Take a long walk along the gorgeous shoreline, look for fossil shark teeth or just sit there and relax – having a wonderful time watching the waves. Chances are good you spot a bunch of dolphins!

Villa Happy Gator on Alligator Drive is situated in a quiet residential neighborhood. Our backyard is fenced in and surrounded by lush greenery. This provides wonderful privacy.

The oversized and simply gorgeous pool area is the perfect place to enjoy Florida Life. Chrystal clear water without added chlorine brings the ultimate pleasure during hot and sunny days. During cooler months, the heater ensures that swimming stays a delight. Our sunshelf is a much loved special feature.

Location and surroundings of object

For good reason you decided to spend your vacation in South Venice, a calm and likable community. The unique feature is the proximity to the beaches, with Manasota Beach being only 10 minutes away.

Manasota Beach, Englewood Beach, Caspersen Beach, Venice Beach or Siesta Beach are terrific and renowned beaches around. Did you know Venice is called the “Shark Tooth Capital of the World”? Caspersen and Venice Beach are known for their abundance of fossilized shark teeth. Dig with your hands or use a sieve to sift out these prehistoric fossils.

With Shamrock Park you will have a wonderful community park with walking, jogging and biking trails, tennis courts and a large playground just around the corner. Shamrock Park also connects you to an extensive network of biking paths. In Lemon Bay Preserve, only minutes away from the house, you will enjoy unspoiled nature and – with some luck – meet a bird you will find only in this part of the world: the Florida Scrub Jay!

Golf lovers will be thrilled about the huge selection of top golf courses.

Shopping will be easy with Publix, Walmart Supercenter, a bundle of other shops, restaurants, gas stations, banks etc in a 5-minute ride by car.

Venice is easy accessible at the Tamiami Trail and I75 and also easy to reach from the airports Fort Myers, Tampa, Orlando and Miami. Within a radius of 2 hours you can reach a bundle of attractions like theme parks, shopping malls and outlet centers or nature preserves of unrivalled beauty.

With about 21,000 inhabitants, Venice is a charming small town with typical American residential structure. The crime rate is very low. Venice consists of the districts of Osprey, Laurel, Nokomis, Venice and South Venice and is located about 13 Miles south of Sarasota.
The beaches around South Venice are among the most beautiful in South West Florida and lie virtually on the doorstep of our home, because the drive is mostly only a few minutes. Parking is free at the beaches of Venice Beach and Manasota Key - no longer common in many regions of Florida!

Venice is conveniently located on US 41 (Tamiami Trail) and off the I-75th. So a fast connection is ensured in all directions. The Airports Tampa and Fort Myers are about an hour, Orlando about 2 hours away. From Miami it takes about 3 hours.

In few minutes, you reach large supermarkets such as Walmart and Publix for daily needs. Big malls are located north in Sarasota or south in Port Charlotte, for a day of shopping at an outlet Ellenton outlets in Bradenton (45 minutes north) or Miromar Outlets in Estero (about 1 hour 15 minutes to the south) are perfect.

Florida is Golfer's Heaven. The selection of good courses is great, playing amidst tropical vegetation is pure relaxation. In Venice alone, there are about 20 golf courses, more than 10 public spaces, which are all within a short drive from your vacation home.

For nature lovers, Sarasota County around Venice is a paradise. There are numerous ways to experience the original Florida with its unparalleled wildlife. Far from the beaten track you find fascinating landscapes that are best explored on foot or by bike. With a little luck you will spot a Blue Scrub Jay, a bird species only found in Florida. A lot of them live in Lemon Bay Preserve, at walking distance to our Villa Happy Gator.

Less than 2 miles away from our house is Shamrock Park, a fantastic city park with a trail system for walking, jogging and biking within a beautiful Florida vegetation, tennis courts and a large playground. It is situated right at the Venetian Waterway Park, which stretches along the Intercoastal Waterway.

THAT is holiday and relaxation!

