Your holiday home is located on the outskirts of Wiek on the Wittow peninsula, on the edge of a small development area and only a few minutes' walk from the nearby harbour on the Wiek Bodden. Here you will find one of the best surfing and fishing areas on Rügen!
In addition, the "Cape Arkona" is in the immediate vicinity of Wiek. With its lighthouses, lighthouse keeper's house and bearing tower as well as the remains of the former Slavic castle, Cape Arkona is an interesting destination for an excursion. If only because it can be reached via a wonderful cycling and hiking path that leads along the sea.
Other popular excursion destinations are the Königsstuhl, the Jasmund National Park, Hiddensee with the Roland train and Sellin with its beautiful pier, the wild island of Vilm or Stralsund with its great old town, museums worth seeing, the Gorch Fock and the Ozeaneum. In the north of Rügen lies Wiek, a traditional fishing and seafaring village.
The village of Wiek is surrounded by a reed-fringed Bodden landscape, dune pine forests and extensive cornfields.
The exclusive holiday home in Wiek is the starting point for bathing holidaymakers and sun worshippers as well as for adventure and cultural holidaymakers who want to explore the island on foot, by bike or by Rügen bus. Beach holidaymakers can reach the fine sandy Baltic Sea beach "Schaabe" after approx. 5 km or alternatively the quiet Baltic Sea beach near Nonnevitz

Baltic Sea feeling
The holiday home is centrally located in the village in a quiet area. We had enough space in the house for four people. We had relaxing days in Rügen. However, I must mention that the final cleaning costs were set too high.

Vacation in Wiek/Rügen
Beautiful, large, and spacious holiday home with ample space for dog owners; a good location for animal lovers who enjoy outdoor activities; the only downside is the current outside temperature at this time; with morning temperatures at 7 degrees, the underfloor heating should be activated, as it was listed as an amenity in the advertisement and paid for; the unit manager did not feel responsible for this; the fireplace itself works great, but upon arrival on Saturday evening with no wood supplies in the house or stores, the first day of the vacation was unfortunately spent "searching for wood in the forest"; once enough wood is available, it becomes cozy and warm.

Wonderful holiday with great accommodation
We spent 2 weeks with 4 people and children and felt very comfortable. The house is fully equipped and there is enough space for 8 people. Even for rainy days there is enough to pass the time. There was plenty of room for our dog.

It was a wonderfully quiet house located. The property was fenced all around, so the dog could romp around in the garden to his heart's content.
