Description
The surpassing image that is provided upon arrival in (Fain les Moutiers) is the breathtaking view in the burgundy landscape.
About 30 km far the eye sweeps through meadows, forests, monastaires and farms in the west of the nature reserve -Morvan- to the south with view of the medieval town -Semur en Auxois- and continue towards -Beaune-.
The artists Susanne and Ralf Rade originating from Stockholm and the Rhineland have build their studios here 20 years ago in the stone walls of an old homestead with a monumental barn, especially because of this inspiring location.
Today this place situated on St Just hill emanates absolute silence, relaxation and contemplation in scenic idyll.
The building is oriented all the way to the south.
The overlying spaces are combined together by a wrought-iron spiral staircaise to a type of loft and from inside out they also offer a view directly into the garden and the adjoining wide plateau.
The lower living area (54m2) has an open kitchen, dining area and at the rear side, a French double bed and seperated shower room/ seperate toilet.
On the first floor an eaqually large room opens out with wide double bed, spacious living area with sofa, seperate toilet and detached bath with view of the countryside. (>photo)
The entire interior has been created with art and craft works, with oak and limestone floors, marble mosaic. The furniture exclusively is of natural wood.
In the outside area there is a garden available for our guests including a private swimming pool (7,20m).
Outdoor dining area 4-6 persons, grill and restplaces further in the garden with aperetif and dining- table.
((Both bedrooms are more or less integrated in to the living area (see photos). The owner wanted to retain the original charm of the two spacious studio rooms, which is specially given in the ground floor by a large-sized limestone mosaic, and on the second level with oak flooring and studio skylight.))

Location and surroundings of object
Everywhere in the villages and small towns of Burgundy, the Tuscany of France, there are interesting churches, mainly in the Romanesque style of construction. Right at the foot of the hill of St. Just within a walk of 15 minutes is the old Moutiers St Jean, founded in 650, with its ancient monastery walls. A visit to the capital city Dijon is highly recommended. Gorgeous castles and manor houses appear here and there, on the way to this place.
Maybe you can draw the circle closer and plan a bike tour for the next day without having to compromise on cultural aspects. (For Castle in Epoisses with a beautiful park,the famous production of-Fromage d epoisses- is situated there aswell- 35 minutes by bike )

- 'Alesia' with its impressive new museum -30 min
- The medieval town of Semur-en-Auxois -15 min
- And Flavigny, with its magnificent stone houses -20 min

- Ancy le Franc, and its Renaissance Castle -40 min
- Vezelay with a stop in Avallon -45 min
- Dijon, not to forget, a MUST for all amateurs of Fulture and art -70 min.
- Adventure Park: Animals, carrousels and swimming pool -30 min
- Escalade-park (Tree climbing) nearby Avallon -40 min
- Small outdoor pool in Epoisses -15 min
- Beach on the lake, -Lac de Pont- -20 minutes
- A drive along the wellknown 'Canal de Bourgogne'
There are many castles in the nearby surrounding, that usually offer interesting exhibitions in
St Just is an ancient settement which is attached to Fain les Moutiers,2 km away. Here there are abaut 10 farmsteads with large gardens lined up on the hill.
You can sit here on a beautifull summer evening, perhaps with a glas of wine and look into the open countryside towards the south.
Behind the final horizont line, you might probably dream of the see, Marseille, Lavandou, Nice. This of course is not true, but along this line there is the well known wine-area of central Burgundy -Nuit St. Georges- Beaune-etc., where the famous wines of this region are grown. One and the other finds,-I will go there tomorrow-.
Maybe you can also simply reminise the day with looking on the dark forest areas of the natural reserve -Morvan-, one thinks of the visit in -Avallon- and -Vezelay- with its impressive Basilica -Sainte Madelaine-; or on the left just behind the hills,-Montbard- with an impressionating Cistercian abbaye -Abbaye de Fontenay-.
By the way, in -Montbard-,15 min. from your house, you get to Paris by TGV train in one hour.

