Our holiday home is located in the idyllic artists' village of Ferch. Just outside Potsdam and Berlin.
The house is located in a settlement in the forest, approx. 1.5 km from Lake Schwielow. Ferch is located southwest about 13 km from Potsdam and about 35 km from Berlin.
Visit the bonsai garden or the museum of the Havelländische Malerkolonie. You can indulge in culinary delights dirakt at the Schwielowsee in the Landhaus Ferch. In about 15 minutes by bike you can reach the sea buckthorn farm with its specialities. The old town of Werder is also worth a visit. There are numerous shopping opportunities in Werder.

Recreation in the Forest
Even after 12 years, we enjoy coming to the holiday home of the Frommherz family. Quiet location - therefore a guaranteed break from everyday life. It's great that firewood is always available to make it cozy. Functional and sufficient equipment - for us, the motto "less is more" is well implemented. Good accessibility due to proximity to the highway. Potsdam can be reached in a maximum of 30 minutes. Arrival by train for visitors is also guaranteed hourly. We are happy to come for the 13th time.

Super stay
It was a very nice holiday. The communication with the landlord was very friendly and uncomplicated. The house is not only nicely furnished but also equipped with everything it needs. Clean, Wi-Fi works, great location right in the woods and a short walk to the water. Simply perfect! We would love to come back and can wholeheartedly recommend the house.

Family vacation in Ferch at Schwielowsee
– Perfect holiday home for families!
Our stay at the Schwielowsee holiday house from September 29 to October 5, 2024, was simply fantastic and met all our expectations! We (two adults and two small children) felt comfortable from the very first minute.
The holiday house is a gem: modern, cozy, and with a perfect layout for families. It offers everything you need for a relaxing, quiet vacation. Contrary to previous evaluations, the kitchen was in excellent condition. The equipment left nothing to be desired.
The location of the house is beautifully quiet, situated in the forest. Ideal for families with children who want to play outside in nature. At the same time, it is a perfect starting point for numerous activities in the area. We went on great excursions: a boat trip on the Schwielowsee, hikes through the beautiful nature of the Havelland landscape, and a visit to charming Potsdam, which is just a stone's throw away. Our children were especially thrilled by a trip to the Beelitz-Heilstätten treetop walkway, which was a highlight for both little and big explorers.
After our activities, it was always wonderful to return to the holiday home and enjoy the peace and quiet. We can highly recommend the holiday home Schwielowsee – whether for families, couples, or friends looking for a relaxing yet varied vacation. We will definitely come back!

Our subjective perception and our personal non-identifiable opinion.
The house is beautifully located away from everything, yet the highway is CLEARLY audible. During rush hour, it measures 55 to 60 decibels. (measured by us with a mobile phone) Furthermore, the house was unfortunately not properly cleaned when we first entered it.
-Terrace full of leaves and cobwebs
-Entrance door dirty from the inside
-Cobwebs included. the associated spiders in the living room next to the sofa, in the kitchen next to the sideboard, in the children's room under the beds, and in the bedroom under the bed.
-The windows where the reading chair is located were covered on the inside with marks from an animal's nose.
-All pots in the kitchen were dirty.
-The oven, or rather its door, was heavily soiled.
-The floor in the kitchen was sticky.
-It was clear that under all the beds had not been vacuumed. (or at least swept)
-The outdoor area was unfortunately not well maintained.
Additionally, there were functional deficiencies:
-The towel holder in the bathroom was defective.
-The shutters did not function properly in some areas.
-The stairs to the terrace had damaged tiles. (pointed edges = risk of injury)
-The extractor hood did not work.
-The Wi-Fi and TV operation were "a complete disaster."
-The water in the shower did not drain properly. -The right door of the bedroom wardrobe was not functioning properly.
-All 4 mattresses were well beyond the "should be renewed."
-One of the dining chairs was only usable at the risk of it completely breaking.
-The dishwasher did not clean properly. (not the setting, the machine did not function correctly)
-The control valve on the radiator in the children's room was broken.
-The bicycles (or the single items in the cellar) are simply unusable. Now one might view this enumeration as petty; however, considering the description and especially the price range at which the house is being offered, this was not acceptable to us.

