The flat consists of an eat-in kitchen with kitchenette, equipped with refrigerator, 2-plate cooker, microwave, toaster and coffee maker for filter coffee as well as a Senseo coffee maker. A comfortable sofa and flat screen TV, as well as a dining table, round off the room in a cosy way
You can access your own spacious sun terrace with garden furniture and loungers directly from the bedroom.
In the bedroom with double bed you sleep on reversible summer-winter mattresses.
The bathroom with shower/WC/washbasin is directly accessible from the bedroom.

The sauna is only one stair down in the basement
Barbecue area and parking directly at the house at ground level. The village of Fehrenbach is approx. 1.5 km long and is lined on both sides by beautiful mountains.
On the way to Masserberg you will pass through the Fehrenbach Switzerland, a beautiful landscape in summer and winter.

Fehrenbach lies at about 700 m above sea level and is a popular holiday resort in summer and winter, whether for hiking, skiing (cross-country or alpine, lift is also available) or spending a day in the unique Masserberg bathhouse
The Rennsteig hiking trail is only a 3-minute drive away or directly accessible on various hiking trails
Routes in all directions, also wonderfully groomed for winter hikers.

With mountain bike or motorbike, here all active people will get their money's worth
We would be happy to take you on guided motorbike or mountain bike tours on the most beautiful roads and paths in the Thuringian Forest.

My rating

Whoever seeks peace is right there. The furnishings are okay. The landlord's demeanor is problematic. Freshness, arrogance, and being right, that does not sit well with the guests! So I will not go there again.

Apartment Arolsbach/Terrace

The flat was very well equipped. Super nice and caring landlady, but not intrusive. In short, everything was perfect from A to Z.
On the day of arrival we had delicious homemade apple strudel. The sauna area was also really great, and was prepared warm so that you could sweat undisturbed. Thank you very, very much again and dear guests all the time. Gabriele and Klaus Gawlik

Super summer in September

We are happy to have arrived home and would like to thank you for the nice welcome with apple strudel (homemade).
The flat was great, everything you need was there. If we hadn't had 30° heat and only rain, Mrs Lyhs would also have turned the weather clock.

Great holiday with a dog.

We would like to thank you once again for the wonderful time we were able to spend with you in Fehrenbach. Frau Lyhs warmly welcomed us. The apartment is nicely furnished and perfectly sufficient for relaxing after a day trip. Even our dog felt comfortable and was spoiled with treats by Frau Lyhs.
The holiday apartment is ideal for dog owners as it has a separate terrace. We enjoyed the peace and quiet. Pure relaxation!!! Warm greetings from Berlin.

For the holiday with our 3 dogs, top accommodation is important.

Thank you very much for the beautiful, albeit too short, holiday days. The apartment is cozy and well-suited for dog owners thanks to the separate entrance. Mrs. Lyhs welcomed us warmly, and we immediately felt warmly welcomed. Our dogs were always with us on our hiking tours and excursions, whether to the source of the Werra, around the Schönbrunn Reservoir, in the Gießübler Schweiz, on the Bleßberg, or around the Goldisthal Reservoir. We will definitely come back.

Eine herbstliche Wanderwoche

We Northerners had a wonderful week in Mrs. Lyhs' holiday apartment. The forest with its well-marked hiking trails starts right behind Mrs. Lyhs' house. Along the way, you can stop at one of the many cabins to rest and recharge, and in the evenings, you look forward to the cozy and warm holiday apartment. Our hostess provided us with everything we could wish for. We will definitely repeat this.

With the great service, you can focus on your vacation.

After a long time, we were back at the Rennsteig for skiing and found a very nice, well-kept accommodation at the Lyhs holiday home. The care provided by the hostess with information, tips, and help with small technical difficulties was absolutely top-notch. The highlight of each day was the peaceful sauna session. We felt welcomed and will definitely come back. There is a lot to explore in the region, with the idea of service not as pronounced with all providers as it is with our hostess.
