In the garden there is a small lawn for sunbathing as well as a beach chair, garden furniture with garden grill.
As the region is a true biker's paradise, two bicycles are of course at your disposal.

Location and surroundings of object
Our holiday home is located in the idyllic artists' village of Ferch. Just outside Potsdam and Berlin.
The house is located in a settlement in the forest, approx. 1.5 km from Lake Schwielow. Ferch is located southwest about 13 km from Potsdam and about 35 km from Berlin.
Visit the bonsai garden or the museum of the Havelländische Malerkolonie. You can indulge in culinary delights dirakt at the Schwielowsee in the Landhaus Ferch. In about 15 minutes by bike you can reach the sea buckthorn farm with its specialities. The old town of Werder is also worth a visit. There are numerous shopping opportunities in Werder.

Recreation in the Forest
Even after 12 years, we enjoy coming to the holiday home of the Frommherz family. Quiet location - therefore a guaranteed break from everyday life. It's great that firewood is always available to make it cozy. Functional and sufficient equipment - for us, the motto "less is more" is well implemented. Good accessibility due to proximity to the highway. Potsdam can be reached in a maximum of 30 minutes. Arrival by train for visitors is also guaranteed hourly. We are happy to come for the 13th time.

Super stay
It was a very nice holiday. The communication with the landlord was very friendly and uncomplicated. The house is not only nicely furnished but also equipped with everything it needs. Clean, Wi-Fi works, great location right in the woods and a short walk to the water. Simply perfect! We would love to come back and can wholeheartedly recommend the house.

Family vacation in Ferch at Schwielowsee
– Perfect holiday home for families!
Our stay at the Schwielowsee holiday house from September 29 to October 5, 2024, was simply fantastic and met all our expectations! We (two adults and two small children) felt comfortable from the very first minute.
The holiday house is a gem: modern, cozy, and with a perfect layout for families. It offers everything you need for a relaxing, quiet vacation. Contrary to previous evaluations, the kitchen was in excellent condition. The equipment left nothing to be desired.
The location of the house is beautifully quiet, situated in the forest. Ideal for families with children who want to play outside in nature. At the same time, it is a perfect starting point for numerous activities in the area. We went on great excursions: a boat trip on the Schwielowsee, hikes through the beautiful nature of the Havelland landscape, and a visit to charming Potsdam, which is just a stone's throw away. Our children were especially thrilled by a trip to the Beelitz-Heilstätten treetop walkway, which was a highlight for both little and big explorers.
After our activities, it was always wonderful to return to the holiday home and enjoy the peace and quiet. We can highly recommend the holiday home Schwielowsee – whether for families, couples, or friends looking for a relaxing yet varied vacation. We will definitely come back!

Our subjective perception and our personal non-identifiable opinion.
The house is beautifully located away from everything, yet the highway is CLEARLY audible. During rush hour, it measures 55 to 60 decibels. (measured by us with a mobile phone) Furthermore, the house was unfortunately not properly cleaned when we first entered it.
-Terrace full of leaves and cobwebs
-Entrance door dirty from the inside
-Cobwebs included. the associated spiders in the living room next to the sofa, in the kitchen next to the sideboard, in the children's room under the beds, and in the bedroom under the bed.
-The windows where the reading chair is located were covered on the inside with marks from an animal's nose.
-All pots in the kitchen were dirty.
-The oven, or rather its door, was heavily soiled.
-The floor in the kitchen was sticky.
-It was clear that under all the beds had not been vacuumed. (or at least swept)
-The outdoor area was unfortunately not well maintained.
Additionally, there were functional deficiencies:
-The towel holder in the bathroom was defective.
-The shutters did not function properly in some areas.
-The stairs to the terrace had damaged tiles. (pointed edges = risk of injury)
-The extractor hood did not work.
-The Wi-Fi and TV operation were "a complete disaster."
-The water in the shower did not drain properly. -The right door of the bedroom wardrobe was not functioning properly.
-All 4 mattresses were well beyond the "should be renewed."
-One of the dining chairs was only usable at the risk of it completely breaking.
-The dishwasher did not clean properly. (not the setting, the machine did not function correctly)
-The control valve on the radiator in the children's room was broken.
-The bicycles (or the single items in the cellar) are simply unusable. Now one might view this enumeration as petty; however, considering the description and especially the price range at which the house is being offered, this was not acceptable to us.

Everything is very clean and quiet, but...
:
For 20 years, my wife and I have been traveling twice a year and always stay in vacation homes, except for one exception. So we have experience. Your house is well-maintained, everything is very clean, and the equipment is also good. The kitchen hood doesn't work, but that is known.
The fact that a guest is only allowed one shower towel and one hand towel for two weeks surprised us greatly, especially since there is nowhere to wash them or have them washed. Your house description doesn't help with this either.
The fact that the TV only works rudimentarily is a cheek, considering the rental price of the house! Especially since you should be aware of this fact, as the malfunction doesn't depend on "the guests" messing up the settings. The fact that your hardware can barely receive any terrestrial programs should be mentioned in your house description, as not everyone can make use of the program that is offered.
