The vacation apartment is great, Bad Sachsa is an interesting city, very child-friendly.

Everything went smoothly, if we had a question, the Kranich family was always there right away. The vacation rental is beautifully furnished and equipped, we had a wonderful holiday and can only recommend it. There were no defects.

Beautiful large apartment for families

The apartment was big enough for 7 people and also clean. What was not so clean was the dishes and cutlery in the cupboards. Probably because they hadn't been used for a while. We had to wash some of it first because there were still old leftovers stuck to it. The knives could be sharpened, they were so blunt, I thought I was cutting with a spoon.

The 2 bathrooms were okay. The water drained very slowly in the larger one and the second one was very, very small. But it worked for the few days. Unfortunately, there were 2 "extra" services. The "free" WiFi advertised on booking had to be paid for, €7. And the barbecue area mentioned on booking could only be looked at unless you paid a €10 deposit (which you get back) so that you leave it clean, which should actually be self-evident, but shouldn't that be part of the final cleaning that you also pay for? If it's not clean, you can deduct it from the €100 deposit that you also have to leave. Then there's an additional €10 rent just to be able to use the barbecue, which you don't get back. That's for getting a gas cylinder at all.

The beds were very comfortable, at least I didn't hear anything different from the other 6. So, the apartment was perfectly adequate for 7 people. It didn't feel crowded and everything worked out with the 2 bathrooms/toilets. The small terrace was made the best use of (in terms of space) for so many people. You could sit or stand there comfortably. The only thing that bothered my elderly parents a little was that the bench with its relatively thin seat cushions was too hard. They took chairs from inside outside.

Absolutely recommended!

We spent a wonderful Pentecost holiday in the Crane apartment with seven people. With 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, we all had enough space. The apartment is top furnished, everything you need is there or is provided by the nice landlords. Since the grill was broken, but we arrived with barbecue meat, Mr. Kranich drove to Bad Harzburg to buy a new gas grill. That's service, thank you family Kranich!

The location was very central. The registry office was quickly accessible, as well as restaurants and ice cream parlors. The rooms were very spacious, so good for the many people we were at times.

We were on-site with two families.

The location is excellent, only 200 meters to the town center or to the bakery with fresh bread (even on Sundays). The landlord was on-site on the day of arrival, showed us everything, and gave us tips for excursions. The holiday home was very spacious for 2 families with 2 children each. Four bedrooms and two bathrooms were sufficient, everyone had their own quiet area. We always gathered at the large dining table. The only downside was the broken drain in the shower of the first bathroom. Everyone has space on the terrace, but there is no space for children to play at the back, only for sitting and grilling. That wasn't a problem though, as there was enough space and opportunities in the neighboring spa park. Bad Sachsa is a very beautiful, clean, and child-friendly place.
We definitely recommend the holiday home, it is very well equipped, clean, and spacious. Free Wi-Fi would be modern, but it doesn't matter.

For our family weekend with 8 persons, the apartment was perfect with 4 bedrooms. Everything you need (kitchen equipment + spices, dishwasher + tabs, soap, terrace with plenty of seating and gas grill, towels, etc.) is available. There are plenty of excursions on-site and in the surrounding area. The town center with shops, restaurants, and bakery as well as the spa park can be reached quickly on foot. Despite current regulations, we spent great days here and found the perfect accommodation for relaxing between excursions with the holiday apartment.

Super Unterkunft

We wanted to do something together in the last days of our vacation, so we traveled to this accommodation.
We got there using train and bicycles. Everything was easily accessible (often within walking distance).
The facilities were great, especially with the two bathrooms, multiple TVs, WiFi, and the terrace with seating area.
The kitchen was also well-equipped.
Nothing was missing, there was even a garage available for the bikes.

It was a very beautiful holiday week that passed too quickly.

The location of the vacation rental was very good, whether you wanted to hike, swim, take a stroll, shop, or go out to eat, the distances were relatively short, and you were right in the middle of it all. We were four people with two Yorkies, had plenty of space, you could retreat (four bedrooms) or sit together at the large table and play cards and the like. Of course, you could also make yourself comfortable on the corner couch and watch TV.

We came for the snow, and we had a wonderful week with spring temperatures. The holiday home of the Kranich family certainly contributed to a great stay in Bad Sachsa. A nice, cozy home with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living-dining room with kitchenette. Fully equipped and spacious enough for 2 families! Beds were already made upon arrival, and towels were provided. The Kranich family is friendly, helpful, and does everything to make it a great experience! We had an all-round successful short trip in the Kranich family's holiday home in Bad Sachsa.

