Our well-maintained non-smoking flat is located on the ground floor and can be reached via a few steps. It is fully equipped to provide you with a pleasant holiday.
In the flat you can use the internet via WLAN access. A TV with digital satellite system and a DVD recorder are also available.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a dining area, fridge with freezer compartment, electric cooker with ceramic hob, dishwasher, oven, microwave, toaster and kettle. Kitchen utensils and crockery are plentiful.
In the large living room you will find another dining area and a cosy sitting area. There is plenty of reading material available.
In the bedroom there is a large double bed, a spacious wardrobe and a chest of drawers, which also offers plenty of storage space.
From the balcony you have an unobstructed view over Elmstein and its landmark, the castle ruins from the 12th century. Of course, you can enjoy this view on comfortable garden furniture. Smoking is also allowed here.
There are deckchairs available for you in the large garden. If you wish, we can provide you with an electric barbecue.
In the flat you will find a clothes horse, an ironing board and an iron.

If required, we can provide a children's travel cot and a children's high chair.
This is included in the rental price.
You are welcome to store the bicycles you have brought with you in our cellar.
A covered parking space, directly in front of the house, is available free of charge.
There are two bakeries in the village. If you wish, you can be supplied with bread rolls early in the morning.
If you let us know before your arrival what you would like us to buy for you to tide you over during the first few days, we will be happy to do so at no extra charge. However, there is a small supermarket in the village that has everything you need. You will find other supermarkets about 11 km away.
You will find a dentist, a general practitioner, a pharmacy and restaurants in the village.

The holiday flat is located directly in Elmstein. From here, all facilities, shops and hiking trails are very easy to reach. Whether you prefer hiking in the charming and unspoilt landscape of the Palatinate Forest, or prefer to go on excursions by bus and train as well as by car, the state-recognised recreational community of Elmstein offers the ideal starting point.
Wonderful mixed forests, which are home to a wide variety of flora and fauna, invite you to go on extensive hikes, short walks and stop off at the managed Palatinate Forest huts. Let yourself be spoiled by the well-known Palatinate hospitality and enjoy your holiday with friends.
The Pfälzerwald Biosphere Reserve Nature Park can be explored not only on foot, but also by mountain bike on 300 km of well-signposted tours that can also be navigated using GPS.
The tranquil town also has numerous sights to offer. Visit the museums "Alte Samenklenge"-House of Forestry and Forest History and the coat of arms smithy. Listen to the sounds of the Schlimmbach organ in the Catholic Church of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary and set out on the northern route of the Palatinate Way of St. James. As a special highlight, take a ride on the "Kuckucksbähnel" through the romantic Elmstein valley.

holiday experience
The apartment is very spacious and pleasantly cool.
Everything you need to feel comfortable is there.
The view from the balcony is fantastic, we really enjoyed it in the evening with a bottle of wine.
Mrs. Faß is a very nice and always helpful landlady.
The only thing to complain about is the proximity to a decent restaurant, everything has to be done by car.
Recommendation: Forsthaus Breitenstein with good traditional cuisine and friendly service.
