Welcome to the "Haus am Wald" ! Are you looking for accommodation close to nature, in a quiet location, all to yourself, with enough space for a family and everything you need for a relaxing holiday?
Immerse yourself in a world where fox and hare say "good night" to each other and you have the feeling that time has stood still!
The holiday home "Haus am Wald" is located in the small village of Sauerthal, only 2 kilometres from Lorch on the Rhine (World Heritage Site Upper Middle Rhine Valley). Here you will find peace and quiet and can relax in and with nature.
140 m² living space with terraces around the house, very cosy rooms, well-equipped kitchen, sauna in the cellar, parking space in the property and a sauna in the cellar.
Of course, WLAN is not to be missed and a landline is also at your disposal.
You can reach "Lorch am Rhein" in just 5 minutes by car and can buy everything there at the discounter to prepare a delicious lunch yourself or throw on the mobile barbecue as the mood takes you. Of course, there are also restaurants and cosy outdoor wine taverns if you want to keep the kitchen cold. There are no shops of any kind in Sauerthal itself!
A terrace on the mountain side with a view of meadows and forest , where it is not uncommon to see a wild boar, hisch or deer and the second, large terrace with a view of the village invite you to sunbathe or enjoy a glass of wine. Both terraces have a view to the south.
The holiday home offers - even in inclement weather - enough space to feel at home. The small eat-in kitchen, equipped with everything needed for cooking and eating, the dining room with a large table and 6 chairs, the living room with TV and the barrier-free bathroom form the ground floor area.
On the first floor you will find 2 bedrooms with double beds ( 1,80m x 2,00 m ). In one of the two bedrooms there is a sofa bed (child) and a baby cot. There is a TV in both rooms. A small bathroom with WC and shower completes the 1st floor.
For sauna lovers there is a sauna and a cold water shower in the basement.
The approx. 1850 m² large, park-like area is fenced in, so that it can be well guarded by the guest dog. Cleanliness is of course taken care of by the respective tenants. Hike a few stairs up the slope and spend a few hours in the "snorer's hut", from whose balcony you have a beautiful view over the lower village.
In summer you have the possibility to use the pool area - to which you have your own access from the "Haus am Wald".
A parking space within the property is also available to you free of charge!
Important: WLAN, washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, the hut on the mountain, parking space and sauna are available to you free of charge.
Furthermore, free use of the pool!

The holiday home is situated in the centre of Sauerthal, only 6 km from Lorch am Rhein with all shopping facilities. Its central location offers almost unlimited possibilities for excursions in the region:
Rhine valley, Mosel valley, Nahe valley, the Rhine-Main metropolis with the cities of Mainz and Wiesbaden for shopping, sightseeing and cultural discoveries.
Discover and visit the world-famous "Loreley", the castles on the left and right of the Rhine ( World Heritage Site "Upper Middle Rhine Valley" ), the "Germania" with cable car, the "German Corner" in Koblenz, Frankfurt Airport with a registered tour and much more....!

From the terrace you have a beautiful view over meadow and forest. From time to time you can see a stag, a roe deer or a wild boar feeding on fresh water up on the slope. The deer rut here in Sauerthal is a unique experience.
The "Tiefenbach" rushes - sometimes more, sometimes less - and always provides fresh and good air. Opposite the holiday home is the community playground, which children up to the age of 12 can visit. Footballers are not welcome here on the playground, but there is a football pitch about 500 m away ....
In the centre of the village you can get some healthy "sour water", which is said to have a certain healing power.
Only about 2 km from the house there is an archery range, which you can visit to gain your first experience with bow and arrow.
Finally, we would like to mention geo-caching! There is a treasure to be found here in Sauerthal!
