The pictures are already impressive, but when you open the gate and it looks even better, you have arrived in this dream
No matter if location, condition, equipment or the staff that keeps everything in good shape - there was nothing to complain about!
The safari to Tsavo East National Park organised by Eliza was absolutely recommendable. Also the more direct connection to Mombasa airport in the next few months makes this destination even more attractive
We will definitely come again!

This is the 3rd time we have stayed at Villa Kuishi! :-)
The house is TOP as always ! Rama, Eliza & John make a great team!
You can read the rest in the entries from 11.03.2014 and 10.03.2015. Not much has changed ... and that is good!!! Everything is very familiar to us and we feel like in our second home.

You can't imagine Africa more beautiful than this........
Super helpful and friendly team. The organisation from Germany also went great, as we arrived at night and the pre-organised taxi driver Moses was at the airport on time and Eliza welcomed us warmly on our arrival. The beach is super nice. The beach boys like to sell things, which was a bit annoying, but you can only find such beautiful white beaches in the Caribbean. Eliza cooked us super African food and Rama was great at helping us pick out souvenirs. The house is fantastic and we had a short visit from the monkeys. John is a super unobtrusive and very friendly night watchman who makes you feel very safe. Safari is an absolute must, only the best is offered by Julius
Villa Kuishi we will be back and are really looking forward to it.

The owners of this dream villa took away our first doubts right before booking and they were really unfounded. An interesting country with nice people who radiate a lot of joie de vivre despite their poverty. Thank you very much that we could always turn to you if we had any questions.
Eliza: An angel in the house who read our every wish from our eyes. She did her housework reliably and considerately, cooked first-class meals and was always there to help us with words and deeds. We would love to take her home with us!
Rama: the hard-working man in the garden, who always made sure the pool was clean, tended to everything green, was friendly and helpful.
John, the nice Masai, who also smiled at us sympathetically from the first day and took good care of us.
Julius: our "safari guide" to Tsavo -East and Wasini Island with the easygoing sayings. We learned a lot about the country and its people because he spoke good German. He was always funny and concerned about our well-being. His motto was "That's safari"
Moses: The "taxi driver" who chauffeured us safely from the airport to here and back, even in the middle of the night.

wonderful holiday in this dream house

Hello Team Villa Kuishi,
we have just had a wonderful vacation in this dream house.
We are not new to Kenya, but this time we were really completely satisfied. Starting from the nice contact with the owners Petra and Roland to the "good spirits" of the house -
Rama (known as Lätta), Elizabeth, and John. They always tried to fulfill our wishes.
The weather was not always on our side, but that is something one knows in the so-called rainy season. The provided car really made up for it. We were able to discover some new things. We recommend a trip with an overnight stay at the Shimba Green Safari Lodge - a truly unique experience. We will definitely come back to this place! ! ! ! !

Holiday in paradise

We can fully agree with the previous reviews at one hundred percent. The house, the garden, and the pool are simply gorgeous. Everything is furnished with great taste, has everything you need for a vacation, and is very, very clean. The dear staff, Eliza, Rama, and John, are unobtrusively friendly, they are there when you need them, and all three do a great job. We took our first vacation in Africa and it was much easier and more peaceful than we expected. Our vacation motto at Villa Kuishi was and still is: We could scream with happiness! ;-) :-) ;-). Dear Petra, dear Roland, you have truly created a paradise there with your kind staff. Warm regards and hopefully see you soon, Christine and Andreas. Traumhafter Urlaub

We, two adults and four children, traveled to Kenya in July 2016. Initially, we embarked on a three-day safari to the Maasai Mara and then traveled by train from Nairobi to Mombasa. Before the trip began, we received a tip from Petra and Roland for the transfer from the Mombasa train station to Diani Beach and booked the recommended driver. He waited for us at the train station despite the train being 6.5 hours late. The driver (Moses) had brought a second driver and a second car since we were traveling with 6 people and plenty of luggage. Much has already been written about the house, and we can only confirm this. It is a dream! We arrived in Kuishi around 6 pm, and the housekeeper Elisabeth and gardener Rama were waiting for us. Elisabeth even accompanied us to the nearest supermarket and helped us with the shopping. The house offers plenty of space for 6 people, is beautiful, the pool is a delight, and the garden is a dream. Elisabeth is truly a stroke of luck for this house, she cooked wonderfully for us, was always available to help, but never interfered in any way. The same goes for Rama and John, the Maasai night watchman. All three are a great team and made sure it was truly a dream vacation. A huge plus was also that we could rent a car directly from the landlord. This allows for great exploration of the nearby area and shopping is no problem. We can only recommend Kuishi. Really great.

