quiet and dreamy area

We had a dream vacation in Montescudaio. The contact with the hosts was very friendly and always possible. Mrs. Serenella Tiede gives valuable tips, whether for excursion destinations or ingredients for the typical Tuscan bruschetta. The accommodation offers everything one needs for a relaxing vacation. The holiday home is quietly located, and from the terrace, you have a wonderful view of the surroundings. The complex is clean, and we gladly used the community pool for a refreshment. The village offers everything important for daily life - a bakery with a café, a butcher, a pizzeria, an ice cream shop, a tobacco shop, and also a jewelry store can be found there. Montescudaio is a charming, picturesque village, nestled in a beautiful landscape. The coast is just a few kilometers away, and there are also supermarkets in the nearby area. The cities of Pisa and Florence can also be reached in about 1-2 hours by car. Those who prefer a quieter atmosphere will find it perfect there. We really enjoyed our time and were completely satisfied. Thank you very much.

Beautiful holiday in Tuscany

We were three people and stayed for two weeks in the holiday apartment of the Tiede family and felt very comfortable.
We particularly liked the location of the apartment in the beautiful Tuscan countryside on the edge of the mountain village of Montescudaio and close to the seaside resort of Marina di Cecina. From the holiday apartment, we could easily visit the cities of Pisa, Lucca, Volterra, San Gimignano, and Siena by car. Excursions by car, bicycle, or on foot in the surrounding area are just as rewarding to discover other smaller towns and enjoy the beautiful landscape.
The holiday apartment is very well equipped and clean, ensuring relaxation in the apartment, on the terrace, or by the pool.
Among the amenities of the holiday apartment are the extensive information material and tips for excursions, shopping, and restaurants. Family Tiede ensured a smooth handover of the apartment with good organization. They were reachable at all times before and during the stay. We recommend the apartment!

Relaxing vacation with a great backdrop.

We really liked the location of the holiday apartment. At any time of the day, we had wonderful views from the terrace, whether it was the dawn in the morning or the moonrise (full moon) over the hills of the neighboring village in the evening. The apartment is fully sufficient for 2 people. The equipment with dishes and everything else needed is plentiful. We enjoyed using the pool and appreciated the helpful tips and information provided by Mr. and Mrs. Tiede. Thank you once again! We explored the area around Montescudaio with our E-Bikes and discovered many beautiful routes and picturesque mountain villages. I also want to mention the restaurant "Bardovino," which is within walking distance from the apartment: we ate there frequently and always enjoyed the food. The warmth of the service was exceptional. Perfect holiday accommodation in Montescudaio near Cecina.

We stayed in this vacation apartment with our children (9 and 6 years old) in the summer of 2023 and we had a wonderful time! The apartment leaves nothing to be desired for our taste. Everything is available and you can tell that the owners care very much about the well-being of their guests. A special highlight is the pool located directly at the house, which we enjoyed very much. The apartment is air-conditioned and equipped with a fully functioning kitchen. There are mosquito nets over the beds, which ensured quiet and undisturbed nights. The owners gave us many good tips for excursions, dining, the country, and the people, etc. The entire process from booking to departure was professional and friendly. Family with 2-year-old child: great!

After a water-rich journey, the arrival was like in paradise. It's about a quiet facility, in an honest environment with fireflies and cicadas. It's about a very well-kept Tuscan apartment where there was and could have been EVERYTHING we needed and used! We also received valuable tips in advance in writing and orally. A generously equipped kitchen, including a Tuscan recipe book (and addresses for procurement), ensures an immediately relaxing feeling of "being at home" on the terrace with a surprise gift from "Rosso di Montescudaio". Now I can recommend it, gladly again!

The beautiful beaches by the sea are about 15 km away; very interesting cities such as Volterra, Siena, Pisa and Florence can be reached on day trips.

Again and again with pleasure

We stayed in the holiday flat of Fam Serenella-Tiede for the second time. We were completely satisfied! The cleanliness and very good furnishings of the flat, the very nice contact with the landlords, the great location not far from the romantic village "Montescudaio", .... should be emphasised. Even in the year of Corona we felt well taken care of, as the flat is a safe retreat.

Holiday

It was a very nice holiday in a really well-equipped flat. The beach is also close by, as are towns worth visiting such as Volterra. For day trips to e.g. Pisa or Florence, it is recommended to drive.
From the flat, you can also take a nice walk in the evening towards the church of Santa Maria Assunta and enjoy the beautiful evening atmosphere.

Another wonderful vacation!

