We were in the vacation apartment Star Dream. Cleanliness and amenities were excellent. Nothing was missing. Personal contact is possible at any time (the landlords live in the house). Very nice and accommodating welcome, even the luggage was brought into the apartment. Bread roll service and towel change complete everything. We felt very comfortable.

Vacation in the High Black Forest

We were warmly welcomed.
The location is wonderfully quiet.
Public transport (bus) is nearby. Many attractions can be reached by car. Various hikes can be done right outside the door or you can also ride a bike. Thank you very much for the lovely time.

Feeling good is the program.

We have been vacationing in holiday apartments for many years, this time in the apartment Sternenzauber. The amenities, cleanliness, and tranquility there are incredibly good. Extremely nice and helpful landlords (the Wehrle family) and last but not least the great bread roll service provided us with an excellent feel-good atmosphere.
Finally, the location of Breitnau is excellent as a starting point for activities (e.g. Titisee, Schluchsee, Ravennaschlucht, Todtnau waterfalls). We had a relaxing vacation and will definitely come back.

Perfect for Us

We were looking for a comfortable, spacious apartment in a secluded, rural setting for a week's spiritual retreat and a bit of hiking, and this fitted the bill perfectly. The apartment is large, modern and very well equipped; the bed was large and comfortable and there was plenty of room to chill, read, watch TV and generally relax. Our hostess was as charming and helpful as usual without being intrusive.
There are good views from the long balcony of the surrounding mountains. The village is quiet and peaceful, situated as it is high up in the Black Forest mountains among the fields, woods and local mountaintops. It well suited for hiking the area, but it is not far from the small town of Hinterzarten with its hotels, shops and restaurants. The town has a railway connexion to the city of Freiburg, half an hour down the scenic mountain railway, a ride which is free with your guest card.

Winter vacation

We have been to Haus Erika several times, this time over Christmas and New Year's, and once again, we really enjoyed our stay there. Our vacation apartment Heimatglück was beautifully decorated for Christmas and the apartment also has a lovely atmosphere that makes you feel good. It is lovingly equipped with everything you need. Mr. and Mrs. Wehrle always strive to make their guests' experience as enjoyable as possible, and they succeeded once again for us. We are already looking forward to August when we will return.

We spent our vacation in the Star Dream. Great apartment, super furnishings, quiet location, relaxed nights under the starry sky... The house is very central in the middle of the village. We could start our hikes and bike tours right from the house. With the guest card, all buses and trains were included. The landlords are accommodating and very, very friendly. This is how one wishes for a vacation in the Black Forest. We gladly recommend the Erika house and will definitely return! Best regards to the Wehrle family :-)

On the occasion of my daughter's wedding, we spent 1 week in the Haus Erika. The young host family welcomed us very kindly. The apartment is clean, beautiful, and (like the entire house) lovingly decorated. The property is surrounded by a beautiful garden. From here, you can quickly reach the Titisee and other interesting places. Breitnau itself offers a wonderful view of the Feldberg, etc. A place, a holiday apartment to feel good in. Worth a vacation?

The house Erika is located in a very idyllic setting. The ground floor apartment is perfect for two people.
The apartment is clean, well-maintained and really perfectly equipped. You actually don't have to bring anything from home, as all appliances and accessories, whether kitchen, bathroom or household, are available and also clean. We have never seen this in a vacation rental before.
The landlords are very nice and you would love to come back.
We can only say positive things. The apartment is highly recommended.

From the first day on we were able to literally enjoy the excellently equipped apartment. Beautifully situated, in the middle of Breitnau. A beautiful holiday resort in the Hochschwarzwald.

My wife and I enjoyed a very nice week in the FW Heimatglück.
The flat is very structurally furnished, very clean and everything is in order.
The house is in a quiet location, so you can sleep undisturbed at night with the windows open.
The hosts are very friendly, and have an open ear for all questions.

Cozy, clean vacation apartment - Unique Christmas market in Ravenna Gorge.

First and foremost: clear recommendation for anyone planning a vacation in the Black Forest!
We had a great time at Ferienhaus Erika. The apartment was superbly equipped. The beds were extremely comfortable, the furnishings were of high quality, there was a large sofa, and the kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed. The house and the vacation apartment were extremely well-maintained and very clean. Beautiful and loving decorations throughout the house. Great service from the Wehrle family before and during our stay. We miss the delicious bread rolls. ;-) Super practical: Wallbox for charging electric vehicles.
As hikers, we started beautiful tours directly from the house. With the tourist card, we could use all means of transportation without paying extra. If there is enough snow, the cross-country ski trail is also within walking distance.
For all guests during the Christmas season, we definitely recommend the great and atmospheric Christmas market in Ravenna Gorge. Visiting the Christmas market in the snow gave our vacation the perfect touch for a perfect Advent vacation.
We would love to come back.

We booked the flat "Sternentraum" and are thrilled with the flat and the landlords. The flat is extraordinarily beautiful, cosy and perfectly furnished and designed. Great Apartment in the Mountains

The location is a mountain farming village in the Black Forest surrounding by fields, forests and rolling countryside. The area is great for hiking, being crisscrossed by a network of well signed trails and the popular lake of Titisee is nearby. There is a good public transport network which may be used free with your guest card and the city of Freiburg is about 40 minutes drive away.