We had a great stay at Villa Happy Gator and are already booking again for 2020! The very well equipped, very clean house in a great location and the private beach of Venice (ferry within a few days drive) were just right for us to relax after the tour! We especially enjoyed the pool and the lounge furniture on the terrace, pure relaxation! Many thanks to Birgit for the nice and helpful contact before and after the trip!

Perfect vacation from the first to the last day

Traumhaftes Ferienhaus

Fantastic holiday home that we really liked. It leaves nothing to be desired, all very bright and modernly furnished. Beautiful pool, fast WiFi, this house has it all. And as a bonus, there is a small private beach reached by ferry. Thank you, we will gladly come back.

Hello, clean, nice, great location! The planning alone was great - Birgit gave us so many tips and tricks - even when we were there, we could bombard her with questions every day. :-) We found the house absolutely well maintained and clean. I am very particular about hygiene and cleanliness - but here I really had no problem snuggling into the freshly washed bed. The location is simply great - within 10-20 minutes, you can reach so many different beaches . . . small private natural beaches or livelier ones like Siesta Key. Snorkeling, swimming, canoeing . . . Shopping. . . But also culinary delights were not neglected. . . especially for lovers of Italian cuisine, Venice is optimal . . . . but also small and fine seafood restaurants and the typical American restaurants were not missing! ! I can hardly wait until our holiday is approved so that we can book again right away! Thanks There are still landlords here who really value their house.

We will definitely come back....

It all started with the booking, I had a very nice conversation with the owner and we quickly agreed. The lead-up to our holiday was also sensational, we received tips and addresses of all kinds (attractions, restaurants, beaches, or where to shop best). So we lacked nothing and the vacation could begin. When we (two couples, four adults) arrived at the house, we were simply thrilled. Upon arrival we were greeted with wine and nuts, and also received a call from the very nice on-site property manager (René). Not only were all needs anticipated (e.g., everything for the beach, 4 bicycles, or pool toys) and carefully described, but the house itself is also just so beautiful. We arrived, saw, and immediately felt as comfortable as at home (just with good weather and our own pool).

A Perfect Getaway!

This was an absolutely perfect getaway--in absolutely every respect. The home is completely accommodating; thoughtfully welcoming, and with such attentiveness to the countless nuances of the household which could so easily be overlooked when traveling--there was not a single comfort or necessity we were without during our stay. Birgit and Uwe have provided a foothold to another world. The location is ideal—off the thoroughfare and close to both the wild and the civilized; a bike ride and a private ferry across the bay to an unspoiled idyllic gulf beach, and a minute by car to every domestic item and service South Venice Beach has to offer—and convenient to so many options to explore: a multitude of parks and natural areas and open spaces within minutes, as well as dining, nightlife, and shopping experiences close by in every direction. And we were fortunate to have wonderful weather in Florida all week: mild temperatures, low humidity, a gentle breeze, and occasional clouds with clear skies. The visibility was amazing. And the pool! Wonderful! Our stay at Villa Happy Gator was an unforgettable experience.

Lovely Pool Villa says it all

The owners have put a lot of effort and thought to make our stay very very enjoyable. The kitchen was well stocked, the pool area had numerouus amenities and for us, it seemed like it was ours, from parking the car in the garage to doing laundry and grilling on the barbecue. The entire villa was clean and comfortable. The neighborhood was quiet and private also In addition, Birgit and her team were responsive to any questions and were most informative about the area or any concerns that we had. If we have the opportunity to return to the Venice area, we will without hesitation stay at the Gator- Villa.

Dream house in a great location.

We (2 adults, 2 teenagers) stayed in this beautiful holiday home for 9 days. The motto here is really: Come in and feel good! The interior is tastefully decorated and absolutely nothing is missing. The outdoor area is fantastic. The pool is beautifully maintained and was used extensively. The contact with the landlord was simply great. In advance, we were provided with information, so the anticipation grew continuously. And during our stay, we felt well taken care of all around. Our conclusion: We will definitely come back and can recommend this great holiday home to everyone 100%.

Pure relaxation!