Simply fantastic

Hello, here is the Schubert family again, already for the 2nd time in Villa Kuishi, and the 3rd time will definitely come next year.

Eliza, the good angel of the Reichel family, has kept everything in order and cooked superbly, especially fresh fish and lobsters that the fisherman brought us upon request.
We don't need to say much about Rama, he keeps everything in order outside the villa. The garden is a gem, and the two new house pets are Vanessa and Hans, small turtles.
My wife has taken them to her heart, and they get to eat a la carte with her.
Many thanks to Petra and Roland, you have a wonderful gem at Diana Beach.
And Roland, a special thanks to you for the car.

this villa is simply paradise. We felt immediately comfortable. Eliza and Rama made this very easy for us. They did everything for us. Even John, who watched over us at night, could anticipate our wishes. We recommend this villa to everyone because it was simply amazing.

Pure relaxation in a dream accommodation

Dreamy villa in a quiet location. The entire house is very tastefully decorated, and the decoration shows the Reichel family's love for Africa. We have been to Kenya many times, but we have never stayed in such a clean place. Eliza, the gem of the villa, ensured order and provided many culinary delights. During the 3 weeks of our stay, even the shower curtain was changed weekly. We have never experienced anything like this before. Even the dirty laundry was washed and ironed as a matter of course and placed back in the room. Service is a top priority here. Rama took care of the pool, the tropical garden, and the great car. With John's presence, who guarded Villa Kuishi all night, one felt safe and could sleep peacefully. We will come back!

Really great house with superb staff

We stayed for 23 nights at Villa Kuishi and the description and pictures correspond to reality. The house is very clean and well-maintained, beds and bedding are very clean and comfortable. Sufficient towels and linens were more than adequately changed. Two equivalent bedrooms and bathrooms are available and were superbly maintained daily by Eliza. Air conditioning is really not necessary, as no heat came into the house due to the large palm roof. The garden is a dream. Rama takes care of the many different plants and manages the pool excellently (measuring pH value and cleaning). Special thanks to the warm-hearted John (Maasai night guard) who discreetly watched over us every night. In case of power outages or other issues, he was always available to assist us with his good English skills. Particularly notable is the excellent cuisine of Eliza. Order a large fresh fish (4 kg, about 15 Euros) the day before if possible. 12 euros) the fisherman brings it to the house personally, saving you the restaurants. Eliza prepared fish fillets for us with excellent side dishes, and Rama and Eliza's families will be delighted with the remaining fish fillets. Eliza cooks fresh and finest every day, not as guaranteed in a beach restaurant. Since tourism in Kenya is currently not at its peak, one should not turn a blind eye to the poor population. We recommend the Villa Kuishi and the dream-like, unobtrusive staff.

Ein Traum wird war

Wir waren zu Viert (3 Erwachsene, 1 Kind) eine Woche in der Villa Kuishi. Der Kontakt mit Roland und Petra per E-Mail und Telefon war von Anfang an sehr freundlich. Im Vorfeld habe ich die Homepage der Beiden gründlich studiert und konnte mich an den schönen Bildern kaum satt sehen. Man kennt das ja. Oft sind die Bilder im Reisekatalog eine hoffnungslose Übertreibung der Wirklichkeit. Alles geschönt! Aber ich kann Sie beruhigen: Bei der Villa Kuishi ist es tatsächlich so, dass die Wirklichkeit die Bilder in ihrer Schönheit sogar noch übertrifft!!! Es ist einfach traumhaft. Die Villa, super schön, sauber und gemütlich. Der Garten ein Paradies. Der Pool sauber und ganz für einen alleine. Das "Personal", Elisabeth, Rama und John, sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, aber auch nie störend. Sie halten sich angenehm im Hintergrund und wenn man sie braucht, sind sie da. Auch die Lage der Villa ist perfekt. Sicher in einer Anlage gelegen, ist man zu Fuss in ca. 8 Minuten an den Strand geschlendert. Dort erwartet einen ein weisser Sandstrand und diverse Beachbars (Bidi Badu). Also alles da für einen echten Traumurlaub. Wir werden wieder kommen. Und dann bleiben wir 2 Wochen. Eine Woche war uns irgendwie zu kurz... :-)

From the first day, we felt at home. This enchanting property with attention to detail, combined with three wonderful people, makes a relaxed and beautiful vacation possible. We were speechless at first.

