Beautiful holiday villa in the middle of the picturesque landscape of inland Istria. The house has enough space for several families or groups of friends who want to spend the holidays together. It is new and modernly furnished and the complete facilities offer the comfort you need for your vacation. The ground floor houses a large kitchen, living room and 4 bedrooms, one of them adapted for disabled people (wheelchair accessible, with electric nursing bed if desired, which we provide free of charge). On the first floor there are 6 more double rooms and an additional single room. Each bedroom with bathroom (shower/WC), one of which has a corner bath, offers pure luxury. On the gated and beautifully landscaped property, a 36 m² swimming pool with outdoor shower invites you to cool off. There is also a large 5 m² cooling chamber available on the terrace so you have enough space to cool your drinks and food. There is also a stone grill in the garden where you can prepare delicious grilled dishes and enjoy them in a relaxing atmosphere and in a natural setting.
The house is a good starting point for trips to the well-known tourist destinations of Istria: Rabac, Pula, Rovinj and Porec. All of Istria can be explored in 25 minutes by car. Near the villa there are numerous farms and family homes offering authentic dishes and experiences.

We could only get used to the house after some time.
We were a group of 17 seniors who book such a house across Europe every year.
Upon arrival, we were generously welcomed with fresh fruit, but only the key was on the table. No one showed us into the house. There was no detailed information - neither shortly before the trip nor on site. The landlord was in Zagreb for personal reasons. So we had to "explore" everything.
We had to wash the dishes again. The dishwasher cleaned unsatisfactorily, as there was no rinse aid and salt. The kitchen equipment was partly minimal. Only a small filter coffee machine. No other utensils, no dish towels. Exactly 17 glasses (of different sizes) and cups, only different plate sizes, one medium bowl and only a few small ones for salad or muesli, old pans, etc. When we reached the landlord by mobile phone, we received adequate equipment after 2 days. Initially, the warm water flowed brown from all the taps. This normalized after the first night. The slats in the beds were partially broken. Individual slats were missing or we found slats in the closets. All insect screens on the windows were torn. Several lamps did not work or flickered, so there was no ceiling light in 2 rooms. We could not meet anyone in person who dealt with the deficiencies. The house has a lot of potential, some renovations are needed. The rooms are well-shaped, the number of bathrooms is optimal, as are the pool and outdoor area. The cold storage is also ideal for large groups who cook for themselves. The location offers excursion opportunities in all directions and provides the chance to get to know Istria in all its facets.

Pool, Patio, and a Fridge for Days
We had a very nice time at Lovro's house and in Istria in general. We were 22 and the house was good for us. The rooms are big and with everything we need. We specially appreciated the pool, the outside large wooden tables and the very big fridge. The only thing we would change is little bigger kitchen, although new electric cooking stove and dishwasher were great!

Beautiful time at Villa August – 4 out of 5 ? ? ? ?
Our stay at Villa August was very positive. The booking process went smoothly, and the landlord was extremely friendly and flexible. The quiet, idyllic location with a view of the greenery was perfect for relaxation, and the villa offered plenty of space for our group of 18 people. The rooms with private bathrooms were particularly convenient, and the facilities were well-suited for large groups. The cooling house in the outdoor area was very helpful, and the overall cleanliness was acceptable. Some improvements would be sensible: The vacuum cleaner is quite loud and old, the slatted frames in some beds could be sturdier, and a more modern coffee machine (for large groups) as well as a better dishwasher would be welcome. The grill or grilling equipment could also use a little update, but we enjoyed the beautiful surroundings for relaxed barbecue evenings.
There were plenty of parking spaces, and the children had a lot of room to play. The Villa August is a charming, cozy home, ideal for a larger group that appreciates peace and nature. Overall, a great 4-star experience!

A very well-maintained vacation home
The house offers plenty of space for a larger group. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean and well-maintained. In the outdoor area, the property offers many ways to keep busy, with a trampoline, table tennis, and foosball next to the pool. Lovro was available around the clock and fulfilled all requests. We would love to come back!

Bei Ankunft wurden wir zwar großzügig mit frischem Obst begrüßt, aber es lag nur der Schlüssel auf dem Tisch. Niemand führte uns in das Haus ein. Es gab keine Detailinformationen - weder kurz vor der Reise noch vor Ort. Der Vermieter war aus privaten Gründen in Zagreb. So mussten wir alles "erforschen".
Das Geschirr mussten wir nochmals spülen. Der Geschirrspüler reinigte unbefriedigend, da ohne Klarspüler und Salz. Die Küchenausstattung war teilweise minimal. Nur eine kleine Filterkaffeemaschine. Keine sonstigen Hilfsmittel, keine Geschirrtücher. Genau 17 Gläser (verschiedenen Größen) und Tassen, nur unterschiedliche Tellergrößen, eine halbgroße Schüssel und nur wenige Kleine für Salat oder Müsli, alte Pfannen, usw. Als wir den Vermieter per Handy erreichten, bekamen wir nach 2 Tagen eine ausreichende Ausstattung.
Zunächst floss das warme Wasser braun aus allen Hähnen. Das normalisierte sich nach der ersten Nacht.
Die Lattenroste in den Betten waren teilweise gebrochen. Einzelne Latten fehlten oder wir fanden Latten in den Schränken. Alle Insektenschutznetze an den Fenstern waren zerrissen.
Mehrere Lampen gingen nicht oder flackerten, so gab es in 2 Zimmern kein Deckenllcht.
Wir konnten niemanden persönlich antreffen, der sich um die Missstände kümmerte.
Das Haus hätte viel Potential, einige renovierungen sind nötig. Die Zimmer sind gut geschnitten, die Anzahl der Bäder ist optimal, Pool und Außenbereich ebenso. Auch das Kühlhaus ist für große Gruppen, die selbst kochen, ideal.
Die Lage bietet Ausflugsmöglichkeiten in alle Richtungen und bietet die Chance, Istrien in allen Facetten kennenzulernen.
Einige Verbesserungen wären jedoch sinnvoll: Der Staubsauger ist recht laut und alt, die Lattenroste in einigen Betten könnten stabiler sein, und eine modernere Kaffeemaschine (für große Gruppen) sowie ein besserer Geschirrspüler wären willkommen. Der Grill bzw. Grill-Geräte könnten ebenfalls ein kleines Update vertragen, aber wir genossen die schöne Umgebung für entspannte Grillabende.
Parkplätze waren ausreichend vorhanden, und die Kinder hatten viel Platz zum Spielen. Die Villa August ist ein charmantes, gemütliches Zuhause, ideal für eine größere Gruppe, die Ruhe und Natur schätzt. Insgesamt eine tolle 4-Sterne-Erfahrung!
Wir waren eine Gruppe von 14 Personen die eine Beeinträchtigung haben.
Der Pool hat uns beim heißen Wetter geholfen. Und das Haus ist sauer und sehr gepflegt.
Das Haus selbst liegt recht weit im Landesinneren und einige Autominuten vom nächsten Supermarkt entfernt, daher ist mindestens 1 Auto (für Ausflüge so viele, dass man nicht doppelt fahren muss) dringendes zu empfehlen.
Das Haus lebt von dem Außenbereich und gutem Wetter. Pool, Tischtennis, Kicker, Trampolin machen es einfach mit der Familie oder eine Freundesgruppe einfach mal abzuschalten und den Sommer zu genießen.

Besonders gut gefallen hat uns die sehr große überdachte Terrasse, sowie der große Kühlraum.
Würden das Haus jederzeit wieder mieten, bzw. haben es wieder gebucht, es ist nur zu empfehlen.
