Wonderful spring vacation

Thank you, Mrs. Stünkel, for allowing us to spend 14 days in the holiday home Blumenkorb. The location of the holiday home is close to the sea, and from the terrace and the balcony, we could greet it every morning. Sometimes quite loud and sometimes very calm. We observed deer and wild rabbits in the meadow. We relaxed while hiking along the Baltic Sea, explored the surroundings (Kappeln, Eckernförde, Arnis...), crossed the Schlei by ferry, and sat in the garden to read or simply to relax. Of course, there were delicious fish rolls everywhere, fish in all variations, coffee and cake, ice cream, and above all, friendly and nice people everywhere. The holiday home is very inviting. It has everything you need, from kitchen utensils to bathroom fittings to the living room with a balcony. There are loungers available for the garden, which we used regularly due to the excellent weather. Our 12-year-old Mudi Hannes particularly enjoyed the garden. After walks, he particularly enjoyed resting here. We really had a great vacation, returned home refreshed, and would love to come back.

Dreamlike

We are now at the Blumenkorb house for the second time. When we arrived, there was a lovely welcome message on the table. The house has a fantastic view of the Baltic Sea and nature, whether from the large fenced garden or the balcony. The amenities are great. There are even umbrellas, a hairdryer in each bathroom, as well as notepads, pens, etc. Everything is available. The location is very quiet, and it's only a few minutes' walk to the beach. The dog beach is also not far away. We and our dog felt very comfortable and will definitely come back.

House Flower Basket Schönhagen

The accommodation "Haus Blumenkorb" in Schönhagen fully matched the photos on the website. In terms of cleanliness, I give 5 out of 5 stars. Regarding the amenities, everything is available that makes daily life in the house very relaxing. The hostess is very accommodating and friendly, as well as extremely helpful. The internet speed is low, but it is completely sufficient for browsing websites on a smartphone and also for transferring images without having to wait long. The outdoor area is very suitable for a high feel-good factor. The path to the beach is about 600 m, just a stone's throw away. From the balcony, one has a view of the sea, the distance to the sight is about 200 m in a straight line.

A dream house by the sea.

We once again spent our vacation at the beautiful house Blumenkorb. Until now, we have never had a vacation home with such a perfect equipment, nothing is missing. Even our dog felt very comfortable. However, there is one downside, we now have to wait a whole year for our next vacation, we have already booked the house for next year, we are already looking forward to it very much.

Top holiday home

House Blumenkorb is a beautiful holiday home with a very nice, fully fenced garden from which you have a fantastic view of the forest, meadows, and the sea. Just behind the garden fence, you could observe deer every day. There were several nice seating areas in the garden. Chairs on the terrace, a swing bench further down, and even a beach chair. Everything is in very good condition and well-maintained. The house is incredibly cozy and super clean. Without a doubt, it is the best-equipped holiday home we have ever stayed in. Nothing is missing. Even things like tape, light bulbs, Tupperware, etc., really everything is there. There was also plenty of information about the area and what to see and where to eat well in the house. There were addresses of doctors for humans and animals. A great thing. There was even a guest gift that we were very happy about. With a vacation in House Blumenkorb, you do everything right. We and our dogs felt very comfortable and fully recovered.

Unbeatable!

We've been staying at the House Blumenkorb for 3 years now and still feel as comfortable as ever! The house is equipped with everything, is very spacious for 2 people and the view from the terrace or balcony of the Baltic Sea is simply fantastic! Very nice holiday home with a fantastic view

we stayed in Haus Blumenkorb for 10 days in April and felt very comfortable. The house is very well equipped and lovingly furnished. There was a welcome gift on the table, which we were very happy about.

The location is simply fantastic, the garden is nice and big and fenced in, which we liked very much as dog owners. The view from the balcony is unique.

We liked it so much that we have already booked again for next year.

Very nice and cosy holiday home

My husband and I spent 1 week in March in the beautiful, very comfortably furnished house Blumenkorb.

We found everything we needed there.
Our two four-legged friends also felt at home there. We will come back again this year.

Very pleasant holiday home

During a week in mid-December we spent our holiday in this house.


The hostess was very friendly and accommodating. The house is functional and equipped to a good standard; we really didn't miss anything. Everything is in top condition! The view is very extensive and you can get to the sea very quickly. All in all, Haus Blumenkorb is highly recommended.

Perfect for the 2nd time

After we were so enthusiastic about this great house last year and immediately booked again, we spent two wonderful weeks in Schönhagen.
Our dog and we felt so comfortable again that we would have loved to stay longer.
We enjoyed every day so much and this peace and quiet is just wonderful. The view of the Baltic Sea from the terrace and balcony is just fantastic. It was just perfect for us the second time and that is why we will definitely come back.

