Description
The apartment has a living space of 60 square meters and can accommodate 4 persons.
There is one bedroom with a queen size bed, a bedroom with two single beds. Furthermore, a living room with flat-screen TV, an open kitchen with Ceramfeld stove, refrigerator with freezer and a washing machine, and a bathroom with separate toilet.
There is a small balcony and you can reach the apartment via an outside staircase, as it is located on the first floor.
The apartment is very well equipped.
Bed linen is included in the price, the beds are made upon arrival. Towels you need to bring.

Location and surroundings of object
This former farmhouse is on the outskirts, close to the forest. There are numerous, beautiful hiking trails, which begin in part at the house, to the High Vosges.
Nearby there are many ruins, the restored Hochkönigsburg, the Alsace wine route with its picturesque streets and houses, Kintzheim with outdoor enclosure for 200 monkeys, birds of prey demonstrations at the castle, Stork breeding in Hunawihr and more.
Alsace is not only known for its many festivals and markets, which are distributed throughout the year, but also for its hospitality, the delicious cuisine and the wonderful wines.
In summer, the houses are adorned with bright red geraniums hanging. In autumn, when the trees and vines have become colorful, you can taste the new wine after a beautiful hike, with fresh nuts and a piece of delicious onion.

Very well...
Central location to explore Alsace. The holiday apartment was very clean and more than spacious enough for the two of us. Very well equipped for daily needs.
Also met a very nice landlord in Mrs. Meyer. Communication and handling were flawless.
We felt very comfortable.

Discovering Alsace
We spent two beautiful weeks here. The apartment was very clean and equipped with everything one needs. We lacked nothing! The landlords are very nice and we felt very comfortable. The perfect place to get to know Alsace.

Discovering Alsace
The accommodation is ideally located for all kinds of activities. Whether it's trips to tourist hotspots like Colmar, Obernai, or Strasbourg, a boat ride with a longboat from "Le Batelier du Ried" in Muttersholtz, or heading into nature to collect mushrooms or berries, or exploring the Vosges with its many castles, everything is very easily accessible.
Little tip for a visit to Haut Koenigsbourg: There is a shuttle bus (line 500) from Selestat to the castle. Departure in front of the train station, buy a ticket on the bus. The fare for a round trip (currently €5) is credited to the entrance ticket. This not only saves you €1 but also a lot of nerves when it comes to parking and walking. There are two free parking lots right by the train station.
We were warmly welcomed at our accommodation. Since our French knowledge ends after a few basic terms, we were glad to be greeted in German. Heartfelt thanks once again to the Meyer family.
At the bakery in the village, you can also hear supportive German while shopping. However, you are welcome to try speaking in French as well.
The accommodation is well-equipped and impeccably clean, as described.
The Meyer family truly does everything to ensure that the vacationers lack nothing.
The apartment can also be kept quite cool even at high temperatures thanks to the shutters. We therefore felt very, very comfortable.

Central location for Alsace and the Vosges.
The apartment is ideally located for trips in Alsace. The description is spot on. As a couple, we had plenty of space, even when it rained. In the rural surroundings, we felt very comfortable far away from the tourist hustle and bustle. The good care by the landlords is exemplary in every respect and was a great help for us - without knowledge of French. Fresh baguette from the baker every morning on foot and for larger purchases to Super U by car. We lacked nothing. Thank you very much, Family Meyer!

Kleiner Tipp für einen Besuch der Haut Koenigsbourg: Es gibt ein Shuttlebus (Linie 500) von Selestat zur Burg. Abfahrt vor dem Bahnhof, Ticket im Bus kaufen Der Fahrtpreis Hin- und Rückfahrt (derzeit 5€) wird auf die Eintrittskarte angerechnet. Man spart dabei nicht nur 1€ sondern auch viel Nerven beim Parken und Fußmarsch. Es gibt zwei kostenlose Parkplätze direkt beim Bahnhof.
Wir wurden in unserer Unterkunft aufs herzlichste empfangen. Da unsere Französischkenntnisse nach ein paar grundlegenden Begriffen enden, waren wir froh in deutscher Sprache begrüßt zu werden. Herzlichen Dank noch einmal dafür an Familie Meyer.
Beim Bäcker im Ort bekommt man beim Einkauf auch unterstützend deutsch zu hören. doch darf man sich selbst auch in französisch versuchen, dass eben gern gesehen ist.
Die Unterkunft ist der Beschreibung entsprechend mit allem super ausgestattet und blitzsauber.
Die Familie Meyer tut wirklich alles, dass es den Urlaubern an nichts fehlt.
Die Wohnung lässt sich auch bei hohen Temperaturen durch die Fensterläden recht kühl halten.
Wir haben uns daher sehr, sehr wohlgefühlt.

Die Wohnung ist ein super Ausgangspunkt für das Elsass. Sie liegt hierfür in jeder Beziehung zentral. In der Umgebung hat man Sehenswürdigkeiten wie die Haut Koenigsbourg sowie einerseits Wälder ohne Ende, Hügel und Berge, andererseits einen schnellen Zugang zur Rheinebene mit Autobahnverbindungen nach z.B. Obernai oder Straßburg im Norden, oder nach Colmar im Süden. Die "richtigen" Vogesen sind ebenfalls schnell erreicht (Wanderwege mit wunderbaren Ausblicken, Besucher-Bergwerke (dafür brauchts auch im Sommer einen Pulli), Skipisten, Radsportmöglichkeiten usw).
Woran man sich vielleicht gewöhnen muss: Einkaufsmöglichkeiten scheinen in der ganzen Gegend unterrepräsentiert oder versteckt. Wenn man mal einen Supermarkt findet: zuschlagen, sonst endet man wie wir am Anfang in einem Norma oder Lidl - nichts, weswegen man nach Frankreich fährt. Auch die Märkte (Liste in der Wohnung) sind eine Möglichkeit, gerade Obst- und Gemüseläden scheinen eine Rarität. Bauernmärkte entlang der Straße haben wir zu spät entdeckt - sollte man einbeziehen. Essen & Trinken sind natürlich ansonsten Teil des Pflichtprogramms, Weinprobe bei einem lokalen Winzer incl.
Wir haben uns nach jedem schönen Ausflugstag in unserer Ferienwohung immer wieder gut für die Pläne am nächsten Tag stärken können :-)
