Beautiful holiday house isolated in the forest

The holiday house "La Fermette" is located a few hundred meters from Fouchy in the middle of the forest. The location is ideal for hiking/MTB tours in the Vosges or excursions to the wine towns nearby. Highly recommendable, especially with children, as there is no car traffic and the forest is right outside the door. The accommodation is clean, beautiful, and lovingly furnished; in bad weather, you can easily spend a day indoors by the fireplace. Clarisse, the landlady, is super nice and helpful. We will definitely come back again!

La Fermette

We, three of us, stayed in the beautiful cottage for a vacation and were thrilled by the loving and tasteful furnishings of the accommodation. You could immediately feel comfortable, the equipment was exceptionally good. Dishes, cutlery, glasses, everything was plentiful. The landlady is extremely warm and provided many good tips for excursions. The view and the peace are excellent. The only small drawback is the last kilometer of the approach, which leads over an unpaved road with some potholes. But that wouldn't stop us from going on vacation there again anytime!

If you love nature and seek tranquility, then the holiday home La Fermette is the perfect place for you. The little house is beautifully decorated. On the terrace, you only hear the birds chirping. The host Clarisse takes great care of her guests. Many beautiful excursion spots are not far away. We visited the Monkey Mountain (Montagne des Singes) near Kintzheim, about 17 km from Fouchy, a 24-hectare forest area where Barbary macaques live. The Hochkönigsburg (Chateau du Haut-Koenigsbourg) in Kintzheim was very impressive.
Ribeauville, about 35 km from Fouchy, is a beautiful town and
village Hunawihr where we visited a great wildlife park (NaturOparcs)
with many storks that can be observed up close.
Also worth seeing is the open-air museum (Ecomusee d´Alsace) nearby
Ungersheim, about 1.5 hours away from Fouchy.
We had a great vacation and can only recommend it.

Holidays for Greens.

This is the third time we have spent a holiday at Clarisse Neppel's in Fouchy because of its fantastically quiet location. The last kilometre of the journey requires spring travel in the car. The very lovingly and stylishly furnished holiday home is ideal as a base camp for hiking or for city tours in Alsace. Our dog Pica got along splendidly with Clarisse's little Hovi (4 months old). The owner is simply adorable.

Great accommodation, very lovingly furnished with many details. Everything you need is there! Clean and well maintained and as described on the homepage. Super location, extremely quiet but convenient by car for numerous tours in Alsace. We were on the road every day, so the wonderful terrace was hardly used during the day :-) The ride with the donkeys was very nice and all in all we enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you dear Clarisse for the nice welcome, the nice hospitality and the good tips! It was a very nice week!!!

Oasis of Peace

The location of la fermette is unique, even though the access road is a bit bumpy. You are in the middle of nature, enjoy a beautiful view from the terrace, and can start hiking directly from the house, which dog owners love. The house is clean and has everything you need. Many lovingly decorated details create an atmosphere. Clarisse warmly welcomes you and provides valuable tips for your stay. By car, you can reach Strasbourg or Colmar in about one hour. Worthwhile destinations are also Haut Koenigsburg, Mount Odile, the Vosges mountain range route, and of course the many charming wine villages. I would definitely recommend La Fermette.

Very good, very nice

Fouchy - a place where stores and restaurants still take lunch breaks and where Sunday is still a day of rest ;-) Our stay in the Fermette of the lovely Clarisse was relaxing and beautiful. From here, you have a good starting point for many activities. Walking in the forest, visiting picturesque castles, monkey mountains and climbing parks, or enjoying wine-filled evenings at the summer market of Valle with music are possible. The three donkeys on the farm captivate not only children. If you prefer to feed cows in the barn with your children or try milking them, you can visit the nice people at Humberts Farm in the neighboring valley. One thing to consider: you have to be okay with having to walk uphill at times. We will gladly come back.

Can't get better than this!

Even though the tourism industry suggests that "only action brings satisfaction", higher, faster, further, more - maybe that is actually the case for some people. But for those who do not belong to this group, who do not need 40 degrees in the shade with a pool bar or want to indulge in mass tourism on a cruise ship with 2000 other passengers, help is available. In, around, and in this lovely cottage, there is everything the soul and heart need: lots of nature, peace, space, no traffic. Everything that stresses at home stays outside. Just switch off (even the phone) and see what happens. . .

In fact, this vacation could also be on prescription.

Due to its central location, virtually the entire Vosges can be explored, unless you just want to sit on the terrace and enjoy. . . And the children can play and be completely carefree. We were here at the beginning/middle of April, the weather was so good that we were outside all day. During our numerous tours to all the passes of the Vosges, we felt very undisturbed, the season had not yet started. This, along with the French serenity, contributed to absolute relaxation.

Eine Perle in der Natur

We were looking for relaxation and escape from everyday life and can say 100% that we found it in this little cottage. The attention to detail, the loving furnishings, and the warmth of the wood can be felt literally. The fireplace completes the whole and makes it perfect. One learns to appreciate and love nature again. Just leave the daily routine behind and be able to breathe again, recharge your batteries. The warm and loving welcome from the landlady with freshly made apple juice and freshly baked cake. Just fantastic. You rarely find something like this. Thank you dear Clarisse for giving us such a wonderful time in this beautiful house, with all the preparations and everything around it.

Wunderschönes Urlaubsdomizil

A very beautiful and cozily furnished cottage with all necessary comforts, in an absolutely prime location, right by the forest with excellent hiking opportunities. However, you can also quickly reach Colmar or Strasbourg, or visit the many charming villages along the Alsace Wine Route. Ideal for relaxing and unwinding. Vacation for the Soul

If you love nature and the charm of old farmhouses, then La Fermette is the perfect place for you. This enchanting cottage has been lovingly restored with great care. You can simply leave behind the everyday life and enjoy the tranquility. Just listen to nature. . . bird songs, the woodpecker knocking, the wind gently rustling through the trees. . . From Fouchy, you can embark on beautiful excursions. There is a lot to discover. I would recommend the wine route, the small churches, the beautiful villages with flower-decorated houses, the castles, the Monkey Mountain (it's really fun to see the monkeys freely moving around), and the stork park. We would love to come back again!

Urlaub im Paradies

We, an older couple with a dog, were very kindly welcomed by Clarisse and had a quiet and very restful week, feeling very comfortable in the cozy house. Our favorite place was at the table under the special apple tree, where our breakfast always lasted a long time (at least 1 hour). It was a paradise for our Beagle. We will definitely come back. Great family vacation!!

We were two adults, two small children, a teenager, and a dog staying at "La Fermette". We really enjoyed our stay. Our daughter loved the donkey rides, and the teenager loved the WiFi :-)
The holiday home is somewhat secluded in the forest (no traffic, very quiet) but you can quickly reach a supermarket, a pub, and easily get to Colmar or Strasbourg. Particularly worth seeing are the many charming little villages along the Alsace Wine Route. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. We will gladly come back.

Pure relaxation at the Fermette de la fontaine

We spent two very pleasant weeks at La Fermette. The location is exceptionally beautiful, with various activities available (hiking, sightseeing, or simply lazing around, spoiling the donkeys, ...). Great stay in a rustic/romantic setting.

It was a really nice short break. Everything you need is available in the house. Even though it's a smoker's house, we were glad it didn't smell of smoke (we are smokers but only outside).