Winter holidays at the Baltic Sea for the first time

We just wanted to try it out (winter Baltic Sea), but we didn't regret it and will be back.
Lovely welcome with a gift, we drove 9 hours and it was nice and warm in the house. Lovingly furnished, kitchen fully equipped. Very nice and cosy upstairs in the studio, wonderful view of the Baltic Sea and when there is a storm, it cracks so beautifully in the woodwork. Spotlessly clean accommodation, great location, especially if you are travelling with a dog. Short walk to the dog beach. We did a lot despite the short time. Kappeln has a beautiful old town, nice restaurants at the harbour. All in all, good recreational effect, walked hours on the beach every day.

Absolutely perfect

We stayed at Haus Blumenkorb for 1 week and were absolutely thrilled. Starting with the very nice contact with the landlady and a bouquet of flowers and sparkling wine with orange juice as a welcome.
Then there was the absolutely clean condition of the house and the tasteful and well-kept furnishings. Everything was available in the house, even things that you would not normally expect in a holiday home. They may only be small things, but spare batteries and a small set of sewing kit show me that someone has really put some thought into this. I could go on endlessly, but that would go beyond the scope of this article. You simply have to experience it.
The house itself has a very beautiful location. You look out over meadows with deer, rabbits, pheasants etc. to the Baltic Sea and it was heavenly quiet during the week, even though it was high season.
From Schönhagen you can make very nice excursions, e.g. to Kappeln, Eckernförde, Lübeck, Husum and, and, and. Suggestions for sports, hiking and cycling activities as well as for children's entertainment can be found in 2 elaborate folders in the house.
As already said, a perfect holiday and if we should go on holiday to the Baltic Sea again, then for sure in the house Blumenkorb. (if available)

Der perfekte Urlaub

The house offers everything you could wish for a relaxing, quiet holiday. We are repeat visitors (4 stays) and are always impressed by how thoughtfully the furnishings have been arranged. The kitchen is fully equipped with all kitchen utensils, there is enough crockery and cutlery and now also a radio available. Towels are not counted, soap is provided, and you don't have to search for toilet paper on the first day. The garden is wonderful and lovingly designed, equipped with beautiful furniture, and the view from the garden and balcony is simply fantastic. The morning view over the fields with the local animals (geese, ducks, deer...) towards the Baltic Sea is always a great way to start the day.

This alone would be more than enough reason to give a 5-star rating, but on top of that, the landlady genuinely cares about making sure you feel comfortable and actively inquires about it. Suggestions (e.g. an additional light source on the upper floor) are immediately taken up. Even in circumstances that are not within her responsibility (disorganized COVID testing in Schönhagen), Mrs. Stünkel promptly takes care and tries to bring about clarification. A kindness that is truly exceptional in today's times. We actually thought about not writing so many positive things since we are creating competition for booking times :), but it really is always a great holiday experience. That's why we have already booked again for next year.

Great little house with great amenities

A very beautiful, spacious house with great, complete amenities. Great view over meadows with deer and hare to the Baltic Sea. Beautiful garden with beach chair, loungers, parasol, barbecue area, and beautiful tulips that we really liked. The holiday home offers everything a guest could wish for. Starting with the warm welcome from the landlord, the flowers on the table, and a refreshing drink, to the lovingly furnished interior with all amenities, I can only recommend this house. From the terrace, you look out over pastures to the Baltic Sea. Dreamlike! When you step onto the balcony, you are breathless and head over heels in love! Such a fantastic view. We will be back!

Great holiday home in a quiet location, near the beach with a sea view from the balcony. The house has everything you need, a small fenced garden, terrace, and barbecue area. The balcony invites you for a coffee in the morning sunrises over the sea. Nearby, there is a small convenience store right at the beach where you can get everything you need. In Eckernförde (30 minutes by car), stores like Lidl, Aldi, etc. are open until 5:00 pm on Sundays. We had a wonderful week here and will definitely come back. Very nice contact with the landlord, highly recommended!

Summer vacation 2020 with a dog

If you want to spend a cozy and quiet holiday in close proximity to the beach, you are in good hands at the "Haus Blumenkorb." We found everything exactly as described in the house description. We particularly appreciated the two bathrooms. The price-performance ratio is more than fair. For dog owners, the location of the house is perfect. There are plenty of opportunities for extensive walks through the forest and meadows, all the way to the dog beach. We will gladly come back!

wonderful vacation with 8 paws

We spent a week at Haus Blumenkoeb with our two female dogs and quickly felt right at home. The stairs going up were not a problem for our dogs, even though they were not used to steps. The laminate flooring upstairs was a bit difficult for their paws, but it was fine for the week. Downstairs there are tiles where the dogs could walk better. The way to the beach leads either right or left of the house, a short distance (3-5 minutes) through the quiet residential area and then along a beautiful field path and/or through a small forest-like area. The walk is very pleasant, and after about 15 minutes, you reach the lovely dog-friendly beach. The only downside is when there are hunting dogs around, as there is a lot of wildlife crossing the paths, but our dogs luckily didn't mind that.