The apartment was large, well appointed, clean and comfortable with the bedroom and bathroom separated from the kitchen/diner and living area. We had a balcony with views of the village and countryside. Our hosts were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. We would definitely go back.

we rented the "Eulenstube" in Haus Erika for 10 days. An all-round success. Everything was spotlessly clean, the landlords are extremely friendly and helpful, and everything was available, from a laundry service to a drinks station in the cellar. We felt very comfortable right away
The village of Breitnau is also very nice, there is even a small swimming pool. It is also a good starting point for a variety of hikes.

We have never had a vacation rental that was so tastefully decorated, super clean, and perfectly equipped. From the very first hour, we felt comfortable. The landlords have thought of everything. We spent 1 week at Haus Erika in the beautiful holiday apartment Blumenzauber. Very cozy, very clean, everything you need for a vacation is available. A nice terrace, towel change service, the Wehrle family has really thought of everything. The friendly hosts are very accommodating and helpful, we immediately felt very comfortable in our temporary home! The morning bread service and the welcoming drink station in the cellar are great. Breitnau is a cozy village where you can relax and still have great excursion destinations nearby. Whether by the Konus Card or by car, both are possible. From Haus Erila, you can start beautiful hikes directly. We say thank you for the wonderful days, we will definitely come back!

Detailed instruction in -coronavirus-appropriate- handling of the vacation rental. Size, location, equipment, and comfort were absolutely top. A welcome basket with beer and sparkling water. Very good beds, excellent mattresses, good quality duvets. Kitchen comfortably furnished, with dishwasher. Bathroom with shower very hygienically clean. Very good communication with Mrs. Wehrle. In conclusion: In the apartment, you have everything you need in a household. We had a very nice holiday and we will come back in the autumn if we stay healthy. Not the last time there

This house stands out in many ways. The friendly hosts, the cleanliness and high quality of the apartment, the location, etc. Anyone looking to have a nice vacation in the Southern Black Forest should remember this address. Everything gets 5 stars. Very, very nice family. Had a great time. Especially the beds and mattress were the best I've ever experienced. Great connection with the bus and then the train. With the guest card, you can use it extensively without any costs in the large surrounding area. You hardly need the car at all. Small shop in the village that has a really wide selection, so you don't need the car there either. Absolutely nothing to complain about. You can use this vacation rental for many activities. For us, it was ideal for hiking and cycling, but you can certainly use it for everything, including beach vacations.

Vacation rentals are often a matter of luck. This one was a real stroke of luck. Fully equipped, clean, everything worked. There was even a hook for the washcloth in the shower. The landlords were very friendly.

We felt very comfortable in the apartment Heimatglück: well equipped, very clean and well maintained, especially in the current special time of the pandemic, a very important aspect. The hosts are very warm and helpful, we especially liked the folder with hiking suggestions and the many different hiking trails right from the front door. A completely successful holiday.

Mitten im Hochschwarzwald

Very nice apartment for 2 people. We stayed there for two weeks on vacation, did a lot of hiking, but also visited some interesting places in the area. The Konus card (ticket for all public transportation) made a car unnecessary. Very lovely landlords. We didn't miss anything during our stay.

A place to feel good.

Vacation is really fun here. You feel well taken care of in this house. Very nice, super cozy vacation apartment. We stayed in the "Heimatglück" apartment. The Wehrle family are very nice and sympathetic people. In the nearby and wider area, there are plenty of paths for cyclists and hikers, there is something for everyone. Beautiful landscape with fantastic panoramic views over the southern Black Forest. For those who want to spend a beautiful holiday in the Black Forest, the "Erika" house is highly recommended!

Sweet apartment with everything your heart desires.

For our hiking holiday, we rented the vacation apartment "Eulenstube" for two people. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed and received some initial tips for the area. Cleanliness is highly valued throughout the entire house and was reflected in our apartment as well. Additionally, the kitchen and the sleeping/living area were equipped with everything we needed. Thanks to the daily bread delivery service in the morning, we were well taken care of and could start the day relaxed. The location is ideal as a starting point for activities. Therefore, we can highly recommend Haus Erika!

If you want to spend a few relaxing days in an absolutely quiet location, this is the right place for you. The "Blumenzauber" apartment is located in the basement of the holiday home and is fully equipped. The excellent service of the attentive and nice hosts makes the holiday perfect. A good starting point for hiking and sightseeing!

Traumlage

We were able to spend 9 beautiful days in the apartment "Sternentraum". The apartment is fully equipped, beautifully furnished, and cozy. The village Breitnau is very quiet, with excellent accessibility by car, bus, and train. We already miss having breakfast on the balcony. We will definitely come back!

Toller Urlaub

Perfectly equipped accommodation in a quiet location. Very good transport connections and excellent as a starting point for activities (hiking, swimming, sightseeing). Very friendly and helpful landlords, who also offer additional services (e.g. bread rolls). We definitely want to come back!

very beautiful

We spent 2 wonderful weeks in Breitnau, despite not always having sunshine. Cycling tours (even without an electric drive) and hikes were easily possible. The vacation rental is well-equipped, and we felt very comfortable. We would love to come back, thanks to the friendly landlords.