Everything is very clean and quiet, but...
:
For 20 years, my wife and I have been traveling twice a year and always stay in vacation homes, except for one exception. So we have experience. Your house is well-maintained, everything is very clean, and the equipment is also good. The kitchen hood doesn't work, but that is known.
The fact that a guest is only allowed one shower towel and one hand towel for two weeks surprised us greatly, especially since there is nowhere to wash them or have them washed. Your house description doesn't help with this either.
The fact that the TV only works rudimentarily is a cheek, considering the rental price of the house! Especially since you should be aware of this fact, as the malfunction doesn't depend on "the guests" messing up the settings. The fact that your hardware can barely receive any terrestrial programs should be mentioned in your house description, as not everyone can make use of the program that is offered.

Gute Erreichbarkeit durch Nähe Autobahn. Potsdam gut in max. 30min erreichbar. Auch Anreise per Bahn für Besucher stündlich gewährleistet.
Kommen gern auch das 13te mal.
Unser Aufenthalt im Ferienhaus Schwielowsee vom 29. September bis zum 5. Oktober 2024 war einfach fantastisch und hat all unsere Erwartungen erfüllt ! Wir (zwei Erwachsene und zwei kleine Kinder) haben uns von der ersten Minute an wohlgefühlt.
Das Ferienhaus ist ein Juwel: modern, gemütlich und mit einer perfekten Raumaufteilung für Familien. Es bietet alles, was man für einen erholsamen, ruhigen Urlaub braucht. Entgegen den vorherigen Bewertungen war die Küche in einem Superzustand. Die Ausstattung ließ keine Wünsche offen.
Die Lage des Hauses ist herrlich ruhig im Wald gelegen. Ideal für Familien mit Kindern, die auch mal einfach draußen in der Natur spielen möchten. Gleichzeitig ist es ein perfekter Ausgangspunkt für zahlreiche Aktivitäten in der Umgebung. Wir haben tolle Ausflüge unternommen: eine Schifffahrt auf dem Schwielowsee, Wanderungen durch die wunderschöne Natur der Havellandschaft und einen Besuch im charmanten Potsdam, das nur einen Katzensprung entfernt ist. Unsere Kinder waren besonders begeistert von einem Ausflug zum Baumkronenpfad Beelitz-Heilstätten, der für kleine und große Entdecker ein Highlight war.
Nach unseren Unternehmungen war es immer wieder herrlich, ins Ferienhaus zurückzukehren und die Ruhe zu genießen.
Wir können das Ferienhaus Schwielowsee jedem wärmstens empfehlen – ob für Familien, Paare oder Freunde, die einen entspannten und dennoch abwechslungsreichen Urlaub suchen. Wir kommen definitiv wieder!