The flat is beautiful, sufficiently equipped, clean and tidy. Very well located, not in the middle of the city (advantageous because our dog Flip was also on holiday with us) and yet everything within walking distance. Only a few steps to the baths and into town in no time. I recommend the Saxa restaurant, but not the Lindenhof - they should do a hygiene check there. All in all, the Kranich holiday accommodation is 100% recommendable.

We were in the Kranich apartment with three generations to spend our father's 80th birthday there. All in all, we liked everything very much and felt comfortable. The apartment is in a nice central but quiet location. We spent almost every evening playing cards on the terrace. The only downer for us was the complaint of the permanent tenant above the apartment when we serenaded our father at midnight and congratulated him on his birthday. What you should also know: one room is a passage to the terrace and to the second bathroom, which in turn can be reached via the hallway. But we didn't find that too bad.

Beautiful centrally located holiday flat

The holiday flat is friendly and completely furnished. The four of us (two adults, two children) stayed there for over a week and felt very comfortable. We partly catered for ourselves (cooked), but also visited nearby restaurants. Many things are within walking distance of the holiday flat, such as the swimming pool, the spa park or the mini golf course. Another fantastic holiday.

We have stayed here several times now with our hosts Thomas and Sabine and will definitely be back. Great house in a great location of the Harz Mountains. Fewo Kranich is located within walking distance of many restaurants and a 10 minute walk to the main supermarket. Bad Sachsa is in a great location to explore the Harz region be it on foot, bicycle or as in our case motorcycle.

Top price and equipment!

Of all the holiday flats and houses we have visited so far, this was one of the best, at an absolutely fair price. The room layout was well solved and there was a suitable bedroom for everyone in our group (2 to 70 years). The kitchen was good "cookable" and the two showers were big enough. In addition, the holiday home is very central to the city centre and therefore many routes (shopping mile, thermal baths etc.) were also within walking distance in a few minutes. We can only recommend this holiday home to any (larger) group and would like to thank the Kranich family again for the pleasant stay.

Small but nice!

Very nice and clean flat in the basement of the house. The rooms were waiting for us, stocked with bed linen and towels. Arrive and feel good! The terrace invites you to linger and barbecue. (Unfortunately, it was still a bit chilly for us to sit outside.) The contact with the landlords was impeccable and highly recommended. The house is very well located, both close to the city and very close to the forest. As described, there are many leisure activities nearby, both for adults and children. From hiking to swimming to ice skating, there is everything. There are shopping facilities in the town. The waffles at the "Harzer Schnitzelhaus & Harzer Waffelbäckerei" are also recommended. :) The only small flaw was that we were five adults, two children and two dogs - so the space in the living/dining room was a little tight from time to time. For longer than a weekend it would have been a bit too small for the number of tenants. Otherwise, the flat has everything you need. We had a great time in Bad Sachsa and the flat.

Weekend with friends.

The vacation rental is great, close to the city center, close to hiking trails, close to a bakery, close to restaurants. The local mountain/hiking trail Ravensberg can compete in beauty with the Brocken or surrounding areas. The landlords are friendly. The apartment is generously furnished, functional, clean, very good value for money, and modernly furnished. A tiny little flaw, three out of eight of our crew complained a bit that the second bathroom is not accessible at night for a toilet visit or in the early morning for showering because you have to go through a bedroom. Overall, for 6 friends or a family of eight people, it is a perfect vacation rental. We really liked it. We would all recommend this vacation rental and Bad Sachsa at any time.

We moved into a clean apartment and felt very comfortable. There is plenty of space available. During our stay, we were occasionally 8 people and we did not feel crowded. It is very central yet quiet on a side street. The town itself is small, friendly, and manageable. The town hall is historic with a beautiful wedding room where my partner and I exchanged vows. The venues in Bad Sachsa are also recommended (We enjoyed our wedding feast at Hotel Lindenhof. A hearty cuisine. Very tasty.)

Sehr zufrieden

We went on a short vacation to the Harz mountains with our adult children and their partners. The accommodation is very well-equipped and has everything you need. The rooms are functional and the apartment is very clean. If you look closely, you may find a small flaw here and there, but nothing worth mentioning. We were greeted very friendly and also bid farewell in the same way. We were all very satisfied!

