Description
Your accommodation was originally an old chestnut roasting facility, which I acquired in 1996 and subsequently renovated. The living house is divided on the ground floor into a kitchen-living room - large fitted kitchen and dining room with a wood-burning stove. In the summer, the cast-iron stove is just nice to look at, but in the spring or autumn, it is cozy to sit in front of it with a glass of red wine and watch the fire, there is plenty of wood available. For cooking enthusiasts, a large gas stove is traditionally available, of course. Spices etc. are provided, and you are also welcome to help yourself to the herb garden :-) Since I appreciate a certain comfort when cooking and eating, the kitchen is of superior quality (hand mixer, immersion blender, WMF knife block, beautiful porcelain, etc.). From the kitchen, two steps lead to the cloakroom area and the bathroom with a shower, sink, and toilet. From there, a wooden staircase goes up to the upper floor with a bedroom (double bed 1.80m x 2.00m) and a living room (sofa bed 1.20m x 2.00m, TV, stereo system, books, CD, DVD). All rooms, except for the bathroom, are open, similar to a gallery, with fine chestnut wood and visible roof trusses. Many smaller and larger terraces in my garden invite you to relax and simply look around and do nothing, either with a view of the valley / the mountains or the sea. You can also sit traditionally under the obligatory olive tree, relax actively with yoga (mat available) or passively while sunbathing (sun loungers available), comfortably in the hanging chair or socially during a barbecue on the terrace with the small grill area. Not having to do anything, but being able to do everything, have lots of fun :-)

Location and surroundings of object
My house is located at the edge of Torcigliano, a small locality with 100 inhabitants and no through traffic. The paved main road ends at the church; from there, it continues for another 200 meters along a gravel road towards the cemetery. You can drive up to this point, but it is better to park at the church first, and then I will show you the way to your accommodation. :-)
The nearest bakery, butcher, and grocery store are in Camaiore (7 km away).

Direct neighbors I have not, in the immediate vicinity is the small cemetery. Among or behind my house are 2 vegetable gardens; these are my neighbors, the day ever come for casting or crops, but otherwise it is very quiet and a lot of nature. From my house to the center = Restaurant is ca 10 min. on foot; a dinner at 'Mattarello' I can only recommend: delicious starters, pasta homemade, wild boar ... and then have a Tortina al cioccolato! Perfect really fair :-) value.

Beautiful house in a dream location
The house is very well-maintained, tastefully furnished, with plenty of space. The garden is also a particularly beautiful place, with many options to sit, lie down, sunny and shady, depending on what you want. The view of the mountains is stunning. A place to unwind and relax. The friendly landlord is very helpful, accessible, and reliable. From there, you can make many different excursions: sea, culture, hiking, city strolls.

Simply unbelievable
We arrived in Torcigliano after an 8-hour drive, with a dog and a child. It was even more beautiful than the photos here on Ferienhausmiete.de. The cottage is wonderfully nestled in a wooded area on a mountain in a small village. The road up there almost gave me a heart attack every time, but I had a great driver and the more we drove up and down, the easier it became.
The cottage itself was located on a slope surrounded by many olive trees, a meadow with terraces, and a fabulous view. It was extremely lovingly and perfectly furnished. The kitchen had more utensils than at my home, so I made notes of what was missing in my kitchen. The living room was a flight of stairs higher and was extremely comfortably furnished with a couch, TV (German channels), DVD player, many movies, and books. All windows in the house were equipped with mosquito screens. The bed was on a gallery next to the stairs in front of the living room, and it was great to lie in it. The mattress was perfect, and the pillows, which I usually have something to complain about, were really cuddly.
But what rounded off the whole experience was the great landlady. We didn't feel like holiday guests, but we were warmly welcomed by her. She gave us tips for sightseeing, asked us about further wishes, and inquired daily whether everything was to our satisfaction. We had a lot of fun and laughed a lot together, we were on the same wavelength.
When we had to leave after 7 days, a bit of melancholy set in. We had not only found a great place to stay, but also met a great and generous woman. We arrived as strangers and left as friends.
We will gladly come back. Goodbye Claudia.

A wonderful place
We spent 2 weeks in Claudia's fantastic refuge in April.
After Cleopatra's review, it is difficult to add anything else. We can only agree with this and the many other previous positive reviews.
But we would like to highlight:
- the location of Torcigliano, which is a bit remote (with a somewhat challenging approach for us) but perhaps that is why it has preserved its original charm.
- the location of the house, offering tranquility, originality, and untouched nature with many interesting hiking possibilities in the surroundings.
- the numerous cozy spots in the terrace garden for relaxation, where you can find a suitable spot for every time of day. Unfortunately, the weather did not always allow us to enjoy this.
In the house and throughout the garden area, you can feel that Claudia has designed everything with a lot of love and passion (and, of course, with a lot of work).
- and lastly, Claudia herself.
She took very attentive care to make our holiday as pleasant as possible. Her many valuable tips for activities were very helpful. Her humorous, uncomplicated, and natural manner immediately created a friendly atmosphere that we greatly appreciated. We spent several hours together with lots of laughter but also with interesting conversations. We always looked forward to Gisi's (Claudia's dachshund) visits, eagerly collecting her portion of Mortadella from us. :-)
CONCLUSION: Absolutely and wholeheartedly recommended!!
Based on our many positive experiences, we have already booked another holiday with Claudia and are happy to stay in friendly contact with her.

Pure relaxation on a Tuscan vacation
First of all, this beautiful holiday home lives up to all the super positive reviews that have been given before and that convinced us to book. A very nice house on a terraced garden plot and in a very quiet, almost rural location in Torcigliano, far away from any hustle and bustle, lovingly and tastefully furnished and equipped with everything you need and more. We felt it was luxurious. In addition to a TV and sound system, the cozy living room has plenty of books, so you can spend even the rare rainy days very comfortably. For the garden, you should plan a little exploration tour with so many cozy spots. Everything imaginable is also available here: a furnished terrace with a large parasol, a sun lounger with a view of the sea in a more secluded location depending on the time of day, additional loungers and even a garden shower. The main house is suitable for 2-3 people (double bed with a very good mattress + sofa bed), there is also an outbuilding with a bathroom where two more people can sleep. We were two and didn't need the outbuilding. All windows are equipped with solid insect screens, which we greatly appreciated.
Thank you, Claudia, for your hospitality, the extremely useful hiking or cycling route tips, your recommendations for the beach and restaurants, as well as for trips to the surrounding cities. It was very pleasant and we enjoyed getting to know you and your beautiful home, we will gladly come back!
