What makes this accommodation unique

We have furnished our holiday flat in a high quality and comfortable way. We have attached importance to the rooms being bright and friendly. The walls are decorated with lime plaster and mineral colours, which ensures an allergy-friendly indoor climate. We have installed decentralised ventilation in the bedrooms. With us you may feel comfortable and spend a relaxing holiday. Individuals, families with children as well as larger groups of all ages are welcome here

Rooted in the Eifel, at home in the world

About us:
We, that is Margret and Johann Lenz, were born in the Eifel. For many years we lived with our family in Mützenich, a neighbouring village to Bleialf. After all our children had left home, we bought our current house in Bleialf in 2006 and have lived there since 2014. Professionally, we also got to know city life, but we feel at home in the countryside. We love and appreciate our home. Nevertheless, we like to get to know other cultures and travel a lot. Whether by plane to Australia or by van through Norway, we are drawn to faraway places.

Why accommodation in Bleialf?

After having renovated our house and rebuilt it according to our wishes, we have moved in and feel very comfortable here in Bleialf (with its good infrastructure and all daily necessities). As nature lovers, we always explore the area anew and enjoy the peace and quiet, but we are also happy about the many events offered by the associations in the community. We also enjoy visiting supra-regional events, such as the Prümer Summer, Bitburger Folklore Festival, many Christmas markets, etc.

Location and surroundings of object

In the middle of the Eifel, in the heart of the Schneifel!

In the middle of the Schneifel, in the resort Bleialf, our lovingly furnished holiday flat is located in a quiet side street and yet central. The very well-stocked Edeka market is only 200 metres away. Guests can also get milk directly from the producer on foot

Let your palate be spoiled by the 3 restaurants in the village. The local bakery offers sourdough bread made according to an old recipe.

The wooded hilly landscape of our beautiful Eifel offers young and old as lovers of nature and tranquillity many opportunities for a relaxing holiday in every season. Both hikers and cyclists get their money's worth

The Eifel-Ardennes cycle path passes our house in 400m distance. For sports enthusiasts, there are good running and Nordic walking paths in the 'Bähnchen' or on the old railway line

Culture lovers can explore the history of the Bleialfer lead mine on a guided tour in the Mühlenbergerstollen or get to know our beautiful Catholic church "Eifeldom".

The Schwarzer Mann winter sports area offers winter sports enthusiasts a playground in the immediate vicinity. But also hikers will find a wonderful landscape in the winter months, for extended tours in the freezing cold

Those looking for the flair of small rural towns should visit the abbey town of Prüm and the beer town of Bitburg.

Besides the St. Salvator Basilica with the tomb of Emperor Lothar I and the Sandals of Christ, Prüm is also home to a bustling town centre, with many restaurants and shopping opportunities.

With a distance of 4km to the Belgian border and 17km to the Luxembourg border, travelling to the neighbouring countries is commonplace for us. The neighbouring region of East Belgium not only offers culinary specialities such as Belgian waffles, chocolates, frites and medieval beer culture, but the High Fens Nature Park with its raised bogs also invites you to make excursions. Cities like St. Vith, Eupen and Liège make it possible to experience Belgium's different way of life at first hand.

The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg attracts visitors with its numerous castles, tranquil towns and scenic highlights such as the German-Luxembourg Nature Park and Luxembourg Switzerland. Luxembourg's cuisine is also famous beyond its borders, combining German heartiness and richness with French delicacy. Let yourself be enchanted by the concentrated culture of one of the smallest countries in the world

A trip across the border is, so to speak, obligatory, if only to experience the very diverse language culture.

Beautiful, complete and hospitable.

Very nice, spacious house. We were a travel group of 4 adults and three children, for which the accommodation provided more than enough space. The host mentioned that the bathroom had recently been renovated to add a second toilet. This was very convenient with such a group.

The landlords, Mr. and Mrs. Lenz, are very welcoming and helpful. It is a very neat and spacious holiday home and equipped with all comforts. The location is perfect for trips, most attractions in the Eifel can be reached within an hour.

Recreation in the Eifel

We can highly recommend this holiday flat. The flat is superbly furnished, we wanted for nothing. We felt very comfortable right from the start. Very friendly, nice and obliging landlords.
The house is located in a small village in the Eifel, with a high recreational factor, quiet and rural. The surrounding area is ideal for many hikes and activities. The restaurants in the village are to be recommended.
Thank you very much for a wonderful time.

Great short holiday!

We were guests with 3 generations of 6 people for 5 days in the wonderfully spacious, very clean and excellently equipped holiday flat. The flat is tastefully furnished and everything is there
Bleialf has a great infrastructure: supermarket, banks, petrol station, restaurants with beer garden, pharmacy, bakeries (the rolls from Cafe Petit in the centre of the village are to be recommended)
Around Bleialf there are beautiful hiking trails (information material is available, e.g. hiking trails at the Schwarzer Mann with a stop in the log cabin and burger meal or also a nature adventure trail directly near the village), as well as in the wider surroundings, e.g. at Lake Kronenburg, where hiking can be combined with a visit to the lido
A big thank you to the Lenz family for the warm cake reception (very tasty!) and the wonderful hospitality.
We will be very happy to come again!

Vacation with kids

We had a wonderful two-week vacation with our three kids (4, 7, and 8 years old). The house is spacious and well-equipped. There are enough rooms to keep the kids separated when necessary. The house, located on the lower floor and partially hidden by the garden, remained cool even when the outside temperature reached 38 degrees. There is a shop within walking distance and restaurants nearby. The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful. If you don't mind driving a car, there are plenty of activities within reach, in Germany, Belgium, and Luxembourg. We recommend hiking in the Dolomites (Gerolstein), visiting Eifelparc with kids, and Grotte de Remouchamps. Only a minor downside: the wifi connection was frequently lost, but perhaps that's a positive during vacation time ;-)

Holiday in the Alftal

We wanted to spend a quiet vacation. The holiday apartment exceeded all our expectations. The rooms are tastefully furnished, the bathroom and kitchen are new and modern. You can reach all places in the Vulkaneifel region in a short time and still enjoy the tranquility of a remote holiday apartment. We will gladly come back.