Since there is absolutely nothing to report negative, we would like to emphasize the following points:
-> The house, the garden, the peace and the environment are an absolute dream
-> The owner is very friendly and helpful. There are, we believe, not what he can not immediately organsieren
-> The attention to detail and the sculptures give the house a very special
-> The Baguette service, time for breakfast, is unbeatable

... And that's not a slab-cliché: Due to the fabulous location with a view stretching tens of kilometers to the south, one has 7 down from the garden terrace, the pool and the bedroom from the feeling of cloud on the ground watch.
does the atmosphere in the two-storey loft apartment her rest to allow a wonderful holiday: Ralf Räde has made with many small and large details an artwork from the spacious apartment. The equipment is very good, the helpfulness and friendliness of the landlord even better!
The area offers plenty of attractions and excursions - whether you want to travel by bicycle, on foot or by car. Whether you want to see small, historic town, nature or shopping (Dijon!) Preferred.
We will definitely go again and can recommend it!

La location jouit d'un panorama à couper le souffle, c'est rien de le dire. Dans un petit village très tranquille, un jardin très joliment décoré, une piscine. Et le propriétaire était très disponible, nous emmenant du bois pour la cheminée avant qu'il ne vienne à manquer (il voulait même l'allumer à ma place). You pain chaque matin, et la boulangère dans sa camionnette a également of viennoiseries. L'intérieur bien équipé et très confortable. Un très très bon séjour! .................

The essential first: We spent wonderful days in St. Just! Those seeking peace, they will find in this house. Space for total relaxation is given. A car is however necessary because the supply at the site itself is not possible. Mr. Räde, the owner is very friendly and very helpful! The house is very tastefully decorated. It is clean and offers two floors ample space for four people, the sanitary facilities must however share because only present once. The works of art from our own workshop in the house and create a wonderful and unique atmosphere - where else can you find such a thing?
The display corresponds to the expectations it awakens. Who has experience in the rent of holiday homes, they can interpret appropriately analyzed and confirms what is offered. Gladly again!

Although we had no sea, but great landlords who were very helpful and seen daily by the right spot. The accommodation is as described and super beds, a well-stocked kitchen and a breathtaking view make every day special. The pool provided the necessary cooling and, because it was only used by us, was the highlight for our child (,20m deep). The rooms are characterized by their clarity and the purity of the materials used. Living room and at the same time Artwork - this symbiosis was implemented perfectly by the owner and is all present. Semur, Montbard, Dijon and Avalon are worth a visit. Gruss B., D. u. C.

An excellent place for those looking for retreat and rest, of course, culture and wine. We had a fantastic time at La Belle Vue and can not recommend it enough. The house is beautiful, and has been converted from an old barn with care and taste, but we spent most of the time in the garden and traveling around. The views from the garden justify the name of the house, and it Offered a peaceful, relaxing spot (interrupted only by our children playing in the pool). It's therefore quite special to be staying in a garden full of sculpture.
The surrounding area is ideal for walking and cycling, and with a car you can Easily get to some fantastic places: such as Avallon, Chablis, Morvan, and Vezellay.
Last, and by No Means least, Ralf is an excellent host - engaging and warm, always willing to help and chat, but able to melt into the background so did you really feel it's your home. I lost count of the number of gifts (wine, plums, etc) Ralf provided, and I'm embarrassed to repay his kindness by taking almost three months to write a review!

Our vacation at the Bellevues
A big thank you to Ralf who was very attentive and caring with us.
He provided valuable advice on the walks to do in the region that we followed and enjoyed.
The house is very pleasant and perfectly equipped. Moreover, it is very nice to be able to enjoy an all-inclusive service with bed linen, towels, dishcloths... on site.
We also fully enjoyed the jacuzzi. And what can I say about the splendid view and the calm surroundings!
I recommend! Looking forward to coming back to share new anecdotes? .

Picturesque
The accommodation is located wonderfully, is tastefully furnished, and has a large, charming garden. The friendly landlord is always available and very helpful. We had very relaxing weeks at this wonderful place. In the immediate vicinity, there are many picturesque towns and destinations suitable for children as well.

Great holiday in a great vacation home
We had a wonderful vacation here with a great landlord. The vacation house is big. The equipment leaves hardly anything to be desired. Beautiful garden with great views. Our highlight: the hot tub in the evening with a view of the evening sun or the starry sky. The region here offers a lot. Semur en Auxois, Avallon, Vezelay, the abbey of Fontenay. Cycling along the Canal du Bourgogne.

Super Accommodation
We were able to enjoy the rental for one week, the view of the Burgundy countryside is magnificent, located not far from Semur en Auxois, the geographical location allowed us to easily travel in the north of Burgundy. The setting is calm and relaxing, whether you are looking for a base to visit the region or simply rest, this rental is perfect.
We had a pleasant time, thank you to the owner.