We were speechless when we arrived here and saw everything live; it is much more beautiful than in the pictures.
The staff is very nice, especially Rama. I actually planned to lose some weight here, but what Eliza conjures up on the table is so delicious that I gave up on losing weight.
It is fantastically beautiful here; our son will miss the daily swim in the pool, and so will we. The two weeks will soon be over but we are enjoying the time.

Traumhaus, Traum-Mitarbeiter, Traumurlaub!!”

Wir haben unsere Flitterwochen in der Villa Kuishi verbracht und unsere Erwartungen wurden mehr als übertroffen. Vorab hatten wir regen Kontakt mit Petra und Roland, die uns über alles genauestens informiert haben und unsere Unsicherheiten (erste Kenia-Reise) mit ihrer Geduld komplett ausmerzen konnten. Wir haben uns in den 14 Tage vor Ort super wohl und sicher gefühlt (dank Rama und Eliza und natürlich auch dank John dem Nachaskari) und hatten eine unvergessliche Zeit. Wir haben uns das Auto für eine Woche gemitet um flexibel zu sein (70 €/Woche ist wirklich fast geschenkt für das super Auto!!) und sind damit zum Supermarkt und zum Markt nach Ukunda gefahren. Elizabeth und Rama haben sich so süß um uns gekümmert... Eliza ist eine Topp-Köchin und Rama hat immer dafür gesorgt, dass der Pool und der Garten 1 a in Schuss bleibt. Wir haben beide richtig ins Herz geschlossen und halten auch nach unserem Urlaub den Kontakt.
Eine Safari (Tsvao East) haben wir über Robert Safari (spricht sehr gut deutsch) gebucht und auch eine Tour zu den Wasini Islands (schnorcheln und tauchen) haben wir über Robert gebucht: Hat alles super geklappt, pünktlich und zuverlässig + sicherer Fahrer!

Wir können der Familie Reichel nur von Herzen danken, dass wir ihr tolles Haus bewohnen durften und können die Villa Kuishi zu 100 % empfehlen!!!!

Homestay

The villa is very well equipped as described and lacks nothing. If you want to watch a movie in the evening, you need to bring a small DVD player. There is no TV, and that's a good thing. The garden is very beautiful and well-maintained. The private pool is clean and wonderfully refreshing. The garden shower is sun-warm and simply delightful. It's fantastic to doze off on the comfortable loungers. The rooms are spacious, clean, and the climate is pleasant. The staff - they quickly become friends - take care of details and the big picture with care and sensitivity. A big plus is the car that can be rented cheaply. Everything is easily and quickly accessible with it. The way to the beach is pleasant and not far. The resort is very well guarded and one feels absolutely safe. The young askari (night guard) on the property of the villa is very good and a very kind person. We felt at home in Villa Kuishi, and the "staff" were our friends who took care of everything so we could enjoy a completely carefree vacation. We thanked them with a nice "staff party" on Friday afternoon, good food, games, prizes, singing, and even Maasai dancing... a beautiful afternoon! We would choose Villa Kuishi again for our next stay. In the 5 vacations I have had in Kenya so far, this was the best address. Best wishes to all!

