Wunderschönes verlängertes Wochenende

We spent a great weekend with 8 adults. In the evenings, we always cooked in the perfectly equipped kitchen, heated the beautiful tiled stove with the ordered wood, slept very well, enjoyed the very special interior, and sang and laughed loudly without disturbing anyone. Many thanks to the hosts!

Dreamy family weekend in the mountains

We had a great family weekend at the Gerberhaus and felt completely at ease. It is located very idyllically in the old town of Alpirsbach with its shops and many restaurants nearby. From the house, there are great opportunities for day hikes. We highly recommend the Gerberhaus to families, even those with very young children!

Urgemütliches, charmantes Haus

We were a total of 6 people with infants.
The house appears cozy due to its crooked angles and corners, giving it a quaint charm. However, it does not lack modern comforts. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful week in late autumn at the Gerberhaus. The house welcomed us warmly, everything was very clean and stylishly decorated with a lot of love. In the evenings, we heated up the sauna and then relaxed in the cozy living room with the great Swedish stove. In the town, we enjoyed delicious food in many places, and with our dog, we went on beautiful and long walks in the Black Forest. We would love to come back again.

We really enjoyed our stay in Alpirsbach, especially in the Historisches Gerberhaus.

Everything was perfect starting from the kind reception from the house maid who allowed us to leave our luggage while she finished cleaning the house so that we could walk around the town, to the warm reception of you who gave us a quick tour of the house.

The place was spotlessly clean and the house has all the amenities one could think of (nice touch is the umbrella near the door). It is a comfortable house made entirely of wood (chalet style) with a romantic wood burning fireplace. The beds are super comfortable, and the area is so quiet that you really get a good night's sleep. It is also nice to hear the ducks quack in the morning as there is a river that runs right behind the house. The most unique thing is the sauna in the garden. After a long day's hike in the forest, it was a pleasure to come home and enjoy a few minutes in the sauna.

We will definitely return to Alpirsbach and stay here again.

Cozy half-timbered house on the young Kinzig

Our holiday in Alpirsbach and the surrounding area was wonderful. Your accommodation is tailored exactly to our needs. We love it when it creaks when walking, enjoy stoking the fire, and generally find it exciting to live in a house with history.
The Flösserpfad is impressive from top to bottom, and we also fell in love with Schiltach with its beautiful half-timbered houses.

A great historical house that can be rented entirely for oneself.

A historical house that you can rent entirely for yourself, with all the comfort - that is rare!
Great praise for what you have done with the Gerberhaus!
Highlights: the sauna with infusion and the fireplace in the living room.
For bread and pastries, we recommend the friendly bakery also in the Gerbergasse!

Wonderful historic half-timbered house

Dear homeowners,

We really enjoyed our vacation here. The time passed too quickly. We noticed that the people in this town are really friendly. We already miss the crackling fire in the evening, the creak of the wood, and of course the bathtub. We are looking forward to the soon-to-be-installed sauna. We admire the work that has gone into the little house and how lovingly it is furnished. The dog also felt very comfortable right away. We would love to come back to the beautiful house to relax for a few days.
