Beautiful house - great garden - excellent location - lovely beach - super nice landlord/landlady

The shady, airy garden, the fans in every room, and the proximity to the sea (3 min.) and quick shopping (6 min.) have made the heatwave we are experiencing bearable for us. Narbonne-Plage is a relaxed place even in peak season with a wonderful beach. Nath's umbrellas and loungers made it comfortable, but for those who don't need that, they can spread out at the free beach as well. Dr. A. Karina Meub and Frido Knopp were very attentive landlords - detailed information in advance and nice contact and tips during the stay. The house is well maintained. The three of us could divide the rooms well - the stairs were sometimes a bit cumbersome for the 87-year-old mother.
In the garden, there is a summer kitchen, dining table, and many loungers and seating options. Unfortunately, it was too hot for all the planned trips to the beautiful landscape of La Clape. We made it to Gruissan, Narbonne, and Agde - very nice! Thank you for everything! And a clear recommendation for the accommodation and the area.

Great vacation after the summer holidays

Everything as hoped. There was no deception regarding the distance to the sea; everything was as described. Contact with the landlord and house management was possible at any time...before, during, and after the trip. By the way, excursions to the hinterland are highly recommended.

Schönes Ferienhaus

Beautiful and spacious holiday home near the beach, grocery stores within walking distance. The house is lovingly furnished, with a fully equipped kitchen, plenty of dishes that are sufficient for at least 7 people. Very generous and beautiful terrace area, as well as a lovely balcony, ideal for breakfast in the sun. Overall, we felt very comfortable in this relaxed atmosphere. In addition to the beautiful beach and nearby hiking area of La Clape, we also enjoyed the good golf courses in Carcassonne and Béziers, both highly recommended. Despite the dryness in July and August, both courses are beautiful, park-like green oases.

Great holiday home, quiet location near the beach.

Spacious holiday home section with three bedrooms and living room with large shaded seating area in the garden. Quietly located on a one-way street, 2 minutes from the beach. Shopping opportunities within walking distance (5 minutes).
The house is well-equipped, nothing is missing. You might want to bring softer pillows as the ones provided are quite compact. The house is well-maintained and clean.

The landlords have put together a very informative brochure in German with shopping, restaurant recommendations, and excursion tips. Beach also suitable for toddlers, as it slopes very gently. Beach with fine sand, no visible debris. The seawater was very clear and clean at the end of September, with a temperature of 23 degrees.

Wonderful family vacation

It was a wonderful time we were able to spend in this amazing house. After visiting here years ago with young children, we rediscovered the villa and the town with our now nearly all grown-up children. This time, we particularly enjoyed using the summer kitchen for communal cooking events. We already miss the sound of the wind rustling through the tall pine trees around the house. A holiday gem that we would love to return to. Thank you very much!

Recommend!

We spent 1 week in this beautiful house. There is nothing missing, it is clean, and the equipment is great. Because the weather was not always good, we could not go to the beach daily. However, there are numerous excursion destinations here even for rainy days. We really liked the helpful tips from the landlords. My parents from Indonesia were surprised that the house remained pleasantly cool even on warm days. We will come back and recommend the "Villa des Pins".

Excellent family accommodation near the beach

We stayed with 6 people in the very well equipped holiday home and didn't miss anything. Located right near the beach, yet quiet, good shopping, nice restaurants nearby, great surroundings to explore and lots of fun on the beach. Everything was there for children and adults. The landlords were very friendly and there was lots of information beforehand. The service on site was perfect (on the second day - a Saturday (!) - a valve in the toilet was defective and was repaired within hours). The house offers enough space to retreat individually and of course to eat together or have a barbecue. The area is of course great - sea, sports, culture, good food, pure relaxation. Great holiday!

Geräumiges Haus mit viel Charme

The "Villa des Pins" is located about 150 m from the beach and about 400 m from the town center. All essential facilities (supermarket, ATM, pharmacy, restaurants, bakery, etc.) are within walking distance within a few minutes. The house is not brand new anymore but this gives it a certain charm. In the spacious garden, which is supplied by an automatic irrigation system, there are beautiful "knotty" trees, palm trees, and shrubs. The outdoor area is equipped with many seating and lounging options (relaxing chairs, sun loungers, porch swing, lounge furniture, large wooden table with bench and chairs), so you can retreat as needed. The dining area is largely covered, allowing you to spend most of your time outdoors in the summer. The highlight is, of course, the summer kitchen, with a sink, power outlets for hot plates, electric frying pan, and more. On the ground floor there is a huge refrigerator and a kitchen buffet with basic equipment. On the upper floor, the villa is equipped with a complete fitted kitchen (with ceramic hob, oven, dishwasher, refrigerator). The equipment includes a wide range of dishes, cutlery, pots, pans, cups, etc. This could feed an entire football team. The living and dining area on the upper floor also has a large wooden table with comfortable wicker chairs and a separate TV corner with a sofa and armchairs. The bathroom with shower (with a proper shower stream!) is separate from the toilet. This is very practical for several people. There is a washing machine in the bathroom. We found the villa in a very clean condition. It is lovingly equipped with many decorative elements, making it very cozy. Here you notice that it is in German ownership. In advance, you receive a detailed description of the house, in which everything is described exactly. The contact with the landlord was very friendly.