All in all, it was a fantastic holiday. We have been coming to the region for many years, but now we have finally found a house that we will be very happy to return to :)

... we only have a tiny suggestion regarding the amenities: having a radio in the living kitchen would be great. Sometimes we missed the news in the mornings during breakfast, or just wanted to listen to music while cooking.
But that is actually the only little thing we noticed. Otherwise, you feel almost like at home :-)

Time out with a sea view

We unfortunately didn't have a record-breaking summer, but we still enjoyed our days at Haus Blumenkorb. The tastefully decorated house offers everything you expect in a nice holiday home. We will miss the great sea view especially. It's a 10-15 minute walk to the beach and dog beach. There is a small market on the beach that really has everything you might need in an emergency. Coffee, cake, and ice cream are available at the Seestern beach café. Not to forget the country bakery Ohm, which provided us with fresh baked goods every morning for a good start to the day.
The House Blumenkorb is also highly recommended for a holiday with a dog, the garden is fenced in and our two Labradors almost felt at home.
A word about our landlord: we were rarely greeted so kindly, fresh flowers and a bottle of champagne and orange juice were waiting on the table. A minor issue with a holder for the parasol was promptly resolved by Mr. Karpowitz the next day in person. We have been traveling to the North and East Sea coasts for several years now and have rarely met a landlord who is so concerned about the well-being of his guests. Thank you very much for a great stay.

Due to defects in the vacation home and the slow or lack of repairs during our stay, we had to end our vacation prematurely. The hassle involved in receiving a partial refund of the rental costs did not contribute to our relaxation.

Accommodation like at home

The Blumenkorb house has a fantastic unobstructed view of the Baltic Sea. You can reach the beach in about 10-15 minutes on foot without using the main road
The house is lovingly furnished (you get enough towels and even bathrobes) and all necessary utensils are available in the kitchen. The landlords respond promptly and personally to enquiries and also look after things themselves. The house is suitable to occupy oneself even in bad weather and if necessary to get out of the way
As far as the service is concerned, the rating refers to the fact that you have a direct contact person on site who reacts immediately. There is no bread service or anything similar.
The only downgrade in the furnishings concerns the second bedroom. There is no more space for a wardrobe here and you have to store your clothes in a wardrobe in the living room
We have already enjoyed a holiday there for the second time (once in March 2017 and September 2018). Next year is already firmly planned.

Recreational holiday at the Baltic Sea

Arrive and feel comfortable. The friendly hosts welcomed us personally and surprised us with a nice welcome gift. The holiday home is cozy and leaves nothing to be desired. Everything is there to feel comfortable when returning from excursions on Schwansen and beyond. The garden is lovingly landscaped. We were lucky to have a few warm days, so we could have breakfast on the terrace in the morning sun and enjoy the view of the Baltic Sea. The view from the balcony or the living room to the Baltic Sea is fantastic. Deer, rabbits, and various bird species can be observed in the meadows. We have recovered well and thank the landlords warmly. We would love to come back.

A home during the holidays

The house is lovingly furnished with everything to feel comfortable right away. The highlight is the studio with a great view of the Baltic Sea. It is only a short walk to the beach and also the dog beach. The landlords are very nice and surprised us with a welcome gift. With the bottle of sparkling wine, we could toast directly to the birthday. The surroundings are great. You can quickly reach the cities of Kappeln, Schleswig, and Eckernförde. The long sandy beach connects the places of Damp, Schönhagen, and Kappeln. All in all, an absolute recommendation for both the accommodation and the place. We will gladly come back with our dog.

This year we stayed for three weeks in the Wohlfühlhaus Blumenkorb and quickly felt at home in the house, which leaves nothing to be desired. Very well maintained house, pretty garden and a very pleasant, friendly landlord team. To give our 2018 holiday a good basis, we have just booked three weeks in the Blumenkorb house again - before someone else snatches this accommodation away from us.

Vacation at the Baltic Sea

We were only there for a week, but we recovered wonderfully! Very friendly, personal welcome by the landlord, cozy furnished cottage, everything perfectly prepared! Fine, quiet garden with a view of the sea and 3 deer! Short walk to the dog beach, Dachshund Paula was in the water every day! Highly recommended!!