- Better care of the green areas in front and behind the house, e.g. trimming of large plants, resulting in more brightness in the rooms.
- Installing fly screens especially in the bedrooms, also provides a better sense of security when sleeping with open windows.

Great location for motorcycling

We as a group of 4 bikers have returned to Fewo Kranich for a second year. The owner Thomas was very helpful/attentive and was at the property to greet us on our arrival. The property has ample parking for 4 to 6 motorbikes on the driveway. The property is in a great location to discover the Harz region and is very close to all amenities in Bad Sachsa, bar/restaurants are less than 5 minute walk from the property. We will certainly be staying here again upon our return.

Perfect for our plans!

We were looking for a house with four bedrooms to care for a rehabilitation friendship. We came from four different corners of Germany and met again here in Bad Sachsa after two years. We were able to enjoy the time together under one roof. The facilities were very good and everything was spotlessly clean.

It was a very nice vacation, the accommodation was very nice.

The Kranich family was on site when we arrived and informed us about the apartment, the surrounding area, and handed us a large folder with many excursion destinations. Despite the fact that the apartment was just being cleaned (around 12:00), we were able to store our luggage. An additional overnight stay for 2 people and a dog was arranged at short notice. Mr. Kranich was always available for minor issues and promptly provided a solution. We can recommend this accommodation for large families or groups. Hans-Joachim Schäfer

We had a wonderful time there. Having 4 separate bedrooms was important to us, and everything important was available. The bathrooms were also nice and clean, and the small backyard/garden was great for the kids to play. All the attractions of the Harz region are easily accessible. The landlord is very nice, and the pre-communication via email and phone was excellent.

It was a very beautiful accommodation, top equipped with nothing missing. Bad Sachsa is a cute little town and many things are within walking distance. Family holiday with snow

We stayed at Mr. Kranich's accommodation with the whole family (9 people and a child). Mr. Kranich was so kind and provided us with an extra bed. Even a high chair for the child was arranged. The furnishings in the house are good and cozy. Sufficient kitchen equipment (dishes, spices, tea, etc.) is available. Shopping opportunities, indoor playground for children, swimming pool, and much more are just a few minutes away. At Ravensburger Berg, you can go sledding, skiing, and snowboarding. We really enjoyed the weekend here and will definitely come back! Thank you very much!

We found a well-equipped, cozy vacation rental.

The rooms were well furnished, you could sleep excellently. The new bathroom with the accessible shower met our needs. The older bathroom with a shower is small but sufficient for unrestricted users. Additional lighting options created a cozy atmosphere. We were surprised by the TV setup. A TV device was available in each bedroom and the living area. The kitchen was very well equipped with all electrical appliances and sufficient dishes. There were no open wishes for us. Unfortunately, we could not use the garden area anymore because we had other plans. The Kranich family was always reachable by phone. We were very satisfied and will definitely come back again. We, a group of four individuals, spent a long weekend in Bad Sachsa. The apartment is very clean and well laid out with 4 separate double bedrooms. One bedroom has direct access to the terrace and the second bathroom, which did not bother us at all. The location is central yet quiet. The landlords are very friendly, always available, and so accommodating that they even picked us up from the train station. Within walking distance, bakeries, supermarkets, cafes, and restaurants can be reached in just a few minutes. The area is extremely beautiful for hiking and cycling. We were all very satisfied.

Very nice landlords, cozy, very clean and modern apartment. Positive: TVs in the rooms, presence of 2 bathrooms (new), important for my mom, bathroom lights by the mirror, good mattresses, no sagging, no back pain, the terrace invites you to linger, centrally located. Only downside= no WiFi. Maybe this can still be improved. Missing whisk and potato masher and a few more small spoons. Otherwise T O P. We will come back. First, the chilled sparkling wine was enjoyed.

In May 2016, we stayed for 10 nights in the holiday apartment Kranich. The landlords were always eager to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The apartment has everything you need, it is spacious enough for 8 people. 1-2 children's beds would also be possible. The bedrooms are grouped around the spacious living and dining area, with 2 showers and toilets available, as well as 4 TVs. Weather permitting, the terrace with barbecue facilities can be used. From the apartment, leisure and shopping opportunities are easily reachable on foot. The Harz Mountains and the surrounding area offer a variety of excursion destinations, so boredom should not arise even during a longer stay. A folder with information material is available, and the landlords are also happy to provide information. We felt very comfortable in Bad Sachsa and gladly recommend the vacation apartment Kranich.
