The holiday home is situated in a quiet residential area, 90 m from the Kiel Canal, close to the Ostsee baths in Eckernförde. The well-maintained house has been extensively modernised; it offers a high quality of living and good furnishings. From both flats you have the canal view as in the photo; WLan free of charge.
Carefully cleaned and sterilised before your arrival. Free cancellation in case of travel bans!

1. LOWER holiday flat, 73 sqm, 3***stars
a) very large kitchen-living room, french bed with a room partition made of curtains, dpooel sofa (extendable), leather sofa, large dining table; 7 m wide south-facing window front (effectively shaded from the outside ); the pellet fireplace radiates cosy warmth.
b) Bedroom with double bed (electrically adjustable), own TV with DVD;
c) Bathroom with shower, barrier-free,
d) south-facing terrace, natural garden with lawn and shade tree, fenced off, sunny, quiet
The flat always has pleasant air thanks to automatic fresh air supply.
2. UPPER holiday flat (upper floor; maisonette), 65 sqm:
A friendly maisonette flat for max. 4 persons, 65 sqm. The clean and bright kitchen-living room has a south-facing balcony, with a view of the larger ships in the Kiel Canal (90 m away, as in the photo). Three cosy bedrooms have double beds; one of them is in the attic (good standing height there; the room-saving stairs leading up there have a safety door at the top, but the stairs are not safe for small children. In front of it, in the passage room, there are 2 additional beds as an alternative sleeping possibility.
The bathroom has a bath, shower and washing machine. The private entrance to the flat is via the balcony. The flat always has pleasant air thanks to automatic fresh air supply.
The south-facing balcony and the windows are shaded.
HANDICAPPED ACCESSIBLE BASEMENT:
Shower flush with the floor, with grab rail and shower stool,
WC 54 cm high, folding supports on both sides; washbasin accessible by wheelchair, - all with ample free space in front. All door widths 100 to 110 cm; bed height 55 cm, accessible from underneath, both slatted frames electrically adjustable, free space at the bed: 2.40 x 1.65 m. We can move the bed so that you can also get in from the other side. The bedroom has its own TV with DVD player. The light switches are placed low. A foldable wheelchair is available. The living room table has a large overhang (can be wheeled under). The 3-seater leather couch can be adjusted to a seat height of 54 cm higher.
Our guests praise the pleasant temperature control of the house in summer and winter.

Both flats can also be booked together, then for max. 8 persons. The downstairs kitchen/living room has space and ample equipment for all persons; ideal for family gatherings.

Costs of ONE apartment, incl. max. 4 persons:
66 €/night: 19 Sept to 30 April and from 18 Sept (low season)
77 €/night: 1 May to 30 June and 1 to 18 Sept (low season) , incl. Christmas
87 €/night for July and Aug (high season)
Both flats together (up to 8 pers.) cost double the single price.
During the summer holidays we prefer stays of at least 12 nights, otherwise minimum stay 6 nights.
Bed linen: The sheets are already made up. You are welcome to bring your own duvet and pillow covers; or you can order them in advance for 5 €/person (package), or ready-made 10 €/person.
Free of visitor's tax. All costs and consumption are included; our guests often say: "...it's all there! .. "
Both flats together cost twice the individual price.
Surcharge per dog: 16 €,one-time. Please indicate the shoulder height of your dog. After a dog's stay, we always clean especially thoroughly.

The lively village of Sehestedt is centrally located in Schleswig-Holstein, the distance to the Baltic Sea (Eckernförde) is approx. 15 km, to the North Sea approx. 70 km, to Denmark
The municipality of Sehestedt is situated in the hilly part of Schleswig-Holstein, on the Kiel Canal. It is a small but lively community with a variety of activities. We like to refer to our village as "Sehestedt - the village through which a canal flows".
The municipal area lies on both sides of the canal and is connected by a ferry which, like all canal crossings, can be used free of charge day and night, so you will find ideal conditions for your holiday here.
Enjoy walking and cycling (2-3 simple bicycles are available for free use)

Super beautiful, very well-equipped holiday apartment
If you are looking for a holiday apartment where everything is truly available, you will find it here! We (three generations with our family dog) spent wonderful 6 days here. The apartment was spotless, we lacked nothing, the landlords are very nice, and the location is great. Here you can really unwind. Thank you very much for the lovely time.

Holiday flat with attention to detail
We wanted for nothing in this holiday flat. There is enough of everything. Unfortunately, we know this differently from other accommodations.
The flat was furnished with great attention to detail
Our children especially liked the many little clues around the flat, which they had fun looking for. The garden is completely fenced in, so we could let our dog run around without any problems.
Especially the proximity to the North Baltic Sea Canal is awesome. From the terrace you can admire the passing ships.
Also the contact with the landlord was always uncomplicated and very friendly.
We will gladly come back again.