For the second year in a row, we had a great family vacation (2 adults and 2 children, 6 and 15 years old) in this charming village. Once again, we thoroughly enjoyed the perfectly furnished apartment. Due to COVID-19, we unfortunately couldn't use the pool this summer. This wasn't too bad though, as we had more time to visit the Tuscan coast and coves. Communication with the owners is simply excellent! Great holiday flat in the Tuscan countryside

The flat is located in a well-kept complex with a view of the Tuscan countryside and the hill of Montescudaio. The terrace offers plenty of space where you can enjoy breakfast as well as the warm summer nights. If you want to spend your holiday at the beach, you can reach the beautiful beaches at Cecina and Vada by car in a good 20 minutes. The old Tuscan towns of Volterra, San Gimignano and Siena are also easy to reach from Montescudaio.

Great holiday - welcoming landlords. Would book again anytime.

We (53+56) had 2 wonderful weeks in Montescudaio. The lovingly furnished holiday apartment truly lacked nothing! When we were not exploring the beautiful area, we could comfortably relax on the terrace and let our gaze wander. We enjoyed using the well-maintained pool of the complex. Thanks to the many great tips from the Tiede couple, we quickly found our way around the area. We loved the nearby beaches (without mass tourism) behind the pine forests of Cecina. The "white beaches of Vada" were also quickly found thanks to the description provided by our hosts. We are happy to recommend this vacation in Montescudaio.

The vacation in this holiday apartment was awesome. The apartment is perfectly equipped and very cozy. In front of the terrace, a fantastic panorama of Tuscany spreads out. This view of the greenery and the sea gives the person a real holiday feeling. The adjacent swimming pool provided cooling on hot days. Montescudaio is a wonderful charming town. The hosts enriched our visit with an excellent array of various tips. Starting from the best ice cream, the cheapest gas stations, to gourmet restaurants, and especially interesting events in Montescudaio and the surrounding area. For example, we were able to participate in a unique medieval festival in Volterra or try local delicacies at the weekly market in Cecina. Just wonderful! Thank you very much!

Beautiful facility in an idyllic setting

The holiday apartment is located in a beautiful small residential complex with very pleasant residents. From here, you can easily go on excursions in various directions, although the routes can be somewhat long depending on the destination. Holiday at its best

My wife and I, both over 50, enjoyed a wonderful holiday.
The complex is a very nice haven of peace and offer everything you need. The flat is very well equipped and furnished with attention to detail. Montescudaio itself is an idyllic place, situated at an altitude of just under 200 m, so that you have a wonderful view of the sea from above. The restaurants in the village are all recommendable.
For us, it was a great starting point for all our activities in the region. Whether to the sea in Cecina, to Pisa, Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, Bolgheri, Livorno, Volterra or Lucca, one place is more beautiful than the other. And the special thing is: the landlords, Mrs. and Mr. Tiede, have their recommendations for all the places and sights, which we were able to use perfectly. We visited some of the recommended restaurants and were always well advised! All in all, an unforgettable holiday and highly recommended!

Pure relaxation from day 1

We spent our vacation for the second time in the beautiful holiday apartment of Mrs. Tiede. It feels like living in your own house, with no wishes left unfulfilled. It is perfectly and attractively equipped, well-maintained, and clean. Breakfast and dinner on the large private terrace, and if needed, good restaurants are located nearby. The landscape around the village of Montescudaio is beautiful, with a magnificent view of the countryside and the sea. Beach lovers will enjoy this region just as much as those who prefer sightseeing. Not only the well-known larger cities are worth a visit, but also many small towns with a medieval town center. The vacation rental is an ideal starting point for exploring. As we are no longer restricted to school holidays, we like to spend our vacation in the second half of September. Perfect for those who still want to sunbathe on the beach and swim in the sea and also have a desire for some sightseeing trips. We, two adults and two children, spent two wonderful weeks in this great apartment. The equipment of the apartment is exemplary - there really was nothing missing. The kitchen is equipped with plenty of dishes, cutlery, pots, kitchen appliances, etc. Everything is very clean and well-maintained. We especially liked the beautiful terrace, which can be considered as an additional room in the summer. We also enjoyed using the well-kept pool very much. Before the holiday, we were already very impressed by the many tips and information as well as the telephone contact. We were fortunate to personally meet Mrs. and Mr. Tiede on site. We came to Montescudaio for the fourth time, booked with the Tiede couple for the first time, and were very satisfied with our choice. A fantastic view from the terrace. Pure Tuscany. . . A beautiful pool, which we almost always had to ourselves, despite the high season. The apartment was fully equipped, we didn't miss anything, everything was taken care of as if at home. The town center can be reached on foot in about 10 minutes (uphill!), where you can get everything for your daily needs. There are a lot of good restaurants in the area.
The beach in Vada (Spiaggie Bianche) can be reached by car in about 30 minutes. It is a free beach with beautiful white sand and Caribbean blue sea.
From our point of view, the perfect location in Tuscany if you are also a lover of the sea, like us.
The area is also a good starting point for countless excursions in the surroundings: Pisa, Lucca, Volterra, San Gimignano, Florence,... Our hosts gave us a lot of tips, and although we were already familiar with some things, we were able to discover many new things, for which we are very grateful. Overall, a successful holiday. Vacation from the beginning