Weiter war das Haus leider nicht ordnungsgemäß geputzt als wir es zum ersten mal betreten hatten.
-Terrasse voller Laub und Spinnweben
-Eingangstüre von innen verschmutzt
-Spinnweben inkl. der dazugehörigen Spinnen im WZ neben dem Sofa, in der Küche neben dem Sideboard, im Kinderzimmer unter den Betten und im Schlafzimmer unter dem Bett.
-Die Fenster, wo der Lesesessel steht waren auf der Innenseite voller Abdrücke einer Tier Nase.
-sämtliche Töpfe in der Küche waren verschmutzt
-Der Backofen, bzw. dessen Türe war stark verschmutzt
-Der Boden in der Küche war klebrig.
-Unter allen Betten wurde offensichtlich nicht gesaugt. (oder mindestens gefegt)
-Der Außenbereich war leider nicht gepflegt.
Und zusätzlich bestanden auch funktionelle Mängel
-Der Handtuchhalter im Bad war defekt.
-Die Rollläden funktionierten teilweise nicht optimal.
-Die Treppe zur Terrasse hatte schadhafte Fließen. (spitz abstehend = Verletzungsgefahr)
-Die Dunstabzugshaube funktionierte nicht.
-Das WLAN und der TV Betrieb waren "eine einzige Katastrophe".
-Das Wasser in der Dusche lief nicht richtig ab.
-Die rechte Tür am Schlafzimmerschrank funktionierte nicht richtig.
-Alle 4 Matratzen waren weit über dem "sollten erneuert werden".
-Einer der Esszimmerstühle war nur mit dem Risiko, dass er gänzlich bricht zu gebrauchen.
-Der Geschirrspüler reinigte nicht richtig.(nicht die Einstellung, die Maschine funktionierte nicht richtig)
-Am Heizkörper im Kinderzimmer war das Regelventil abgebrochen.
-Die Fahrräder (bzw. die Einzeleile im Keller) sind schlicht nicht verwendbar.
Nun könnte man diese Aufzählung als kleinlich auffassen, jedoch unter Berücksichtigung der Beschreibung und vor allem der Preisklasse in der das Haus angeboten wird, war das für uns nicht akzeptabel.
Ihr Haus ist gut gepflegt, alles sehr sauber und die auch die Ausstattung ist gut. In der Küche funktioniert die Dunstabzugshaube nicht. Das ist aber bekannt.
Die Tatsache, dass einem Gast für 2 Wochen jeweils nur ein Duschtuch und ein Handtuch zugestanden wird, hat uns sehr verblüfft, zumal nirgendwo eine Möglichkleit besteht,
diese zu waschen oder waschen zu lassen. In Ihrer Hausbeschreibung wird einem da auch nicht geholfen.
Daß das TV-Gerät nur rudimentär funktioniert, ist, gemessen an dem Mietpreis des Hauses,eine Frechheit! Zumal Ihnen dieser Umstand bekannt sein dürfte, denn das Nichtfunktionieren hängt nicht davon ab, dass "die Gäste"
Ihre Einstellung durcheinanderbringen.
Die Tatsache, dass Ihre Hardware so gut wie keine terristischen Programme empfangen kann, sollte in Ihrer Hausbeschreibung stehen, denn nicht jeder kann mit dem Programm das angeboten wird, etwas anfangen.

Kultur und Leben in näherer Umgebung
Gepflegtes Mobiliar, sehr schöne sonnige Terrasse, man findet im Garten auch immer ein schattiges Plätzchen. Aussenrollaeden, dadurch bleibt es drinnen schön kühl.
Ferch ist ein sehr schönes Dorf mit guten Restaurants und kleinem Strandbad. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in Caputh (ca. 7 km) grosser Rewe, ansonsten grosses Einkaufszentrum in Werder(Kaufland, Rossmann, DM, Aldi, Fressnapf, Baumarkt, Apotheke) ca. 9 km.
Ferch ist idealer Ausgangspunkt fuer Ausflüge ins wunderschöne Potsdam. Auch Caputh und Werder sind sehr sehenswert. Unbedingt sollte man auch den Fercher Uferweg spazieren gehen. (Eingang gegenüber Japan. Bonsaigarten).
In Caputh ist die Besichtigung des Einsteinhauses sehr sehenswert und die wunderschöne Uferpromenade mit seinen Restaurants und der tollen Eisdiele an der Fähre.
Für Hunde ist das Haus ideal, das Grundstück ist eingezäunt, nur für ganz kleine Hunde die gerne stiften gehen sollte man sicherheitshalber noch eine Schleppleine und ein paar Pappen mitnehmen um ein paar winzige Lücken im Zaun abzudichten. Die Spazierwege beginnen direkt hinter dem Gartentor, besser geht es nicht. Tierärzte gibt es in Werder. Fress Napf auch in Werder.
Wir hatten einen tollen Urlaub in einem sehr schönen Ferienhaus mitten im Wald. Der Weg ist etwas beschwerlich aber es lohnt sich. Schöner kann man nicht wohnen.
