Holiday house in Schiefling

We had a wonderful time with the best weather in their beautiful vacation home. In the house, we lacked nothing for daily use. We especially liked the huge carport, as we also brought our motorcycle. The proximity to Slovenia and Italy is highly recommended from there. We already miss the peace, the darkness, and the great view from the terrace. We can recommend this vacation home without reservation. Best regards to the Hiewels family and the good soul on site.

Short trip to Carinthia.

We were warmly welcomed with fresh pastries and a bottle of wine. The holiday home was preheated for us, as it was quite cold at the time. It is well equipped, lovingly cared for and the location is ideal for hiking and letting your soul rest.

A cottage in absolute tranquillity with a magnificent view and amenities that are unique in their completeness. Cultural institutions, mountains, lakes can be reached in a short time by car. The on-site support is ensured at all times, so that there is no lack of helpful tips (e.g. regarding the Kärntencard). We will come again.

Oasis of Well-being

We were greeted with a warm welcome in the beautiful spacious holiday home that offers all the amenities for a relaxing vacation. Overall, we liked the peaceful location, the beautiful view, and the freedom of movement in the house. The perfect interior equipment that provides everything needed was also appealing to us. Additional benefits for us were that there is no through traffic and the extra sinks with bathroom cabinets in the two bedrooms, which we found very practical. There is a large terrace with a table and deck chairs that directly invites you to sunbathe.
Nearby, there are good hiking opportunities and a guesthouse.
We enjoyed the week very much and made ample use of the free pass for the beach in Schiefling.
It was a beautiful and relaxing time that we can recommend to everyone.

Perfect in all aspects!

In summary, it can only be said: Simply perfect! The beautiful location of the house with an absolutely perfect and loving equipment. Everything is simply there to fully enjoy the stay. We also had the pleasure of personally meeting the Hiewels family and thank these nice and sympathetic people for a wonderful holiday in their cottage. Carinthia, as always, thrilled us with its many excursion possibilities: swimming in Lake Keutschach, climbing in Kanzianiberg and the Sportarena Villach, bike tours right from our doorstep. . . .

Wellness vacation

We went on vacation in a holiday home for the first time. This house exceeded all our expectations with its amenities and cleanliness. The warm welcome with cake and wine by the host family impressed us very much. The location of the house is an ideal starting point for many activities, such as swimming in one of the lakes, hikes, and sightseeing in the beautiful region of Carinthia. The evenings on the terrace with sunset behind the mountains and the many fireflies were wonderful. Due to the proximity of the forest, we encountered some deer daily.

We can recommend the holiday home 100 percent.

Arrive and feel comfortable

We were guests for three weeks for the first time in this holiday home, which is furnished with a lot of attention to detail and very cozy, where we immediately felt comfortable. The house is located in a very quiet settlement on a mountain at 650 meters altitude. The house and garden are top clean and well-maintained. The kitchen is equipped with more than enough good tableware and all necessary equipment. There is really nothing missing in the household. You just have to bring clothes, food, and yourself. The beds are very comfortable, ensuring a restful sleep. We enjoyed the fantastic view of the mountains and the Pyramidenkogel from the terrace every day in nice weather. Simply great and relaxing. Family Hiewels (landlords) live in the holiday home next door. We were warmly welcomed upon our arrival. A bottle of wine and homemade cake were already waiting for us in our house. We received many great tips for excursions that were very helpful (e.g. hiking in the nearby area to Hafnersee, boat trips on the Wörthersee and Ossiacher See, visiting Burg Landskron and Hochosterwitz, there are many beautiful beaches for water lovers, and much more). Three weeks are simply not enough to see everything. That's why we plan to come back. We would like to thank the Hiewels family for their extremely kind hospitality, which contributed to a completely beautiful and unforgettable vacation. See for yourself! We can highly recommend this vacation home!

Very pleasant holiday !
The welcome with a good bottle of wine, which was already on the table
a great furnished house in which nothing was missing, from the microwave to the hoover, coffee machines and so on
You immediately have the feeling that we will feel at home here.
The house is very clean.
The owners, who live next door for a longer period of time as a holiday home, gave us good tips for things to do, which were very helpful. Hospitality is very important here. Without being intrusive
We sometimes enjoyed the view of the mountains from the terrace until night, after we had escaped the (beautiful) hustle and bustle of Lake Wörthersee and Velden.
It was simply beautiful
You can do more than enough, 14 were almost too few.
And Mrs. Hiewels (landlady) also made sure that the weather was nice (when needed) with her "Schöner"
(if needed) with her "fair weather switch", which we gratefully accepted.
We definitely plan to come back

The flat is lovingly furnished and every little detail has been thought of. The beds were freshly made when we arrived and we were welcomed with a bottle of wine. The title of my evaluation alone is reason enough to study this informative evaluation of mine. As a long-time holiday home tenant in various countries, I have never been offered such an object. The location, furnishings and above all the cleanliness are rated excellent. Every detail in this holiday home is in the right place, and should anyone have a wish, it will be dealt with immediately by the Hiewiels family in their usual manner. This holiday offers countless possibilities, be it mountain hiking, sea trips, cable car rides and last but not least, enjoying the magnificent view in unbelievable tranquillity in the beautiful house. This rating is a real experienced holiday time without exaggeration but with respect for this not everyday object.

