In the small Mecklenburg village of Hohen Woos, in the Mecklenburg Elbe Valley region, in the Elbe River Landscape Biosphere Reserve, not far from Dömitz, lies the beautiful brick house "Stille". It was built in 1900, a cosy brick building with clay walls inside. It was modernised in 2014 and, with its wellness area, wood-burning stove, underfloor heating, gallery and loft, as well as its huge garden and unobstructed view of fields and forests, it is a holiday delight and offers plenty of space for your creative activities.
A large eat-in kitchen with a heatable "kitchen witch" invites you to cook very special dishes. Of course, you can also just heat water or enjoy the radiating warmth. We found the cooking machine while cleaning up in the woodshed.
For those who prefer more modern cooking, there is also an induction hob, an oven and a microwave. A large dining table and a cosy sofa corner invite you to enjoy.
Four rooms allow sufficient retreat possibilities, as the kitchen-living room and the converted attic with gallery are generously and openly designed. One bedroom is a passageway to the bedroom behind it.
The bathroom is more like a wellness oasis with its sauna, free-standing whirlpool tub for two and floor-level shower.
Underfloor heating in the bathroom, kitchen, living room and entrance area meets the highest standards and can only be topped by the cosy fireplace in the roof.

The remote village of Hohen Woos (municipality of Vielank) is located in the southwest of Mecklenburg, about 17 km from Dömitz in the Griesen area, in the Elbe River Landscape Biosphere Reserve.
An idyllically situated forest swimming pool - a forest lake converted into an open-air swimming pool - is about 2 km away.
Nothing is going on in Hohen Woos - that's how it can be if you are looking for peace and quiet. A sleepy village, which can only be reached via a cul-de-sac and where even time is at rest, is the right environment for anyone who wants to come to themselves. Look for mushrooms, find mushrooms, look for caches, find caches, look for contact with the people in the village, find contact with the people in the village...
Nothing is going on in Hohen Woos, it has never been like that.

Forest bath
An idyllically situated forest bath - a forest lake that has been converted into an open-air bath - is about 2 km away. You can soon reach the cool water by bicycle through the forest. The forest pool in Alt Jabel is open from 15 May to 15 September.

The Elbe-Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania River Landscape Biosphere Reserve, recognised by UNESCO in 1997, is located between Boizenburg/ Elbe, Lübthen and Dömitz and also includes the village of Hohen Woos.

Magical moments
We found everything we had longed for
Beauty of nature, cosiness of the house, hospitality of the villagers, peace and quiet in and around the house.
It was a wonderful 2 weeks that we will gladly repeat soon!

Those who seek tranquillity...
If you are looking for absolute tranquillity, this house and the whole surrounding area is the place to be. Inside, the house offers an interesting mix of modern and old, so that the original purpose of the building is maintained. The kitchen and bathroom are ultra-modern and leave nothing to be desired. The large fenced plot is partly natural and offers several places to sit or lie down. We especially liked the hammock. We, two adults and a dog, spent the week relaxing and enjoying the peace and quiet in the holiday home Stille.

Erholung pur
The short holiday at the holiday home Stille was very relaxing and brought much joy to young and old. One can also find peace and relaxation in winter and spend the days between the garden, sauna, forest, and fireplace. We felt very comfortable!
