Description

Das Schmiedhaus is located on the southern slope about 2 km from Kaprun.
The blacksmith's house is very popular among guests for the coziness, the quiet and the 8 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. The bedrooms are not big, there is opposite, that there is no seat / sofa bed in the house. So for each guest a wonderful hotel box spring J. The sunny location and the beautiful view on the Kitzsteinhorn is very pleasant and beautiful. The chalet is only rented as a chalet. So 100% single use.
In the high season weeks there is a fixed price for the whole cottage.

Location and surroundings of object

Fuerth is a quit rest village from the southern slope of Kaprun. Just 2 car minutes from the center of Kaprun, first ski slope and supermarkt. Ski bus station just about 100 meter from the cottage. The view is amazing. You look over Kaprun and at the Kitzsteinhorn.

Old cottage but well equipped

The house consists of 2 apartments, we rented these apartments together for 12 people.
There were a few shortcomings upon arrival but these were quickly resolved either by the caretaker or by ourselves.
The kitchens are well equipped, although a microwave is missing. The ovens work very well. The WiFi is available everywhere but does not always work properly.
The dining table is tight for 12 adults, but we solved this by adding an extra outdoor table. The heated ski storage room is very convenient.
The view of the mountains and the horses is fantastic. All in all, we had a nice stay!

DE CHARME VAN EEN AUTHENTIEK OOSTENRIJKS CHALET TOCH ANDERS DAN EEN HOTEL

Ik begreep dat u normaal in hotels verblijft. De charme van das Schmiedhaus trok u echter aan en u wilde eens een vakantiehuis proberen…

Alle ruimtes zijn duidelijk gefotografeerd. De foto’s spreken voor zich. De eettafel is gedekt gefotografeerd, in de inventarislijst staat wat er in de keukens aanwezig is en de aanwezige apparatuur is vermeld. Ook wordt de locatie van het chalet duidelijk weergegeven. Ons advies is 12 tot max 16 volwassenen voor genoeg persoonlijke ruimte. Daarom bieden wij de mogelijkheid das Schmiedhaus met 12 personen al te boeken. Er worden geen kamers afgesloten.

Met 12 personen in een chalet met 8 slaapkamers, 2 woonkamers en een grote slaapzolder heb ik u tips aangedragen waar u uw koffers en de droogrekken neer kon zetten. De hele week had u super fantastisch weer. Frisse berglucht in je kleding is het aller lekkerst. Daarom de tip de droogrekken in de zon voor het chalet neer te zetten. Komt er onverwacht een bui? Geen probleem. Door het grote overstekende dak, blijft de was droog. Tips hoe u uw eten in pannen, koekenpannen en oven klaar kon maken.… Pantoffels die door de vorige gasten waren vergeten en helaas ook door het reinigingsteam is spijtig, maar wat anders dan een niet schoon chalet. U reed een elektrische auto. Zoals in de beschrijving valt te lezen is het niet toegestaan een elektrische auto met stroom van het chalet op te laden. U stond erop dat we een laadpaal in de regio voor u reserveerden. Ik heb voor u uitgezocht waar deze te vinden zijn en ze voor u in kaart gebracht.

U heeft zich gerealiseerd, dat een vakantiechalet echt anders is dan een hotel. Daarom is fijn, dat er voor ieder wat wils is in de regio. Wel jammer dat uw review daar onder heeft moeten leiden…..

A great place for a lovely vacation

The contact with the landlady and the contact person on site was very good. Good agreements and guidance, truly excellent.
The Schmiedhaus was only rented to us (ground floor), if there had been others on the first floor, we would probably have found it less pleasant (unless you belong together).
The house is complete, very well maintained, good beds, spacious bathroom, 2 showers, 2 toilets. The (dish)washer was also very welcome. And everything was nice, very fine!
The garden was great because we had beautiful weather (and it didn't have to be shared with the upstairs neighbors), the back neighbors caused some inconvenience but this was fortunately resolved.
You are away from the hustle and bustle of Kaprun here but still close to everything.
All in all, a great place for a wonderful holiday.

Great location!

Had a great time at the accommodation. After a day out, it felt like coming home upon returning. We enjoyed ourselves with the family. The accommodation is in a beautiful location, with horses in the front yard. Fun for the children to watch. And of course, a big plus, friendly and accommodating landlords. Hopefully again in the future!

Great family holiday

It was a wonderful holiday in the Zell am See region. Because the pandemic got in the way, we had to postpone our holiday by a year. This all went flawlessly and the landlord was great about accommodating us. It worked out great. When we were allowed to enter the country, we found a beautiful old farmhouse that had been updated to the latest standards. We were in the house with three generations and everything was fine. The layout of the rooms is perfect for larger groups and the facilities are great. The communication on site was also smooth. We felt completely comfortable and can only recommend the accommodation. Beautiful house, fantastic view, good facilities.

Beautiful, atmospheric, and complete chalet in a good location

The chalet is located in a beautiful location between Zell am See and Kaprun, within walking distance of the ski bus stop. The chalet is decorated with care to create a cozy atmosphere. The beds are comfortable, and the rooms are practical. Some rooms are limited in space for 2 people, but compared to the photos, it was actually better than expected due to the availability of closets, hooks, etc. It is a beautiful, clean, and complete chalet. The separate (heated) storage space for skis is also very convenient. It's nice that there are two spacious living rooms so you can possibly split up with a large group. We had a very pleasant stay and good communication with the landlords.

Lovely time at das Schmiedhaus with lots of space for everyone to relax

We had a lovely time at das Schmiedhaus. It is a really great house and was perfect for our family gathering. Everyone liked it very much and I hope that maybe one day we shall be able to return. Everything was perfect - lots of kitchen equipment, comfy beds, and just perfect in every way. The four oldest grandchildren - girls aged 8, 7, 6 and 5 - greatly enjoyed sleeping in the loft bedroom! There was lots of space for everyone to relax. None of us knew the area of Kaprun and Zell am See, so it was very nice to explore and discover how beautiful it is.

Thank you so much for allowing us to experience and enjoy your lovely house.

Noise disturbance from Monday to Saturday from 6:45 am until the evening.

The house is fine, the rooms are partly very small but suitable for a big family. The really NEGATIVE thing was that construction was being carried out eagerly four meters away from the blacksmith's house, and the noise started at 6:45 in the morning. The landlords who own this "construction site" were on-site and when I asked how long it would last, they didn't find a word of apology, just a very flippant remark that construction makes noise. Our parking spaces were adjacent to this noisy construction site. our cars were blocked in and we had to get the workers first. Even on Saturday, work was carried out until 3:30 p.m. with stone cutting machines. They could have dispelled the negative impression for us with appropriate information and a kind apology.

As true ski enthusiasts, we bought our first holiday home DAS SCHMIEDHAUS in FÜRTH in 2000. An empty wooden case, which we mainly built ourselves in years. Our dream came true! After the Schmiedhaus followed HAUS ALMKREEK in KAPRUN in 2005 and HAUS AM BACH in FÜRTH in 2017. Our children grew up with it and together we enjoy the mountains, the climate, the people, the culture, the food every time. We have furnished the houses from our own perspective. We used to be the unlucky person with the sofa bed! You will therefore not find them in our houses. For each guest a hotel box-spring bed in a bedroom, where you can relax as you need it. High quality houses with fully equipped kitchens, comfortable sitting areas, large dining tables ... You will find it with us. Many guests have had a wonderful holiday with us in recent years.