Starry sky

We have been going on vacation to Carinthia for about 30 years, but we have never had such a beautiful and cozy accommodation. Not just 5 stars, but a whole starry sky is needed. A dream of a holiday home!

In this holiday home, we felt at home from the very beginning. There was absolutely nothing we missed. Many thanks to the dear Hiewels family for the unforgettable holiday. We arrived with a car, trailer, and two motorcycles. The deep gravel in the carports is not ideal for motorcycles, but otherwise parking the vehicles was no problem. This location is perfect for motorcyclists. A trip to Slovenia is highly recommended. We will definitely come back.

Ein wunderschöner Urlaub

As fans of the Penken settlement in Schiefling, we inhabited house number 8 for the first time. The house is lovingly and comfortably equipped. The tasteful furnishings, well-equipped kitchen, and comfortable beds ensured a relaxing holiday. The amenities include an extensive collection of books and games, as well as maps, travel guides, and many excursion tips. A special highlight is the beautiful garden with a fantastic view. Particularly worth mentioning is the friendly and unobtrusive on-site support. The location of the house - away from the tourist hustle and bustle - ensures total relaxation and peaceful nights. One thing is certain: we will come back!

Holiday house Hiewels in Schiefling am See

The holiday home was and is very well equipped. Nothing was missing. The landlords welcomed us warmly. Schiefling was centrally located for our excursions. Worth visiting is the Pyramidenkogel. Driving along the Nockalmstrasse is wonderful. The mountain roses blooming there are magnificent. It was also very nice overall. The sun god accompanied us the whole time.

Top-equipped holiday home, absolutely quiet, with a large terrace and wonderful panoramic views of the Carinthian mountain world.

After about 15 years of holiday house/apartment experience, I can say that we have never lived in a house so well-equipped with all the daily necessities. It practically lacks nothing even for high standards. Booking, moving in, and handover were all straightforward and very user-friendly. The absolutely quiet location and the splendid view are excellent for relaxation. Many easy hikes are possible in the immediate surroundings. Within a radius of 20-30 km, there are numerous beautiful lakes with warm and completely clean water (including Wörthersee, Ossiacher See, Faaker See) and picturesque, mysterious ponds, pools, and moors. There is also the opportunity to go hiking in high mountain terrain.

Just a great vacation

"Mom, we've never had such a great vacation home before!"
Those were the words our 4-year-old daughter said after completing the first house inspection.
We adults can also wholeheartedly recommend the house. From the first minute, we felt at home and especially warmly welcomed. Everything was clean and comfortably furnished. Everything was thought of. Books for adults and children, games, etc. The kitchen was completely furnished and had a cozy seating area where every breakfast was really comfortable. The living room and the two bedrooms offered a real "homey" feeling. The small bathroom was not a problem at all, as there was a washbasin in each bedroom. But not only the house itself was fully furnished. The garden also had everything we needed. Space to play, opportunities to find creepy crawlies. And for us adults: lounge chairs, grill, sun umbrella, and a magnificent view.
All around a great holiday home where the vacation can start from the first minute.
The surroundings offer everything one needs on vacation: relaxation, excitement, adventure.
TIP: The Wörthersee Card is worth it!!!
Now we've been back home for a month and our youngest (2 years) still says: "go to the mountains again."

Vicinity of the holiday home: Herrlich abgelegen und ruhig. Dennoch ist mit dem Auto alles zu erreichen, was man erreichen möchte.

free time activities: Vom relaxen am See, über Tierpark oder Zauberwald für Kinder bis zum Bergbahnfahren am Gerlitzen ist alles möglich. Besonders toll war auch die Tscheppaschlucht!

shopping facilities: 10 Minuten mit dem Auto bis nach Schieflingen.

Wonderfully relaxing days

We really enjoyed our time in the beautiful holiday home, located in the midst of nature with wonderful views! We felt very comfortable there, slept well - even the little one (not yet one year old) slept well in the provided travel cot - and grilled and read in the evening on the spacious terrace. During the day, there is much to do at Lake Wörthersee, we ate and shopped well in Pörtschach, Velden, and Klagenfurt, and also visited the thermal spa in Bad Kleinkirchheim. All in all - a beautiful vacation, a great house, and at the same time a good starting point for all kinds of excursions!