Always happy to come back

We were guests at Villa des Pins for the third time, this year with six people, including 4 children aged between 11 and 17. Once again, we had a wonderful time, mainly because of this beautiful, lovingly furnished and well-kept holiday home, from which you can quickly walk to the beach and in a few minutes to shops for daily needs (2 small supermarkets, fruit and vegetable shop, bakeries, pharmacy, ATM, restaurants, etc.). You immediately feel at home in this villa, as if you had arrived at your own place, with the friendly landlords who also use the villa themselves. The equipment leaves nothing to be desired, and as "repeat offenders" that we are, you can notice smaller and larger improvements each time, such as the new bathroom furnishings, a new sofa in the living room, or the additional "lounge corner" on the terrace. With 3 bedrooms, there is comfortable space for six: whether outside on the large terrace area with outdoor kitchen, inside in the cozy dining/living room, or on the balcony with sea view, everyone will find a place to relax. The proximity to the expansive, guarded, and well-maintained beach is unbeatable. Whether you just want to quickly jump into the water without much beach gear, or if you forgot something and need to go back, you will be back "at home" in no time. If you want to engage in (water) sports, there are also plenty of opportunities. A special "highlight" for our daughters this year was the 2-hour guided horse ride into the Garrigue, offered by a riding stable just a few minutes' drive away. Whether cultural activities, such as a visit to Carcassonne, trips to the beautiful La Clape mountains, exploring picturesque vineyards, some of which offer wine tastings and tours, or just relaxing on the nearby beaches, the possibilities are limitless. also within walking distance or a shopping trip in Narbonne - here everyone will find something suitable. Clearly, we have already booked for next year!

Very comfortable holiday home right on the beach.

We, a family of five, spent two wonderful weeks at the end of August-early September at Villa des Pins. The holiday home is spacious and lovingly furnished. We felt very comfortable here and spent many evenings in the garden. There is even a large outdoor kitchen. The beach is only a few minutes' walk away, a real highlight for our children. The surrounding area is beautiful, and we took many day trips, including. to Carcassonne, Gorges du Tarn, Montpellier and to the Cathar castles. With the mix of easy beach vacations and the many exciting excursions, everyone in our family got their money's worth. We really enjoyed our time at Villa des Pins and can highly recommend it. Thanks to the Meub-Knopp family for the many tips even before our arrival.

All good things come in threes ;-)))

We were guests of the Meub-Knopp family for the 7th time now. Four times we resided in the beautiful ground floor Jardin des Pins and three times in the wonderful Villa des Pins. Once again, we felt very, very comfortable in the house. Nothing is lacking! The entire house is furnished with great care. The rooms are all very spacious, the kitchen invites you to cook! You can relax on the terrace. If it gets too hot on the sunny terrace, you will definitely find a shady spot in the well-kept and lovingly landscaped garden. The Hollywood swing was especially popular with us.
Once the children are in bed, you can end the day on the balcony with a good bottle of red wine.
The house is ideal for families with children (who can safely climb stairs), as there is plenty of space to play both inside the house and on the enclosed property. Since we arrived this year with a toddler, the stairs were a challenge for us. When our little one is a bit older and can climb stairs safely, we will gladly come back for the 8th time.

Favorite holiday home for the whole family

This year, we spent our family vacation at Villa des Pins in Narbonne Plage. The tastefully decorated house offers enough space even for families with adult children. Everyone can find a quiet spot in the garden, and if you fancy the sea, the beach is just two minutes away. We were once again completely satisfied and will also spend a 5th vacation there.

Dreamy garden for a siesta.

