scenic and architectural gem – the Prino Valley, a center of olive cultivation. Here you will find everything for daily needs and typical restaurants.
A bus runs twice from Bellissimi to Imperia. From there it is 20 km to San Remo, 50 km to Monaco, 80 km to Nice, 30 km to Alassio, 100 km to Genoa. The region is also ideally suited for mountain bikers, experienced cyclists, and motorcyclists.
BEACH LIFE:
- SAN LORENZO (10 km) is a seaside resort with Italian charm – always awarded the Blue Flag for excellent water quality. There you will find public and managed sand and rocky beaches. Everywhere there is delicious fish, wine, and cafés – and the best ice cream far and wide. Parking in town and with a parking ticket at the disused train station. - From here, a new CYCLE PATH runs along the sea over the old railway line to San Remo and, more recently, via Imperia to Diano-Marina.
- IMPERIA - Porto Maurizio (11 km) offers, next to the mouth of the Prino, a large free parking lot and a small restaurant with a beautiful atmosphere by the sea. Heading towards Porto Maurizio, many small beaches and restaurants line the path along the sea. A promenade leads from the small fishing harbor to the yacht harbor of Porto Maurizio with the large bathing bay 'GOLDSTRAND'.
- Further beaches to the east also in Imperia-Oneglia, to the west San Stefano or Riva Ligure.

Ligurian OLIVE OIL and various WINES can be found in a box in the kitchen. The oil comes from our olive farmer – she is also responsible for the final cleaning. There are FLY SCREENS on the important windows. For the transitional season, there is a wood stove in the living room. In addition, there are electric mobile radiant heaters and a fan heater for the bathroom.

The gentle and the rough
What distinguishes Valprino overall - the combination of the gentle Mediterranean and the ruggedness of the Maritime Alps - can be experienced particularly intensively at CASA LIMONE. We wake up with a view through a beautiful round arch window overlooking the sea. Every morning, water and sky offer a new composition of blues, reds, and silvers, filling us with curiosity and anticipation for the day ahead.
Then we have a choice: breakfast on the sunny rooftop terrace in the early morning - again with a sea view - or in the winter garden, which connects to the kitchen and offers a breathtaking mountain panorama. Also attractive is the short half-hour walk through olive groves to the center of Dolcedo to enjoy a typical Italian breakfast at TUNU with brioche and cappuccino and then to take a piece of the Ligurian specialty torta verde as a snack at ALIMENTARI DA GIANNA a few houses further.
Behind the house, the old chapel of Trincheri lies enchantingly. A very spiritual place, like many in the Prino Valley. Past the chapel, you can hike to Monte Faudo. In the other direction, the charming Bellissimi can be reached comfortably in about a quarter of an hour. From here, especially in the evening, you have a romantic view of Porto Maurizio and the Mediterranean Sea.
The lovingly and tastefully furnished house is ideal for a family of four without reservation. The kitchen is excellently equipped, even for demanding cooks. Fresh fish, good meat, fruits, and vegetables in a wide selection can be found at markets and specialty stores, as well as the supermarkets in Imperia. Mediterranean herbs for cooking can be found along the way.
Smaller olive oil producers are happy to provide insights into their operations and samples of their production. Direct sales of regional products are common, even in Trincheri itself. The oil and other olive specialties from Franca, the house's good fairy, are excellent.

Dreamlike view and pure nature
We had a wonderful two weeks at Casa Limone with our two children (3 and 6). We have been on vacation in Liguria for many years, so we can say that we have found a special gem here.
The holiday home impresses above all with its special charm, top facilities, the garden characterized by olive trees and cozy spots, and a roof terrace with a magnificent view. You are perched high up in the mountains and can see the sea glimmering in the distance, which, unlike what we are used to, is NOT obscured by the highway bridge.
Excursions can be started directly from the holiday home, up to the chapel of Santa Brigida or down to Dolcedo - beautiful routes that are also manageable for children.
A special highlight for us this year was the visit to the "Grotte di Toirano", a huge dripstone cave with a bear cemetery, underground lake, and footprints of early humans. Our son was thrilled ?
As always, we had fantastic meals in Prela (Ristorante Val Prino). Here you can enjoy Ligurian cuisine (a fixed 9-course menu) at a fair price (35 euros including drinks). They are also open in the evenings, but for us, eating outside on the terrace on Sunday afternoon was particularly beautiful. Be sure to make a reservation!
If there were any questions or problems, the landlords were not only always reachable at short notice, despite being on vacation themselves, but also solution-oriented and very friendly. Not a matter of course!
For those who come to Liguria for the first time, it should be known that the roads are often quite long and arduous - the road is usually very narrow, so the reverse gear sometimes has to be engaged so that two cars can pass each other - but it is rewarded with a view and pure nature! Meanwhile, Liguria has become the ultimate vacation for us - mountains, sea, perfect temperatures, Italian Dolce Vita, and the special atmosphere of such fantastic holiday homes. Thank you for two relaxing and wonderful weeks!

Great week in Liguria in beautifully located country house
Fantastic location in the middle of olive groves, beautifully furnished, the roof terrace alone is a dream, beautiful hiking opportunities right on the doorstep, a setting that has something to offer for everyone. Whether you want to go hiking or cycling in the wild nature around Dolcedo, whether you want to experience the medieval flair in the surrounding villages, enjoy great food or just read and relax, this is the perfect place for all that. Very helpful were the written tips and assistance from the owners, from hiking recommendations to addresses of doctors and hospitals, everything was thought of! We will be back, thank you very much!

14 Tage Dolce Vita
Top equipment, we really didn't miss anything. The location of Casa Limone with its great views is simply beautiful, even though the drive with a trailer was a little adventure. Narrow, winding road, but the Italians are a very relaxed bunch and therefore not really a problem. We can fully recommend Casa Limone. The whole area is perfect for motorcycle riding. Whether coastal road or hinterland. Here are 3 more tips for eating out. First, try the Macaroni, they serve super delicious pasta dishes with really large portions at affordable prices. We have been guests there again and again over the past 10 years.
Next, you should definitely make a reservation at Val Prino Agriturismo. Dinner always starts at 8:00 PM and you never know what you'll get. Exciting and delicious. 5 appetizers, 2 pasta dishes, 2 meat dishes, dessert, wine/water/espresso included for 30 Euros per person. The pizzeria Dolcedo by Draicchio Michelangelo, located right in the town center, makes the best pizza for us, definitely try the calzone.
Our tip for buying olive oil. Tested by us for 10 years and found to be very good. Small family business with very high quality.
We love Liguria and will definitely be back soon.

20 years ago, we discovered our "little paradise". For many years we have carefully restored and decorated.
