Our small thatched holiday home in the former fishing village of Born invites you to spend a relaxing holiday. Beautiful furniture, many pictures, a small library and treasured objects give the house a cosy atmosphere. A place to linger
After a swim in the Baltic Sea, a long walk on the beach or a bicycle tour through the enchanting Darß forest, you can dream away the day on the sunny, sheltered terrace, read, have breakfast and enjoy the cosy garden furniture.
In the living area with its comfortable sofa, TV, radio, many pictures and books, as well as in the dining area open to the gable with its beautiful table and chairs, nostalgic crockery cupboard, a cosy atmosphere surrounds you. In the well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher, 4-plate ceramic hob, oven, fridge with ice compartment, you will find all the utensils you need for self-catering. The shower room is also on the ground floor.
A staircase with handrail leads to the small gallery. From there you can reach the bedroom.
You can park your car in front of the house on the available parking space. WLAN free of charge. The Bodden is not far away.

Our small Backbord Katen is located in the picturesque former fishing village of Born on the Darß. About 150m from the shore of the Bodden, with a small garden, a sunny, sheltered terrace and comfortable garden furniture, you can dream away the day here. Breakfast rolls and delicious cakes are available at the bakery nearby.
The small village between the Bodden and the Baltic Sea has retained its originality and charm. The atmosphere is tranquil. The fairytale forest of the national park begins right at the edge of the village and reaches all the way to the Baltic Sea
There are various restaurants and cafés within walking distance. The small harbour with excursion boats, the Schifferkirche, galleries, the summer theatre and the open-air stage are also not far away. The traditional route to the Baltic Sea is through the wonderful Darß forest or by car to the nearest Born beach car park
A special magic lies over the little town of Born. You will certainly feel this during your holiday. Experience the wild romantic beauty of the Baltic Sea coastline on the wide unspoilt western beach, peaceful unique nature on the Bodden, quiet picturesque villages - a landscape that touches the soul.
Events in Born offer variety, e.g. in the "summer theatre", on the open-air stage, at concerts in the small thatched fishermen's church, in the exhibitions and galleries.
Excursion boats (bicycles can be taken on board) and traditional Zeesboote offer trips on the Bodden.
The restaurants serve fresh and delicious fish. Shopping facilities, bicycle rental, petrol station, bus stop, savings bank and post office are also available in Born.

Ferienhaus in Born auf dem Darß
Im Voraus, es war ein wunderschöner Urlaub. Wir haben das kleine Ferienhäuschen in der Nebensaison gebucht. Der Kontakt mit den Vermietern per E- Mail und auf dem Postwege
war super. Es wurde immer sofort reagiert. Das war für uns mit Abstand die beste Korrespondenz
mit Ferienhausvermietern. Es vermittelt Seriosität in Zeiten, wo Betrügereien an der Tagesordnung
sind. Bei Ankunft am Ferienhaus denkt man für den Moment, "es ist aber sehr klein".
Beim Öffnen der Haustüre spiegelt sich der ganze Charme dieses Anwesens wieder.
Alte Bausubstanz aus vergangenen Jahrhunderten mit Stil und Moderne gemischt.
Der erste Eindruck: alles picobello sauber. Küche und Bad sind sicherlich nicht das Modernste.
Aber alles Top und passend vom Ambiente zum Stil des Hauses.
Das Schlafzimmer befindet sich im 1.OG. Die Betten waren wunderbar.
Vorm Häuschen ist eine Sitzecke mit Tisch und Stühlen. Der Sichtschutz wird durch Hecke und Zaun
garantiert. Es ist Platz für 2 Fahrräder, die an einer Stange eventuell angeschlossen werden können.
Schräg gegenüber befindet sich ein Bäcker. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind dem Auto oder mit dem Rad zügig erreichbar. Da wir aus dem Gebirge kommen, verbinden wir die Ostsee mit schmackhaften Fisch. Selbst in Born, in der Nebensaison, während unseres Urlaubes, überhaupt kein Problem.
Auf dem Darß ist so gut wie alles mit dem Fahrrad erreichbar. Ansonsten gibt es in der Nebensaison genug Autoparkplätze, von wo aus gewandert werden kann. Prerow, Zingst und Ahrenshoop haben eine Ruhe ausgestrahlt. "Wunderbar"

Time out in Born
I had a wonderful time with my 15-year-old Labrador Mika in the Backbordkaten in Born. The Katen is lovingly furnished and has everything you need. Many beautiful details in the design ensure that you feel completely comfortable. The short walk to the Bodden allowed us to admire many sunrises in the morning. I would love to come back?

Port Katen Born/Darß
Dear Fam. Endruweit,
once again we were guests in your Backbord Katen and felt very comfortable.
You can see and notice the loving hand in the renovation and furnishing of the little cottage. Old and new have been harmoniously combined. Nothing is missing, everything radiates warmth and cosiness. It's the perfect place to switch off from hectic everyday life.
Booking and communication are excellent.
We will gladly come back and can recommend it 100%.