Once again, we stayed at Villa des Pins in Narbonne Plage. It was lovely! The best part is the garden of the villa, where you can spend your lunch break in the shade during hot weather... lying on the comfortable loungers or swinging on the Hollywood swing. We almost finished reading the entire Jim Knopf book to our children (4 and 7) there. It is fantastic to then be back at the beach in 5 minutes on foot. The apartment is really spacious and yet cozy with a great balcony, from the corners of which you can even see the sea and where you can have a wonderful breakfast. Downstairs, there is a large entrance area, so you don't have to take your sandals and bathing gear upstairs to the apartment, keeping it nice and sand-free, very practical! A great outing was a small boat tour on the canals in the marshland (Electric boat ride in the Marais, near the Narbonne highway entrance, well signposted) with our boys (4 and 7 years old) where we had a lot of fun and were able to observe an animal related to the beaver. Afterwards, right next to it, you could feed goats, wild boars, and other animals with an old baguette that was handed to us for feeding. We also enjoyed Gruissan (the port was great for the kids), Narbonne, and Carcassonne. We would love to come back!

Very nice holiday home, top location

Special holiday home *****

During the autumn holidays/off-season, we spent 2 wonderful weeks in this vacation home. The apartment is on the 1st floor, below is a huge summer terrace where you can truly relax. Everything you need is available. We didn't miss anything.
The contact with the landlords was warm, and we were informed about everything worth knowing, excursion destinations, shopping possibilities, etc. Narbonne-Plage is very pleasant in the autumn. Well-equipped holiday home in an optimal location.

Already in 2014, we spent 2 weeks at Villa des Pins. We liked it so much that we repeated the stay in 2015. The house is well-equipped. We stayed twice with 5 people in the house. Everyone felt comfortable.
We especially liked the summer kitchen on the covered terrace on the ground floor. Here you can spend wonderful summer evenings in good weather.
A great advantage is the proximity to the beach and the shopping street. Both are within walking distance in minutes. We were well prepared and supported by the landlord. An advantage is that there is a contact person on site. The house is highly recommended.

That's it.......

Upfront and without ifs or buts: price and performance are right, no deceptive packaging, an establishment with a personal touch and lovingly designed. 3 bedrooms with ample bed options, especially comfortable. A setting with a spacious atmosphere for simple or extravagant cooking, with sufficient functioning appliances. An offering for every desire. Even in the outdoor area in the garden grounds, the guest will find everything for a drinking, grilling, and chatting session. The lovingly described paths to shopping and sightseeing by the owner are proof of his commitment. There was this short morning walk to the bakery, coming back with warm croissants, then this peace and this view of the sea... magnificent. It's actually not far and therefore invites you to just spontaneously... Big and small find everything they need for relaxation and hanging out in the house and the entire area. We, 3 adults and 1 grandchild (6 years old), were not disappointed, quite the opposite!
A praise to the landlord for the well-kept and fully equipped apartment. The location is fantastic, just a stone's throw from the beach.

Perfect autumn holidays

For a vacation in the autumn break, simply fantastic. As there were days with summer temperatures (25), we could even swim in the sea, which is only a 3-minute walk from the villa. As many visitors have already reported, the villa is perfectly equipped, has a quiet yet centrally located setting. The support beforehand and on-site leaves nothing to be desired. The excursion tips and restaurant recommendations make the stay even easier. For those who want to try land sailing (strand sailing), Narbonne Plage is the perfect place, as this sport is possible here all year round and, after a brief introduction, is not a difficult undertaking. Conclusion: a great vacation in a beautiful villa, with intentions to repeat.

Great holiday in autumn

Very spacious and well-equipped villa, just a few steps from the beach. The weather was still quite good in October, and the mild temperatures even allowed for swimming in the Mediterranean. All shops for daily needs are within walking distance, and weekly markets were still regularly open at that time of year. The "offseason" is noticeable and should be taken into account depending on the preferences of the holidaymakers. The property has a beautiful tree and plant growth, which is almost exceptional in the residential area. The landlord provides numerous restaurant and excursion tips, which are available in the villa. Visits to the many wineries in the La Clape region and indulging in the numerous oyster offerings are highly recommended. Excursions to Gruissan, Narbonne, and Carcassonne, which are a short distance away, are also recommended. The booking process was very straightforward and quick. The landlords are very friendly and helpful.

Extend the summer in October

For the third time in a row, we (2 adults, 2 children aged 15 and 11) decided to enjoy a bit of summer feeling during the autumn holidays. After an intensive search, we struck gold with Villa des Pins. We found everything exactly as described. It was freshly cleaned, all clean and well-maintained, all imaginable kitchen utensils were available, as well as a large selection of wine glasses (which is particularly important in the region). Thanks to the very personal contact with the landlord, we were well informed in advance about excursions in the area, German-speaking contacts for emergencies, good wines, etc., so we could start with a good feeling. We were able to enjoy the proximity to the beach the most, as we were also lucky with the weather: we put on our bathing suits, wrapped a towel around us, and headed straight into the meter-high waves. Marked bike paths along the promenade served as a skate track for our son, so shopping at the bakery was also guaranteed. A day trip to Carcassonne and a bike tour to Narbonne and to Oeil doux were the highlights. We would come back anytime, maybe in summer to try out the summer kitchen or in winter to enjoy the colors of the southern French sky – who knows?