The house offers everything your heart desires. It is very well-maintained, optimally cared for, and the on-site support is simply great and uncomplicated. The descriptions of the house were accurate and we had a sensational vacation. The room layout is well thought out, easy-care tiles on all floors, and very tasteful furnishings with attention to detail. The equipment leaves nothing to be desired, and the XXL pool area was our favorite spot. Only the bed was too soft for us, but that is a matter of taste. The contact with the landlady - both before booking and after departure - was always very nice, reliable, and professional. This is how holidays are a lot of fun! We will definitely book this house again!

Beautiful house, great vacation, pure relaxation.

VILLA GATOR PARADISE

My family and I just recently stayed at Villa Gator for a week-long family vacation and we are already wishing to go back! The villa was everything we were looking for and more. The house was new, clean, and fully furnished with all home comforts. It was located an easy 5-minute car ride to the beach ferry. The ferry was another easy 5-minute ride to one of the most beautiful beaches we have seen. The beach was private to only South Venice residents with no condos, tourist traps, etc. you felt like you had stumbled upon a secret paradise. my children enjoyed finding sharks teeth, fishing and swimming in the pool back at the house. we took day trips to Shamrock Park, Myakka State Park, and Sarasota National Cemetery. we enjoyed sunsets at nearby Venice Pier and enjoyed umbrella drinks at Sharkeys. the owner Birgit was so accommodating with our questions and stay, as was the home manager Jasmine. we felt blessed to vacation in this home and are hoping to return again next summer!

A new Pearl in Venice

We visited Venice 8 years ago and intended to explore the area further, but the villa was so peaceful and relaxing that we never strayed far. The villa is newly built and beautifully furnished to a high standard. The master bed is spacious and very comfortable. Birgit has thought of everything you might need for a comfortable stay. The pool area is delightful, with the pool sloping from both ends to the center, making it perfect for playing pool volleyball. The trees at the rear are full of colorful and vocal birds, including "Cyril the squirrel," who walks the telephone and power lines daily. The shaded lounge area is fantastic on a hot sunny day when needing to cool down. Shops such as Publix and Walmart are just a few minutes away, and it's only a 10-minute ride into town to some fantastic restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here at Alligator Drive and are sure you won't be disappointed staying here!

Great house - great pool - great area!

This house is a gem – from the outside and especially from the inside. Rarely have we felt so comfortable in a holiday accommodation. The tasteful decor – bright and friendly – and above all the great pool area impressed us very much. The contact with the landlord and the property management was also very positive. We will come back!

Wunderschönes Haus

The villa is furnished very tastefully and with a lot of love. Especially the pool area is fantastic. Due to its perfect orientation, the pool has sun all day long, and on the terrace, you can also find enough shady spots. Thanks to the great grill, comfortable lounge area, and the charming LED pool lighting, we spent beautiful evenings outside with bird chirping and cricket sounds. Everything is provided for beach excursions, and there is also plenty of pool and beach toys for children.

The location of the house is also good, central yet in a quiet residential area, and supermarkets (e.g., Walmart, Publix) and various beaches can be reached in a few minutes by car. We were also thrilled with the natural "private beach" accessible with the complimentary ferry pass, as it turned out to be a real treasure trove for the famous fossilized shark teeth. The on-site support by the property management was friendly, nice, and very professional. We would like to thank Mrs. Laniewski once again for the absolutely reliable and smooth handling of the rental formalities and the very friendly contact before, during, and even after our stay.

Conclusion: Highly recommended in every way.

We have been travelling to the USA for 30 years now. I love this country with all its different people, landscapes and cultures. The first time I visited Florida, I was fascinated by the tropical nature with its wonderful flora and fauna. I was particularly taken with the southwestern Gulf Coast. We already had the pleasure of staying in many holiday homes as guests - and my wish became stronger and stronger: I would like to have one of my own! We found the perfect place in Venice. Lots of nature all around, quiet and yet central to many attractions. And we dared it: our holiday home adventure!