Nice clean holiday apartment decorated with attention to detail. Very good advance and on-site information that enabled a holiday from the beginning. Tips on culture, country, and people from the landlord summarized in writing and from the literature available in the house. Lovingly elaborated shopping tips, as well as information on local and more extensive gastronomy. Listed are both inexpensive and medium- to high-priced restaurants with well-made quality assessments. What we particularly liked compared to previously rented holiday homes were the many little things that make life easier and saved valuable relaxation time. Not just the grill, but also the charcoal and lighter; not just the bicycle, but also the pump and puncture repair kit. The first aid kit, tools, and firewood. The nutmeg, but also the nutmeg grater. A variety of spices, vinegar, and oil. Upon arrival, there were fruits, vegetables, and wine, along with short user instructions for the abundance of kitchen appliances, entertainment electronics, and facilities. Except for the daily groceries, no special purchases were needed as everything was in the apartment.
The scenic location, good weather, and clean pool added positively to the holiday.

Tuscany vacation, as it should be!

Very nice holiday apartment in a well-kept complex with a pool. Everything you need is available in the apartment. We (2 adults + 2 children) really didn't miss anything. We rarely used the pool because it was too deep for our little children to just splash around in. But everything is very clean and perfect for swimming and relaxing on the ample sun loungers. The center of the idyllic village of Montescudaio is about. 5-10 minutes walk up the hill, easily accessible. Here you can find everything for your daily needs: bakery, butcher, small grocery store, etc. - typically Tuscan and not at all touristy. For larger shopping, it is recommended to drive to Cecina - tips on where to shop best are provided in advance by the landlords (more on that later). Our highlights were Montescudaio and its surroundings, the terrace overlooking the town and the sea, as well as the free beaches south of Cecina Mare (about 25 minutes away by car).

For us, this is how a Tuscany vacation should be! The landlords are incredibly dedicated: With many tips and information about the apartment, surroundings, and excursions provided by mail and very nice, personal phone calls, they ensure that the holiday begins before the actual arrival. We tried some of the suggested restaurants, events, and excursions and were never disappointed. Even for the journey there, they had a suggestion of where we could have a stopover and arranged the booking - everything worked out perfectly.

The vacation rental and the town of Montescudaio are beautifully situated. It is an ideal starting point for numerous tours. The vacation rental is well-equipped, and the landlords provide many tips for everyone. After five years in a row, we can only recommend this destination.

Unser Urlaub

We enjoyed a one-week family vacation here at short notice. Everything worked out well thanks to the prompt sending of the documents. Accommodation with excellent amenities as promised. The tips sent beforehand are very nice and helpful. There are also little notes left in the house. We had enough space for 4 people. The beaches are easily accessible by car and very beautiful. Those who like free beaches will find several great spots here. The small village of Montescudaio is truly delightful. It was very beautiful. Highly recommended.

Great and relaxed holiday in Montescudaio

Together with three friends, we spent a fantastic and relaxed week in Montescudaio. The apartment is very nice and superbly equipped, the terrace with great views and the pool were our highlights. The only downside was the lack of Wi-Fi. This could have been helpful but, on the other hand, it was very relaxing to escape the internet for a week ;). The bus connections from Cecina to Montescudaio are somewhat irregular but with good planning not a problem. Having a car makes a lot of sense here. There is sufficient parking at the apartment.

We appreciated the many tips from Mr. and Mrs. Tiede, which allowed us to experience events that are not very touristy. Thank you very much for this! We could contact them at any time with questions. In particular, the white Caribbean beaches of Vada captivated us! I can only recommend this vacation rental.

The vacation rental is located very nicely and quietly, overlooking the sea. The town center of Montescudaio, with small shops and nice restaurants, is only a few minutes' walk away. The apartment is decorated very tastefully. Everything has been thought of in terms of amenities. The landlord is very dedicated. Everything worked perfectly. It was a very nice vacation.