Happy holidays

After spending the last few years vacationing at "Jardin des Pins", this time it was the turn of "Villa des Pins" :-)
Once again, we arrived at an absolutely fantastic holiday home.
It matches all the descriptions from the internet listing.
The equipment is well thought out, nothing is missing! Especially the summer kitchen and the balcony, from where you can see the sea (!!), provided us with special enjoyment here. The care provided by the Meub-Knopp family was excellent once again this time, and there were even a few more tips added. The house is located very quietly, yet all shopping facilities can be easily reached on foot: small supermarket, fruit and vegetable store, and in the morning, especially important for baguettes: the bakery! The proximity to the beach is naturally great, it's hard to beat :-)
Even though we know and have seen many things here already, we spent a wonderful vacation here again in 2014 and we are already looking forward to 2015 :-)

Liebenswertes Haus

A dream holiday. The location of the house, just a few steps from the fantastic beach, couldn't be better, lovingly decorated and very well maintained inside. You can tell that the other tenants of the house must be enthusiastic as well because everyone clearly treats it as if it were their own. Unusual for France is the amazing terrace that provides shade on hot days and allows you to move life outside with the equipped summer kitchen. The landlords are super helpful, very attentive, and completely uncomplicated. For example, if a glass breaks, which can happen to anyone at home, you just replace it and the landlords are satisfied. You can tell that the house is loved.

Erholung pur

We were four (parents and 2 teenagers) staying at the villa for 10 days and had a very relaxing holiday. Even before our arrival, thanks to the many tips for excursions, we were already curious about the region. We were not disappointed. The journey from Toulouse to Narbonne-Plage was already a delight in the beautiful sunshine; the highlight came when driving through the La Clape Massif with the first view of the Mediterranean Sea. The villa also left nothing to be desired; everything you need was available. The terrace with the summer kitchen was great, and we would have liked to use it more. However, the wind was also present during our stay in Narbonne-Plage, so we spent more time on the sheltered balcony (with sea views!). In the town center, there are nice little shops and restaurants, and until April 30th, we had almost everything to ourselves. We got a taste of the season on May 1st. But don't worry: the fine sandy beach is super wide and has a lot of space. At the end of April, the Mediterranean Sea was still quite cold, but the tough ones in our family still went swimming. We went on excursions to Narbonne, Bage, Carcassonne, and Perpignan - all easily accessible and very beautiful. We really liked the entire process from booking to the nice emails with tips about the house, shopping opportunities, and the area, to the return of the keys and deposit refund - everything was totally uncomplicated and smooth - the savoir vivre before and after the holiday.
We will definitely come back!

That's how vacation should be!

The description, the photos, and the other reviews do not promise too much: Villa des Pins is a wonderful holiday home where you can really relax. Well-maintained, clean, well-equipped, beautifully furnished, great location - what more could one ask for? You can tell as soon as you enter the property that the owners have realized a small dream of "savoir vivre" here. The garden as well as the living space are lovingly designed and attention was paid to details such as storage space in the bathroom or sufficient hooks for towels, jackets, etc. - not necessarily found in all vacation homes! Additionally, the landlords and the German-speaking contact on-site were very friendly, and the handling of all formalities went absolutely smoothly. We had a really great vacation with a good mix of excursions into the beautiful and varied surroundings (the landlords give great tips!), relaxation on the fine sandy beach, and good wines on the balcony or terrace. So, this calls for a repeat!

Perfekter Saisonstart

With great anticipation for Southern France and provided with lots of useful information by the landlord, we set off on our journey to Narbonne-Plage in early March. We could see online that Villa des Pins is close to the beach and very nicely furnished. Once there, we had a fantastic time: the city and nature slowly emerged from the winter break, the light was unique, and the first guests arrived. We enjoyed our time in the "Villa", on the beach (which we almost had to ourselves) and in the picturesque small villages in the area. We also took various trips into the beautiful hinterland: to the Cevennes, the Pyrenees, to Perpignan, to Toulouse; the landlord's tips were very helpful there. The kids often didn't want to leave "their villa", we felt very comfortable there from the first moment. Generous, stylish, cheerful! The handling of the formalities with the landlord and local support on-site was also similar. A fully successful holiday!
