In the comfortable box spring beds you sleep heavenly.
The kitchen and living area is open plan. The country house kitchen is equipped to a very high standard. It invites you to cook. There is a fully automatic coffee machine for the best coffee enjoyment
All walls are made of wood. This creates a pleasant room climate. You will love it.
On the sun terrace there are 2 garden chairs and a couch to lounge on. In the small garden there is an original Finnish barrel sauna. The sauna can be fired with wood. It is great fun. Please bring the wood for the sauna and the fireplace.

You are staying in a beautiful architect built wooden house.
The flat house is located directly on the water, only separated from the lake by a path along the shore and in a very quiet location.
The villa is situated on a hill
The Flakensee is very clean and ideal for swimming.
The bathing area is only 5 minutes away on foot.
Our canoes and kayaks are available to you free of charge at any time.
Furthermore, you can rent motorboats directly in front of the door without a licence.
Wifi is also available free of charge.
Supermarkets such as EDEKA and Lidl are in the village. You will find good restaurants around the lock.
You can easily visit Berlin by taking the S-Bahn from Erkner.

Many of the sights of our village are listed in the monument list of the state of Brandenburg (excerpt for the district of Oder-Spree as of 31 December 2011):
the Woltersdorfer Schleuse (Woltersdorf sluice) - operated at this site since 1550 and last rebuilt in its present form in 1998
the 25-metre high observation tower built in 1962 on the Kranichsberg (102 metres above sea level); the previous building from 1886 was destroyed in 1945.
The tower houses the Woltersdorf Film Museum, a reminder of the 1920s, when classics of the silent film era such as "The Indian Tomb" (1920), "Mistress of the World" (1919) and later "The Tiger of Eschnapur" were filmed here
the renovated promenade at Flakensee and Kalksee with the fountain house of the Liebesquelle (spring of love)
the Protestant Church, built between 1855 and 1857 in neo-Gothic style (two predecessor buildings from 1555 and 1658 respectively), destroyed by shelling in 1945 towards the end of the Second World War, reopened on 8 May 1949 after reconstruction
the former sanatorium was bought by Hans Knoch in 1896 as a spa house on the sandy hill of the Woltersdorf peninsula. He added another building in 1899. The two houses were connected by the stately central building in 1910. At the same time, the so-called air huts for air treatment were built on the hillside. Today the building is used by the Protestant Hospital "Gottesfriede" as a specialist hospital and day clinic for geriatrics as well as by the EC meeting and education centre "Haus Gottesfriede".

the memorial built in 1952 by Kurt Holzfäller on the corner of Berliner Strasse and Baumschulenstrasse in memory of those persecuted by the Nazi regime. The creator's father, Karl Holzfäller, was one of the communist resistance fighters and was murdered in Brandenburg-Görden in 1945

Woltersdorf at the lock - A stone's throw from Berlin
Around 1240, 14 farming families founded the village in the woods and heath between Schoenebecke and the fishing settlement of Radensdorf and settled on the hill that still forms the centre of Woltersdorf today with the town hall, old school and church. However, the earliest documentary evidence dates back to 1319. In its more than 700-year history, the community of Woltersdorf has always been shaped by its immediate proximity to the metropolis of Berlin.
The original inhabitants were mainly boatmen or farmers. At the end of the 19th century, the character of the village changed with the completion of the railway line from Berlin to the east and the stop in Erkner. Since 1913, the tram has connected the Woltersdorf lock with the railway station, making Woltersdorf the smallest municipality in Germany with its own road. Over the last 20 years, the village has continued to develop into an attractive residential address, so that the population curve is pointing steadily upwards with currently approx. inhabitants (as of March 2015). The municipality of Woltersdorf is an attractive educational location, offering all educational qualifications in the village with its school landscape, a demand-oriented offer with its excellent day-care centres for children, and a high recreational value with its sports and leisure facilities. The attractive residential location as well as the designated local recreational function are mainly characterised by the charming location of the village itself and the beautiful surroundings with lakes and forests. Here, visitors can unwind and, on closer inspection, take away interesting historical impressions. The Woltersdorfer Schleuse (Woltersdorf Lock) between Kalksee and Flakensee was built in 1550 and, after several alterations, was completely renovated and renewed in 1998.

Luxury House by the Lake
We booked the vacation apartment for 6 days.
We expected more. One would have wished for a table on the balcony to be able to eat outside, but unfortunately, it is so narrow that it is not possible.
The sofa on the balcony was sagging and the cushions were dirty and worn.
It was so wide that you can hardly walk past it.
At the table, there are office chairs that do not fit the ambiance.
The kitchen is very high quality, unfortunately equipped with mismatched dishes. The true luxury of the vacation apartment is the price.
Okay, the view of the lake and the barrel sauna were good.
At that price, an additional 40 euros for bed linen.
The bike shed is very small; luckily, only our 2 bikes were on site.
Unfortunately, there is currently a construction site for sewer work on the street, and it smelled very much like sewage.
Too bad, because the surroundings are very beautiful.

- das Sofa auf dem Balkon sitz sich wunderbar . Es ist nicht durchgesessen. Die Polster werden von uns aller 8 Wochen gewaschen. Ich habe einen Brandfleck entdeckt. Entschuldigen sie bitte.
- die Stühle am Eßtisch sind bequeme . Das war unser Hauptargument für den kauf.
- Das Geschirr , alle Teller sind einheitlich. Die 12 Tassen sind unterschiedlich ( 3 Sorten ) , entschuldigen sie bitte. Einige Gäste mögen kleine Tassen andere lieber Große.
- Fahrräder können Gäste aus ihrem Apartment im eignen Garten abstellen.
Gerne hätte ich Bilder mit hochgeladen . Leider ist das nicht möglich .

Beautiful holiday
Very friendly service from staff on site.If there was a defect it was taken care of immediately and fixed very quickly.Very clean.Super location. Good connections with bus and train.Dogs are welcome there and you can take nice walks.

Relaxation with plenty of culture
We were welcomed very warmly and were immediately enthusiastic. The property is located on a hill in a village setting with a direct view of Lake Flakensee. The furnishings are simply heavenly. Everything is trendy and well thought out. A feeling of well-being arises immediately. Nothing is missing. The large and comfortable couch in the living room, the spacious dining area, and the beautiful fitted kitchen leave nothing to be desired. We slept very well in the great box spring bed and the large shower integrated directly in the bedroom already has something special about it. All in all, a great week, just a pity that we are so far away from Cologne, otherwise we would call this accommodation our number 1 holiday home. We will be happy to come back (maybe in March) and thanks to the good train connection, we will once again explore Berlin with its many sights.

Beautiful apartment, dream location.
A truly impressive apartment. It was wonderful to wake up every morning and look directly out onto the water, sitting by the fireplace in the evenings... We will gladly come back.