Traumurlaub in der Villa Kuishi

We, 4 girls (25-36 years old), spent a wonderful 3 weeks at Villa Kuishi. Despite initial skepticism about a vacation in Kenya, we were lucky to go. Arriving at the airport at night went smoothly. Lawrence picked us up promptly at the airport and took us on a little tour through the city. Arriving at Villa Kuishi, we were warmly welcomed by Janet, John, Roland, and Petra (we were fortunate to meet Petra and Roland there ourselves). Over the following three days, the two introduced us to Kenyan life. Shopping with the rental car (thanks Roland for driving :-) ), or with a taxi (Lawrence helps wherever he can), and even shopping with the Matatu (lots of fun involved) is possible without any issues. The nearest supermarket is about 20 minutes away by walk. 1.5 km away, but also the small roadside shops are recommended for buying fruit, vegetables, or souvenirs.
The villa is even more beautiful than it looks in the photos. Each room is cozy and lovingly furnished. The large veranda also invites you to linger. Martha, the housekeeper, does her job flawlessly. The villa is always clean and tidy. The pool and garden are also well-maintained thanks to Rama's excellent work. Especially at night, it is fantastic to drink a cocktail in your own pool with a small seating area. Thanks to the very friendly and attentive night watchman John, you can enjoy this. Martha, Rama, and John were always very helpful and committed. Above all, you hardly notice them. We were initially concerned, but the only observers we had were the monkeys that passed by the trees next to the villa in the mornings and evenings. Janet is a great point of contact for questions and concerns about the vacation, for example, safari booking. The Diani Beach is approximately a 10-minute walk from the villa. After the short walk, you will be overwhelmed by a beautiful beach. This invites you to take long walks. Of course, you will also encounter the "famous" beach boys there, who are happy to engage in a brief conversation. However, we have found that these conversations can be very interesting and informative about the country and the people. People can be. Even if you want to be among yourselves, or just want to lie on the beach to relax, this is respected by the Beach Boys. All in all, it was a dream vacation.

Dream villa - dream staff - dream vacation

After spending our 15th vacation in Kenya, this was one of the most beautiful. Both the staff and the local support worked perfectly. Shopping with the help of the chef is not a problem and, as a result, an adventure. The house is cleaned daily and in top condition. There are no limits to food preferences. Der perfekte Urlaub

We are two women and spent our vacation this year at Villa Kuishi in Diani Beach.
The journey to Villa Kuishi was very smooth. The Rreichel family arranged a taxi driver to pick us up at the airport in Mombasa. He was waiting outside with a sign bearing our names. After this beautiful journey from Mombasa to Diani Beach, we were already expected and warmly greeted by Janet, the Swiss neighbor, Martha the housemaid, and Rama the gardener. We felt instantly at home and enjoyed every minute from then on. The house itself is perfect. Two spacious identical bedrooms with bathrooms, a well-equipped kitchen, and an upper floor that invites you to linger. The house was furnished with love, you can see that at first glance. The garden is very well-kept and the pool fits perfectly. Martha, the housemaid, is a gem. She prepares breakfast, cleans everything, and takes care of the well-being of the guests. She is not intrusive. She cooks very well and also helps with shopping for the necessary groceries if assistance is needed. Fish is brought fresh to the house by the fisherman Martha orders from, and she washes and prepares it in the kitchen. Martha then takes care of the cooking. She masters it perfectly.
Rama the gardener takes care of the garden and the pool. Everything is always very clean, and he does his work very discreetly. It never disturbs the relaxation in this house.
In the evenings, John, the night watchman, comes. He is very quiet and doesn't stand out at all. His discretion is exemplary. As soon as a light goes on somewhere in the house, he goes to the back part of the garden from where the windows are not visible. When sitting on the terrace, he also stays there. If any problems arise that Martha and Rama cannot solve, Janet, the Swiss neighbor, is there to help gladly. The way to the beach is a beautiful walk and is rewarded with white sand and turquoise sea. Of course, there are "Beach Boys" there, but they are there to show tourists around. You can also safely go to the reef with a dhow and observe the underwater world. Or simply take a nice walk on the beach. At "King 4 love" on the beach, you can also buy something to drink. It was an unforgettable holiday.

Wonderful, a little paradise

We were four here (2 friendly married couples) and it was spacious enough for the privacy of each individual. We were the first guests in this brand new, just opened dream villa. The entire furnishings are very tasteful and authentic, dishes, towels, and pool towels are available in large quantities and there was never a shortage of anything. The house staff is very diligent and friendly, and the on-site manager is very competent and lovely. The property is an absolute dream, and the pool brings happiness, especially beautiful with evening lighting for romantic hours during a night swim! The kitchen is fully equipped with a huge refrigerator that produces great ice cubes quickly and easily. The terrace is a true oasis of well-being and remains the living room for every hour of the day and night. Also great is the cool upper floor for dreaming under the almost open sky. The landlords have been very friendly and interested from the beginning, one always feels like visiting friends and genuinely welcomed. We will definitely come back soon.
