Casa Aries is a sun-drenched, airy cloud-cuckoo's home with indescribable panoramic views.
The 1-room flat is suitably furnished for 1-4 people:
- Grand-lit/double bed
- Sofa bed (lying surface 160x180cm)
- open kitchenette (3-plate cooker, oven, refrigerator, microwave etc.)
- Shower/WC
- Bookcase with holiday reading
- Cable TV + mini-stereo system
- Internet WLAN
- Small terrace with table + 2 chairs.
During the day you are welcome to use the pool as soon as and as long as it is warm enough, which is located at the bottom of the terraced garden.

Location and surroundings of object
Casa Aries is situated just outside Cavigliano in a splendid, sunny panoramic position, above our own house and outside the fenced garden. In our terraced natural garden, camellias, magnolias, mimosa, wisteria, oleander, lilac, roses, olive, orange and mandarin trees, jasmine and cacti are in bloom, depending on the season. Palm trees are everywhere around the house anyway (they almost grow like weeds here!).
Cavigliano is a quiet, original Ticino village in the middle of the dreamlike hiking paradise Pedemonte (shortly after Ponte Brolla, entrance of the Centovalli, so ideal starting point for hikes through wild-romatic landscapes), and also otherwise very conveniently located for beautiful excursions (Valle Maggia - Onsernone Valley - Italy). In 10 minutes you are in Ascona or Locarno on Lake Maggiore. A good mix between seclusion and participation in the pulse of tourism!
Post office, Coop, bakery (with the best bread I know!), butcher's shop, flower shop and bank with ATM are within walking distance.
Cavigliano is also reachable by public transport through the Centovalli train (regional train), the train station is 8 minutes walk from your holiday logis, so your hikes can start right from the front door: 700 km of marked hiking trails invite you, from an easy walk in a diverse and highly interesting landscape with mountains, mountain lakes and traditional village scenes to a strenuous climb to the highest peaks of Ticino.
