Only 2 minutes walk to the beach, in direct proximity (2 minutes walk) to the Ocean Wave wave pool, seal breeding station, adventure golf park, National Park House. Bakery, restaurants etc. all within walking distance !TOP - location nevertheless traffic-calmed down zone since dead end street (no through traffic for cars / only for residents).

Norddeich belongs to the town of Norden. Norddeich is bordered to the north by the Wadden Sea, to the east and west by the districts of Ostermarsch and Westermarsch II, and to the south by the core town of Norden. While agricultural land predominates in the Lintelermarsch district to the east, the centre of Norddeich is dominated by tourism. The port plays an important role as the terminus of the railway and road connections on the mainland for supplying the offshore islands of Juist (1553 inhabitants, guests with around overnight stays in 2011)[4] and Norderney (5820 inhabitants, guests (2011) with more than overnight stays in 2011)[4][5].
Geology[edit]
While the town centre of Norden is located on a sand island off the northwesternmost spur of the East Frisian Geest Ridge,[6] the entire local area of Norddeich is located in the marsh. The sandy clay soils (Klei) prevailing there are considered very fertile. Characteristic of these wet soils is the need for intensive drainage[7] of the areas lying only slightly above sea level, which in Norddeich is ensured not only by artificial water bodies such as harbours, canals and sluices, but above all by the Leybucht pumping station of the Norden drainage association.
Climate[edit]
Norddeich lies in the temperate climate zone, mainly under the direct influence of the North Sea. Daytime temperatures are lower in summer and often higher in winter than further inland. The climate is generally characterised by the Central European westerly wind zone. Norddeich lies at the climatic boundary between a high stimulus climate, a mudflat climate and a coastal climate, which means that a stay in the town can be a significant healing factor for certain illnesses.
According to the effective climate classification by Köppen, Norddeich is in the classification Cfb. C stands for a warm-moderate climate, Cf for a humid-moderate climate with warm summers b. Had a great week!
We had to book the apartment due to illness on our second attempt and everything worked out great. We felt very comfortable for a week. Everything we needed was there. The location is great and both Uphoffs are super nice. We will be back!!

We have already visited the landlord several times and will be there again in September and April, and even for 7 weeks in July. Everything is perfect, nice landlord, good location, good amenities, everything just fits. We will be back there in the coming years.
