Arle is part of the municipality of Grossheide. It is a quiet residential area, near the various Siels in East Frisia.
Whether you want to go to Norddeich, Nessmersiel, Dornumersiel, Bensersiel, etc., it is only a few kilometers to get there.
From the various Siels you can take the corresponding ferry to the East Frisian Islands.
Special trips take you to the seal banks, where you will be informed about the cute animals during guided tours. At the seal station in Norddeich you can see the little pups, which are lovingly raised there until they are allowed to return to freedom in the North Sea.
If you want to go on a mudflat hike, there are experienced mudflat guides at the various sluices!
Nearby there are also bathing lakes, in Tannhausen, where big and small children can enjoy swimming. Dogs also have their own beach in Tannenhausen. If you would like to visit museums, you will find the Tea Museum in Norden, the Moor Museum in Moordorf, and in Jever you can visit the famous brewery. In Emden, the East Frisian State Museum as well as Dat Otto Huus. In Wilhelmshaven, the German Naval Museum. In Leer, the Leeaner Model and Play World. Dörp Museum in Münkeboe. Enercon Experience Center in Aurich, where you can learn about wind power in a playful way. A MUST for those interested in technology! Each of the Siels also has large baths, such as the Ocean Wave in Norddeich or the Nordseetherme in Bensersiel.
The museum railway takes you around the area depending on the schedule, but mostly on weekends.
In Emden you can take a small or large harbor tour.
Aurich is the district town of the district of Aurich, about 20 minutes from Arle. With the historic excursion boat MS Stadt Aurich, you can take tours on the Ems-Jade Canal and discover the East Frisian landscape from the water.
Esens is a small town for strolling and shopping, and this of course also applies to the coastal towns like Greetsiel, Norddeich, Carolinensiel, Schilling, Horumersiel, Hookesiel, etc.
Most of the islands have an airfield, so you can also view the Wadden Sea from above!
Cycling is a big deal in East Frisia. There are 2 bicycles in the garage or, if you wish, you can rent a bicycle in Westerende (at the gas station, about 4 minutes away by car). There are a large number of bike paths; you will find bike maps in the house on the shelf by the TV in the lower apartment.

Why are we already here for the 4th time?
Very quiet location and yet centrally located; the various attractions - beaches, islands, shopping opportunities, museums, etc. - all just a few minutes away by car.
The equipment leaves little to be desired - we just feel comfortable here!
recommend for: holiday with children, holiday with pet, cultural and sightseeing holiday, beach holiday
