Description

"Welcome" to the portal of the "Sauerthaler Hof" !

You will find our holiday home for groups and large families in a romantic and quiet side valley of the Rhenish Slate Mountains, only 2 km from the Rhine as the crow flies and 5 minutes by car from Lorch am Rhein with all shopping facilities.

Formerly a country inn and country hotel, the "Sauerthaler Hof" was first made available to groups of all kinds as a self-catering house / holiday home in 2000. In 2009, it was awarded 3 stars by the DTV.

Only one group is accepted at a time. There are 22 beds in the "Sauerthaler Hof" and another 4 beds in the "Haus am Wald", right next door, making a total of 26 beds.

In the ground floor area of the "Sauerthaler Hof" there are 2 large and cosy day rooms with approx. 18 - 20 seats each. A tiled stove and a bar are ideal for festivities. The large and well-equipped kitchen leaves hardly any wish unfulfilled
Between the two holiday homes "Sauerthaler Hof" and "Haus am Wald" there is a hall of approx. 40 m² which is used as a multi-function room
On the first and second floor there are 8 double rooms with shower, wash cell and WC, as well as a family sleeping area with 6 beds in 3 rooms, including a bathroom with shower and WC. A sauna can be used on request.

For weekly bookings in the HS and for a 3-day booking in the NS - the "Haus am Wald" with 2 double rooms and 2 bathrooms can be rented in addition.

Location and surroundings of object

The "Tiefenbach" meanders downhill through the small village of "Sauerthal". Houses have been built on its left and right side over the centuries. If you follow the Tiefenbach about 5 km further into the valley, you will reach Lorch am Rhein with all the necessary shopping facilities. There are no shops in Sauerthal itself.

Although quiet and very close to nature, the "Sauerthaler Hof" is very centrally located and you can reach the Rhine-Main metropolis with Wiesbaden, Frankfurt and Mainz within an hour by car.
