Our family-run non-smoking guesthouse is surrounded by meadows and forests in a sunny location where you can find peace and quiet and children can play freely. Experience the most beautiful days of the year in 1 separate **** holiday house with large living room and 2 bedrooms, fitted kitchen, shower, WC, for 2-4 (6) persons. For our guests we have: a terrace with garden swing, garden furniture and barbecue, a car park at the house, children's playground, drinks service, pick-up and drop-off service for bus and train, arrangement of day trips, bicycles and sauna for a fee.

Location and surroundings of object
The district of Holzhau in the municipality of Rechenberg-Bienenmühle lies in and along the valley of the Freiberg Mulde river and is a scattered settlement with lots of woods and meadows. The highest elevation is the Steinkuppe with 806 m and many beautiful views. Holzhau has a good network of hiking trails, the local hiking trail 'Historische Häusertafeln', the hiking trail 'Auf dem Holzweg', the long-distance hiking trails Eisenach-Budapest and the ridge trail Erzgebirge-Vogtland, the long-distance cycling trail Bayreut-Zittau, a scooter and skating trail, the herb trail Holzhau is a skiing area with 2 double ski lifts, 1 children's lift and magic carpet, 1 toboggan run with lift, 80 km of cross-country ski trails and horse-drawn sleigh rides. Holzhau is a good starting point for day and half-day excursions, for example to the Saxon Brewery Museum Rechenberg, Historic Raft House, Wheel House Gallery and Cottage Makers. The toy-making village of Seiffen (20 km) with toy museum; Freiberg (30 km) with Terra Mineralia in Freudenstein Castle, mining museum and cathedral; Altenberg (20 km) with bobsleigh run and health spa; Dresden city of art and culture and Saxon Switzerland (50 km); Czech Republic

Charming holiday room with top facilities, surrounded by pure nature and with perfect service
A big praise and heartfelt thanks to Mrs Glöckner and family for a great country holiday in a top accommodation
We were guests by bike with a toddler in a spacious holiday room. The obliging and friendly hostess, Mrs. Glöckner, has really taken care of everything: well-maintained furnishings, very clean, everything we needed (incl. hairdryer, hand soap, laundry basket with clips, valuable complete children's equipment was provided, even age-appropriate toys and daily little sweet surprises for our son :) ...)
Wi-Fi could be used free of charge and worked perfectly.
We were able to keep our bikes and trailer dry and safe in the garage
We were provided with a varied breakfast every morning at the time of our choice, on Sunday with fresh eggs from our own chickens. Mrs Glöckner was open to our wishes and always approachable. She was happy to help out where she could, even with a car ride to the station or home remedies for aches and pains.
We were given helpful and local tips on excursions and advice on planning trips.
No wishes were left unfulfilled. We all felt at home.
The small, lovingly renovated 3-sided farm is situated above the valley away from noise, surrounded by meadows and with a fantastic panoramic view of the surrounding mountains and forests. I could relax wonderfully on the Hollywood swing and the sun lounger, listen to the crickets and watch the bees in the garden, while my son worked in the sandbox or swung. There is also a small playground with slide and trampoline. There is also a barbecue for guests on the terrace with plenty of seating.
A couple of restaurants are within walking or cycling distance. For shopping and excursions into the surrounding area, it is advisable to bring your own car due to the distances and the hillside location.

Pure relaxation
This holiday home leaves hardly anything to be desired
The accommodation was very clean and very comfortably furnished. The living space is on two levels, unfortunately the terrace is not accessible from the flat, but once around the holiday home.
The landlords are very attentive and always concerned about the well-being of their guests
Here you will find peace and quiet. There are many hiking possibilities, also cross-border hiking trails. Of course, many things can also be explored by bike
There are also plenty of excursion possibilities, so that your holiday should not be boring.
We can only recommend this accommodation.

Very nice accommodation
Very dear host parents, beautiful landscape, not far from Seiffen, a day trip to Prague is recommended, you can eat well, complete relaxation possible.

We, my wife, my dog and I, were pleasantly surprised by the great location, the very friendly landlords and the pleasant tranquility. The house is small but very cozy. (what more could you want) 10 minutes walk away there are two very good dining options. All in all, a very good property for a great hiking holiday. We can definitely recommend it with a clear conscience.
