The holiday flat is located in the attic of a 2-family house on the edge of the Kassberg in Chemnitz. The flat was completely renovated and refurnished in 2013/14. In addition to a separate bedroom with a double bed, there is also an upholstered couch. The living room with open kitchen is equipped with a dining table and a cosy sitting area. There is also a small stereo system and a flat-screen TV. The modern kitchenette is equipped with a fridge with freezer, a 4-zone ceramic hob, an oven and a dishwasher. The small bathroom offers a shower. For sunny days, the guest has an outdoor seating area at his disposal.

Location and surroundings of object
Our holiday flat is very close to the centre, at the foot of the Kassberg. Bus lines 21, 31 and 23 have stops nearby. It is only 3 km to the city centre, which you can easily walk. The castle pond is only 2 km away.
There are numerous shopping facilities and restaurants in the immediate vicinity of the accommodation.
You have visited Dresden, you may have already made a detour to Leipzig - but have you been to Chemnitz?!
What do you know about Chemnitz? - Maybe that the city has a Marx monument, affectionately known as "der Nischel", that the city centre represents the typical architectural style of a bygone era, that the city is the third largest in Saxony?
But there is much to discover in Chemnitz. Did you know that the Kassberg is the most important continuous Wilhelminian quarter in Europe?
Do you know the cellar houses in the oldest preserved part of the city at the Schlossteich? By the way, the Schlossteich invites you to relax and go for a walk. In summer you can hire boats and cool off in the little milk house with ice cream and drinks, which you can even reach by boat.
Or would you rather experience art and culture? - then visit the Industrial Museum, the Gunzenhauser Museum, or the newly opened Museum of Archaeology.
There are also historic buildings such as Rabenstein Castle and Klaffenbach Castle.
But it is not only the city of Chemnitz that is worth a visit. It is centrally located for exploring the surrounding countryside.
kriebstein Castle with its dam is always worth a trip. Augustusburg Castle, which can be seen from afar, can be reached by cable car from Erdmannsdorf.
The Ore Mountains with their tourist attractions and typical small towns can be reached in a short time. Examples include Seifen and Oberwiesenthal. The Pressnitz Valley Railway, Scharfenstein Castle, the visitor mine in Olbernhau or the glassworks museum in Neuhausen are just a small selection.

Ideal for short and long stays
Absolute recommendation! The apartment was top clean, kitchen well equipped, the bed comfortable, large wardrobe, the bathroom clean and spacious. The landlady was very flexible with a possible additional overnight stay, received good tips for sights.
Minor deductions for not so stable Wi-Fi, which is bearable in times of cheap data tariffs. In the immediate vicinity, there is a large REWE as well as a Netto, pizzeria, Asian restaurant, and döner, all reachable within a few minutes on foot, as well as bus stops, so that one can be in the city center in 10 minutes, but it is also easily doable on foot.
recommend for: holiday without car, cultural and sightseeing holiday, romantic holiday
